Btw mod ain't dead. I've just been raising babies, moving, can't afford internet, etc..
Just made a smallquadruped head, very dimwitted face, dust attack, I love it.
The mod is functional and if I ever want to add more, I can. Y'all can make this stuff easy.
Some mods are unsafe to remove, like Frackin' Universe and other planet/universe altering mods. There are other mods that are unsafe to remove because they add things that the game can't cleanly replace (blocks mostly).
However this mod causes no issues when removed, so you should be fine to just unsub and let it ride.
@ everyone else - Sorry I haven't made parts in a ... very long time. It can't be helped with lifestyle changes and minimal incentive to make more.
But thanks anyway
pretty please?
But I also have not played since the update hit, aside from barely starting a character.
first and when you're done, obviously.
From the interwebz (https://starbounder.org/Spawn_Monster_Command) :
Usage: /spawnmonster type [level] [variantParameters]
Example: /spawnmonster hugebiped
Example: /spawnmonster hugebiped 10
It's possible to add traits, pick specific parts and colors, all sorts of stuff, but I never bothered to learn how for monsters (though I did learn how and forget how to color armor/clothing/furniture).
how do i spawn monster generator
or how to build a monster
FU would have to make a massive change to how randomly generated monsters actually generate to break this mod.
Unless something changes with the way monster parts are stored or coded, the mod should work indefinitely.
But vanilla Starbound already has several dragon parts.
I can't guarantee anything, but next time I'm making parts (free time where I can focus isn't common these days), I might consider it.. If it's something I can do.
Understandable, take your time! :) I think this already gives lots of variety but more varieties are always nicer. I was thinking if I can help to add more varieties but I'm not too confident with my spriting skill.
Having a brand new kid is.. draining, to say the least.
Hiya, you still there? If you're interested in drawing the monster parts I can assemble them.
If you set up the files right, the game handles the rest and automatically mixes your parts into the game, honestly monster parts are one of the easiest mods out there. Good luck!
If it's still appearing, and uses some of my parts, another mod you are using is also using my parts for some reason (which I'd prefer to not happen).
Otherwise it's just vanilla parts or another mod that you may have.
Unless of course Chucklefish changed the way the game stores monster data, which I doubt, but it is possible..?
how do i fix it!?!?
thank you so much, ive been trying to fix this for four days. ill be posting htis solution on all the forums, thanks bro
It's literally the same mod, but the new one is updated by a new author. So don't use both (file duplicate crashes and stuff).
I made the switch and haven't had any problems since.
