ah well, thanks ^^
There's only one type of dirt, as far as I know, and all the colors are just that one type of dirt, hue-shifted for different planets and biomes. Same with sand.
Unless there's actually different types, not just colors, I don't think it can be done.
do you also plan on adding this sort of mechanism to dirt and sand and others as well?
Most of my focus has been on Playable Fenerox, so I'm not sure. Trying to gently ease back into modding so I don't overload myself.
> 2, you have a dirt mod? o.o where is it?
The dirt mod I had became obsolete when Chucklefish made placed dirt take the color of the surrounding dirt.
> 3, i just realised i have most of your mods subscribed lol
That seems to happen, yeah.
> 4, nice AoE2 reference on the name xD accidental or not
Glad people seem to like that. \o/

Yeah, sorry for the delays. I'll add it to my actual physical list of things to do so I have something there all the time.
Using sand as an example: All sand is the same material, just hue-shifted differently.
These rocks were all separate materials, so I could make them drop their appropriate material.
Sand is sand, and drops sand. CF changed the hue-shift stuff a while ago for various reasons, and I haven't been able to figure out how to get that back.
>But... Lol! Isn't that the name for Age of Empires 2's cheat for +1000 stone?
Not sure, but if it is, it's a fantastic coincidence. I think it's a fairly common pun(?) used whenever there's rocks involved.

The plan is to add a crafting station that lets you turn these into normal cobblestone. I just haven't done it yet.
The second image refuses to load for me, but that's strange. I've patched those. It works on my end: http://i.imgur.com/aDTXUlr.png
You're sure you've subscribed? Restart Starbound?
Screenshot? It's currently too hot for me to boot up Starbound, but I can check later if I know what I'm looking for.
Read the FAQ.
I think it does. I'm not 100% sure, though.
> Except I don't want to install Frackin' Universe just to be able to collect more rock types.
Is that confirmation that Frackin' Universe already adds this capability? If it does, then I guess I had better uninstall this...
Except I don't want to install Frackin' Universe just to be able to collect more rock types.
I imagine there's a handful of other people out there who share the same desire, but also don't want to have an absolutely huge game-changing mod to just grab some more rocks.
Yup. For now. It might not play nicely when I add the rock crusher, but who knows.
Does this work OK with existing characters/universes?
That would require absolutely insane amounts of recipes. I'm probably just going to add a rock crusher. These rocks go in, cobblestone comes out.
Most likely will be adding them, yeah. But I'll also leave it so you can harvest them.
>Being able to color dirt would be helpful if we could get the colors to match. I have yet to find a planet that uses one of the few colors that the painttool offers <_<
>Atleast I can use the interesting deeper rock types for building now, just gotta also find a way to fix dirt...
My dirt mod may be of some assistance. :D

Basically like the other dirt type mod that adds the alt colours of dirt to TerraMart, but for rocks instead.
Nope, but you can paint dirt now.
>Is this mod vanilla/multiplayer compatible?
It /might/ be? I haven't tried, but it's a good idea to make sure the server has the mods you do.
I don't add any assets, just change how vanilla ones work. So it might?
