Working on my mod list, so I'll get to this one eventually. At this time, I havent progressed in the campaign far enough to get a mech.

Yeah, doesn't seem to be working as intended. All of the upgrades show up four times, likely once per difficulty since Firaxis changed the way difficulty is handled. Judging by the amount of traffic, though, I doubt this mod will be updated for War of the Chosen.

Question: Does this mod still work with War of the Chosen? The game's so crash-prone with old mods I haven't had a chance to find out.

They have it listed as not working. Not surprising, since they like to replace the vanilla classes with their own. However, if you use a vanilla mech, it should still work.

Well, any perks for longwar's new classes will have to come from them. I try to avoid any dependencies on other mods.

Sounds right. This mod was never intended to upgrade non-standard classes.

The only real problem I had with Spark units was their survivability, since they cant take cover. Their +4hp heal didnt quite do it. So the additional defense and regeneration helped a bit with that, while not being OP.

I tried creating a mod that would allow them take cover, which worked, but it caused a few animation issues - so I dropped it.

I'll be interested in seeing what you come up with.

Navigate there and look in the Config folder.

i thought it was part of the base game ... the only mod i have for spark heads is SliWhists SPARK Pack, and that isnt one of them.

I put regen early since I wanted to use my Sparks as tank units. My usual experience is that they take a ton of damage if you put them up front. The slow tick of 2 hps per turn helps just a bit.

You can tweak INI values to what works for you in your style of gameplay.

I feel like I would at least switch the default costs and ranks of CPU Acceleration and Regen. +Hacking is kinda meaningless late since the only unit that will be really good at it end game will be the Specialist, while regen is amazing. With careful usage you never have to repair your SPARKs, or it allows a tank spec SPARK to basically ignore the first two hits it takes per mission. It seems like something the player should have to work for.

yeah it's pretty powerful. something else op is using the reroll awc perk thing (it actually gets access to every perk available through that system). although i think some of those breaks the spark and gives it 2x of everything.

Just read Metal Over Flesh's description. That pretty much makes Sparks 1-man wrecking machines. :) Combined with this mod, wow.

there's an aim technology in the flesh to metal?? mod for sparks through the proving ground. (that mod gives a LOT of use for that building btw for sparks and regular units)

Have you tried "Moddable DLC Weapons"? You can add accuracy to the weapon that way.
