I agree with p0rtalmaster.
The choice of placing the carousel before the grinder was particularly abusive.

New portal concept reminiscent of Donkey Kong Country series, be interesting to see where it goes.
I suppose I could put an autosave right before you start the jump sequence. Putting it in each sucessive jump could make things worse if you trigger it during a failed jump. Also, timing is everything.
My second thought: go to the Steam overlay, go to Youtube, look up the DK rap.
