@TanzNukeTerror There is a block that's called Wet Dirt, in case you were wondering.
Fuyuno 30 apr. 2017 la 18:00
shoot. i was hoping to get the different dirt hues as well lol
ah well, thanks ^^
Sir Greaves  [autor] 30 apr. 2017 la 15:04
>do you also plan on adding this sort of mechanism to dirt and sand and others as well?

There's only one type of dirt, as far as I know, and all the colors are just that one type of dirt, hue-shifted for different planets and biomes. Same with sand.

Unless there's actually different types, not just colors, I don't think it can be done.
Fuyuno 30 apr. 2017 la 12:36
i can't wait to see the rock crusher thing xD no rush of course, just don't overdo things ^^

do you also plan on adding this sort of mechanism to dirt and sand and others as well?

> 1, i love the rock crusher idea =D any idea on when it might come?

Most of my focus has been on Playable Fenerox, so I'm not sure. Trying to gently ease back into modding so I don't overload myself.

> 2, you have a dirt mod? o.o where is it?

The dirt mod I had became obsolete when Chucklefish made placed dirt take the color of the surrounding dirt.

> 3, i just realised i have most of your mods subscribed lol

That seems to happen, yeah.

> 4, nice AoE2 reference on the name xD accidental or not

Glad people seem to like that. \o/

>Sorry to bother ya, but I noticed this hasn't been updated in a while. I remember you saying you were going to add a recipe for cobblestone from these blocks.

Yeah, sorry for the delays. I'll add it to my actual physical list of things to do so I have something there all the time.

I got it
Sir Greaves  [autor] 10 nov. 2016 la 11:51
Sand, dirt, and I believe moon dust all get hue-shifted on worlds. There's nothing I can do about that.

Using sand as an example: All sand is the same material, just hue-shifted differently.

These rocks were all separate materials, so I could make them drop their appropriate material.

Sand is sand, and drops sand. CF changed the hue-shift stuff a while ago for various reasons, and I haven't been able to figure out how to get that back.
Super Brasilis 9 nov. 2016 la 8:50
hey dude can you make that for various kinds of sand and moondust i don't like to mine light red sands and get normal color of sand this is unreal i like the variable kinds of sand, rocks and others etc...

>Dude, I just wish the base game included this... There are so many buildling possibilities with stone that the game still doesn't explore...
>But... Lol! Isn't that the name for Age of Empires 2's cheat for +1000 stone?

Not sure, but if it is, it's a fantastic coincidence. I think it's a fairly common pun(?) used whenever there's rocks involved.

>Hey, nice mod. Exist a crafting recipe for the regular copplestone blocks? The only way to get it (need for some recipes) is to mine it on the firt planet type? sry for the english

The plan is to add a crafting station that lets you turn these into normal cobblestone. I just haven't done it yet.

It seemed my workshop stopped working for some reason, and a steam restart fixed the issue.

The second image refuses to load for me, but that's strange. I've patched those. It works on my end: http://i.imgur.com/aDTXUlr.png

You're sure you've subscribed? Restart Starbound?

Screenshot? It's currently too hot for me to boot up Starbound, but I can check later if I know what I'm looking for.

I think it does. I'm not 100% sure, though.

compatible with Frackin Flora?
raydragonmaster34 29 iul. 2016 la 4:29
Will be great having these rock types to use, Think you could fix the other blocks back to their unique colors? Every planet used to maintain the unique coloration it's blocks appeared as but now every single block changes to a single shared color when harvested, I would really like to get those unique colors back.
Sir Greaves  [autor] 28 iul. 2016 la 7:53
>Didn't Frackin' Universe already add this?

Except I don't want to install Frackin' Universe just to be able to collect more rock types.

I imagine there's a handful of other people out there who share the same desire, but also don't want to have an absolutely huge game-changing mod to just grab some more rocks.
Mouse 28 iul. 2016 la 4:55

>Does this work OK with existing characters/universes?

Yup. For now. It might not play nicely when I add the rock crusher, but who knows.
Altered Nova 26 iul. 2016 la 12:19
Oh, rock crusher is a brilliant solution. Way more elegant then adding tons of new cobblestone crafting recipes.
Nerevar 26 iul. 2016 la 10:47
I asked this on your dirt mod, but since this one works a little different I thought I'd double check:

Does this work OK with existing characters/universes?

>Is there any possible way to make the different rocks be usable for crafting cobblestone blocks? They originally all turned into cobblestone right?

That would require absolutely insane amounts of recipes. I'm probably just going to add a rock crusher. These rocks go in, cobblestone comes out.

>Any chance of tweaking this to be such that you can buy the other rock types from Ursa Miner instead of harvesting them?

Most likely will be adding them, yeah. But I'll also leave it so you can harvest them.

>Being able to color dirt would be helpful if we could get the colors to match. I have yet to find a planet that uses one of the few colors that the painttool offers <_<
>Atleast I can use the interesting deeper rock types for building now, just gotta also find a way to fix dirt...

My dirt mod may be of some assistance. :D

Star-X 24 iul. 2016 la 1:57
Any chance of tweaking this to be such that you can buy the other rock types from Ursa Miner instead of harvesting them? That way you get the ability to make matching terrain on planets you intend on making sweeping customizations to, while not cluttering your inventory on planets you intend to strip clean of anything worthwhile and then abandon.

Basically like the other dirt type mod that adds the alt colours of dirt to TerraMart, but for rocks instead.
rizzrustbolt 23 iul. 2016 la 11:12
You're the best, Tanz.
Sir Greaves  [autor] 23 iul. 2016 la 10:40
>Does this affect dirt too? Because now you can barely match any dirt up anymore as all will result in one that will barely ever match where it came from -_-

Nope, but you can paint dirt now.

>Is this mod vanilla/multiplayer compatible?

It /might/ be? I haven't tried, but it's a good idea to make sure the server has the mods you do.

I don't add any assets, just change how vanilla ones work. So it might?
