technical.difficulty 3 Aug, 2019 @ 10:02am
please either update this or like give it to someone else to work on cause this seems like a really cool and useful mod for people who want to experience better random new worlds
Orcanator 11 Oct, 2018 @ 8:58pm
out of date :( please update
Sogga 23 Aug, 2018 @ 6:13am
Same here. Replaces them with "Any/All". Can you update it for 1.25?
Bacon 28 Apr, 2018 @ 1:57pm
@nvernon I've been having this issue too.
nvernon 7 Feb, 2018 @ 11:24am
Ok I think it removes provences added in the 1.18 on up. But it dose remove provences added in the 1.20 and up updates.
nvernon 7 Feb, 2018 @ 10:27am
This mod remove provences from all over the old world map.
Isari 3 Oct, 2017 @ 10:12pm
Is it entire world random or just Americas?
sion gaming 1 Jul, 2017 @ 2:46pm
I guess ill try it then :3
Emperor Penguin  [author] 30 Jun, 2017 @ 9:27pm
It should still work if you activate it. All it is is a part of the file that says 1.22 instead of 1.21. I would update it but steam is being wonky and not letting me upload or update my mods.
sion gaming 30 Jun, 2017 @ 8:53pm
out of date D: says the mod supports 1.21 while the current version is 1.22
Emperor Penguin  [author] 30 Jun, 2017 @ 8:49pm
It should be usable now. Is it not?
sion gaming 30 Jun, 2017 @ 6:26pm
Seems like a coold mod, will it be usable in the new update any time soon?

That's cool :D Use it as you please, i just want more people to be able to enjoy the RNW part of the game. :steamhappy:

@[KAoSS]v0lliz I cannot thank you enough for this post. I agree that 8x8 tiles will provide the greatest density of large tiles. Interestingly enough, I was already subscribed to your mod.

I was wondering why I couldn't get more than one 8x8 tile to spawn and after using your mod files I finally managed to get more than one to spawn at a time. I made two quick 8x8 tiles to test this and voila, here is the result:

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=906863270

Do you mind if I incorporate your files into this mod? Full credit will of course be given.

Beautiful work! A suggestion from a gameplay experience: Its generally a good idea to avoid a big blob of landmass. Human players will just try to colonize the coastal provinces and try to block others so they can have all the landmass for themselves. This is easily avoided by breaking up the landmass, either by making islands, or atleast shaping the landmass to have a greater percentage of coastline. (iv'e made this mistake in my own tiles :P )
If i may come with a suggestion to tile sizes. If they are kept to a maximum of 8x8 size, potentially four tiles could spawn of that size, making the RNW "greater" in volume. This will ofcource need a greater number designated in the default file. Ive added a file for such use that contain up 9999 provinces here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=648617478 Cheers:steamhappy:

@Emperor Penguin thanks
Emperor Penguin  [author] 6 Oct, 2016 @ 5:14pm
Conquest of Paradise is required to run the random new world generator.
Dallak 4 Oct, 2016 @ 5:46am
Did I must have any DLC to run it?
Teachtaire 26 Aug, 2016 @ 6:37am
@Emperor Penguin: Teenage hippies are a useless pursuit. Let them be a thing of a past era, one which was more perfect. With the Kinks.
Nosonja 25 Aug, 2016 @ 8:30am
@emperor penguin Could you make a direct link here just upload the files to dropbox and paste the link here
Emperor Penguin  [author] 24 Aug, 2016 @ 1:03pm
@NOOSE No clue how to help you.

@Teachtaire No clue how to do that.
Teachtaire 8 Aug, 2016 @ 5:44pm
Can you upload this to the paradox forums? Steam workshop is as reliable as a teenage hippy.
didrik gaming2012 13+ 8 Aug, 2016 @ 5:25am
@Emperor Penguin Yes i am. However if i leabe EU4 and log in again and check the mods list. It always says it is inactive, even though i manually activated it. That is why i think it has to be updated
Nosonja 5 Aug, 2016 @ 9:33am
Direct link?
Emperor Penguin  [author] 3 Aug, 2016 @ 5:58pm
@Gammelsmurfen This does not randomize the whole world, just the new world. Are you playing the game through steam?
didrik gaming2012 13+ 3 Aug, 2016 @ 9:13am
@Emperor Penguin. I did what you told me to. It didnt work :/
didrik gaming2012 13+ 3 Aug, 2016 @ 9:10am
@Emperor Penguin If i am correct. This randomizes the world
Dill_Chiips 30 Jul, 2016 @ 2:46pm

Emperor Penguin  [author] 30 Jul, 2016 @ 2:36pm
@awesombro What do you mean?
Dill_Chiips 30 Jul, 2016 @ 1:43pm
how do i actually play on the map?
Emperor Penguin  [author] 30 Jul, 2016 @ 8:53am
@krisp3115 For which tile?
The Big Nut 30 Jul, 2016 @ 5:01am
Its wierd, if you tilt the map right, it looks like The Eastern Kingdoms from World of Warcraft.
Elzephor 28 Jul, 2016 @ 3:33pm
I'm just going off of what I see in the screenshots! If they look fine to you, ignore me. I haven't tried tried them out yet.
Emperor Penguin  [author] 28 Jul, 2016 @ 2:57pm
@Elzephor Awesome thank you! I was wondering why those were appearing.
Elzephor 28 Jul, 2016 @ 9:08am
One thing I would suggest though - smooth out your coastlines. This is fairly easy to do in GIMP - just select a 5 pixel wide border of your coastline (so the selection includes both the underwater and land area along the coast) and apply the blur function to the whole selection. This will give you an easy transition from land to sea, and prevent those ugly black boxes you get when zooming out.
Elzephor 28 Jul, 2016 @ 9:03am
Really really good work! I'm so happy other people are making tiles now, these look awesome! I had no idea that planet generator existed, I'll have to try it out. Bravo!
Emperor Penguin  [author] 26 Jul, 2016 @ 3:39pm
@Skipper Tile Making [forumcontent.paradoxplaza.com] Let me know if you have any questions.
✪OliveGargen 💢💢💢💢 26 Jul, 2016 @ 1:56pm
I have a question - is there a tutorial anywhere on how I could make my own RNW tile? Where would I look first to start?
Bitbyte 26 Jul, 2016 @ 12:50am
nvm
Bitbyte 26 Jul, 2016 @ 12:50am
Ironman compatible?
Emperor Penguin  [author] 25 Jul, 2016 @ 9:39pm
@Brummbaer Thanks! The description has been updated with links to the compatible mods.
Brummbær 25 Jul, 2016 @ 3:50pm
Arghs.... the coding was removed by the automatic anti-maleware/phishing filter. Guess you know how to get the correct link yourself. How the formatting is done can be found in the corresponding help
Brummbær 25 Jul, 2016 @ 3:47pm
No problem: After your recommendation I did search for Elzephor's RNW Improvements mod. The code for creating this kind of link is (url=steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=602251342)Elzephor's RNW Improvements(/url) but you have to replace the round brackets by the squared ones. How to format your description can be found by clicking on the formatting help :KSmiley:
Emperor Penguin  [author] 25 Jul, 2016 @ 12:11pm
@Arcman Unfortunately this is not Ironman compatible due to the way the game is hardcoded.
Emperor Penguin  [author] 25 Jul, 2016 @ 12:04pm
@Brummbaer I don't know how to do this. Do you know how and if so can you either let me know how or post a link to a page describing it? I can't seem to find anything on the subject.
Arcman 25 Jul, 2016 @ 6:57am
Would this mod still allow the collection of achievements?
