Then don't use those ones, if there are 3 versions of a song it'd be best not to do it solo. If there are only lead/percussion, then you can do that.
bloopah 2 Jan, 2017 @ 1:38pm
but some dont have a lead version or the lead version sucks
bloopah 2 Jan, 2017 @ 1:38pm
ok
Mechanite  [author] 31 Dec, 2016 @ 6:00pm
Like I said, lots of songs work well with solo if you use 'Lead' without percussion.
bloopah 31 Dec, 2016 @ 5:39pm
these songs SUCK without a solo version D:<

I didn't add many ocarina of time songs because initially this songpack was songs that weren't in other packs, and lots of others at OOT. Also, I never was a big fan of OOT (I love tloz though).

Anyway I would add it, but I'm not currently updating this project. The only reason I made the last update was because of the addition of Steam Workshop to Starbound.

How about the song of time? It would work well with the other zelda mods.

its all pretty much nintendo just so everyone knows.
Mechanite  [author] 28 Jul, 2016 @ 3:33pm
Sort of both. However, it is a very small amount of editing. For games that allow it (most NES, SNES, GBA and some others) I will rip the music from the game ROM, convert it to midi, convert to ABC, and edit it. Sometimes it won't sound that good (such as the case of Shovel Knight, those songs are insanely fast - but don't get me wrong I love the SK soundtrack). Sometimes though I just use sites like Musescore and VGMMusic. So this is half compilation, half ported from older games I guess.
Technick 28 Jul, 2016 @ 9:53am
Question: Do you make your own midi files to match the tunes you like or do you find good copys online and mix them into what you need?
Geomark123 27 Jul, 2016 @ 10:18pm
This is my childhood.
Mechanite  [author] 27 Jul, 2016 @ 3:40pm
@Technick I normally only do songs from games I've played, but maybe I'll try some of those games (or listen to their soundtracks) and give it a shot. If I haven't heard the music before, I wont really know if the music sounds true to the game.
Star Baker 27 Jul, 2016 @ 9:09am
7.8/10 still no Touhou but a bunch of good songs, however I'm going to have to cherry pick them. You get a download anyway, just not on Steam.

Really, try Touhou.
Technick 27 Jul, 2016 @ 9:01am
There's always more games to pull from if you are in need of songs. Some games with great soundtracks that havent seen on the list yet...

Bionic Commando, Castlevania, Chrono Trigger, Donkey Kong Country, Doom, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Megaman (3, 5, 9, and X), Sonic the Hedgehog, Street Fighter

These would all make good starting points. I usually listen to a ton of tracks from sites like ocremix, and these games have plenty of melodies that are mixed all the time.
Mechanite  [author] 26 Jul, 2016 @ 10:28pm
I'm not removing any songs, however, if you download the forum version you can remove all the songs you don't need. The link is in the description.
Leo The Lion 26 Jul, 2016 @ 10:20pm
i love these sorts of mods but my main copmplaint is WAY TOO MUCH EARTHBOUND AND POKEMON MARIO AND LOZ. granted i like a good chunk of these songs. though this isnt my mod there already is an undertale songlist mod so that can save a bunch of space other then that good job
Mechanite  [author] 26 Jul, 2016 @ 10:18pm
Thank you! The last update has a lot of typos, and I've fixed them, but I'm not sure when the next update is going to be. I've run out of ideas for tracks at the moment and I typically only do songs from games I have played (with a few exceptions).
Technick 26 Jul, 2016 @ 10:04pm
Damn fine collection man. Keep up the good work.
Mechanite  [author] 25 Jul, 2016 @ 3:26pm
I don't make or edit the songbook, only add music. You'd have to see if Chucklefish could do that, I'm not even sure if that is possible Sorry.
Hand 25 Jul, 2016 @ 1:35pm
can you add a search bar so we can easily geto to one side to the other?
Mechanite  [author] 24 Jul, 2016 @ 12:49am
Ok I'm also going to add Shovel Knight, but be wary. They are incredibly difficult to make sound good so choose your instrument wisely for them.. some instruments sound atrocious with Shovel Knight songs.
Mechanite  [author] 23 Jul, 2016 @ 11:39pm
Ok, I decided I'll try to update this sometime if I can figure it out. Expect Earthbound, and maybe some other stuff too!
Jibby 23 Jul, 2016 @ 4:20pm
Oh, neat :3
Mechanite  [author] 23 Jul, 2016 @ 4:18pm
You can only do that if you get it from the forum, not the workshop.
Jibby 23 Jul, 2016 @ 4:16pm
Oh shit, that's alot of songs, kinda makes it hard to find what you wan't. maybe add a feature so you can pick out and personalise you'r songs.:SBHorse: just a suggestion tho
✮Kisuna✭ 23 Jul, 2016 @ 2:34am

MrScorpion91 23 Jul, 2016 @ 1:50am

Mechanite  [author] 23 Jul, 2016 @ 1:48am
Sorry, I have no idea where you might find any other language for the game.
MrScorpion91 23 Jul, 2016 @ 1:47am
@Sniper_x002. By the way you can tell where the Russian language is available for download for the game?
Mechanite  [author] 23 Jul, 2016 @ 1:45am
Thanks :2015holly:
MrScorpion91 23 Jul, 2016 @ 1:45am

Mechanite  [author] 22 Jul, 2016 @ 11:03pm
@paho5 There is a new item on the workshop that has music just from Undertale. It might be worth it to check it out.
Draggonic 22 Jul, 2016 @ 9:31pm
thanks a ton (subsribing XD)
Mechanite  [author] 22 Jul, 2016 @ 9:27pm
It does have some, but not all of them. Check the last screenshot in the image thingy.
Draggonic 22 Jul, 2016 @ 9:26pm
does it have undertale music!?!?!? (ive bein searching for undertale songs in starbound but most dont work XD)
Mechanite  [author] 22 Jul, 2016 @ 7:25pm
Alright, it works. Thanks for the tip, Ansixilus!
Ansixilus 22 Jul, 2016 @ 7:23pm
If you want to cheat yourself an instrument, you can do so in admin mode (at least in a single player game. Type in "/admin" (without quotes) to activate admin mode. You can then use "/spawnitem [instrument]" to get one. The codes for the instruments are mostly just their names, so you could use "/spawnitem acousticguitar" to spawn an acoustic guitar. The item spawns where your mouse cursor is. Type "/admin" again to deactivate admin mode.
