People get really prickly over stuff that give a big advantage. There was this one mod that got shit on because it basically opened up the Aimpoint and gave it a wide field of view.

The best thing to do if playing seriously is just to force pure on the server so everything is exactly the same.

I feel ya though. It'd look cool in third person and I'd like to see it. I made a mod that illuminates like this too but didn't mod the world texture becuase it'd suck to think your well hidden only to get killed becuase the other guy has a mod that makes the weapon you're using glow. Aren't world model mods allowed even on sv_pure 1 servers? If so competetive or not it'll still be a cheap trick.

You did the world model texture as well? So a self illuminating world model texture? Anyone on the opposing team rocking the Sterling will be running around with a lightbulb. That sucks for the guy trying to sneak around on night maps.
