If you're looking for an up-to-date version of the name list content in this mod (and a whole lot more such content than just what's here), check out Just Name Lists .

Hard to play this game without mods like this once you've played with'em. Cryin' shame

@Suncrusher: I'm not sure, and haven't had much time to spend on mod work lately. It is a very lightweight mod, but I can't guarantee it'll work correctly until I have time to test and update.

Does this work with the 1.3 update?

@Billy Dee Awesome! I'm glad you've enjoyed the mod and like those house rules changes you've made for your playthroughs.

I kept the Jovian scenario to a single settled moon to start with because of the way Stellaris handles research cost increases. Basically, the more owned planets, even in the same system, the more expensive research becomes. I think in a future revision, I may move that scenario to Titan, however.

Right now I am working on a gigantic storyline events arc for the United Earth Colonies, but I will hopefully get around to tweaking and enriching all of the human scenarios eventually.

I'm a big fan of the Jovian Exodus and Mars scenarios. I made a few changes, however, to the former that you might like to consider. First, I use the Habitable Planet Diversity mod, which separates each type of planet into three classes, class I-III, I being perfectly habitable and III being marginally habitable. Of the outer planets in the Solar System, I think the consensus is that Titan or Enceladus are the most habitable (Ganymede's magnetosphere notwithstanding), so I moved that scenario's starting world to Titan (which would make this the Cronian exodus), which I made a 10-tile Class I arctic world. I changed Ganymede to a Class II arctic world with 12 tiles, and I made each of Europa, Callisto, and Enceladus (which I added) as Class III arctic worlds.
Also, I wonder if it's possible to have this scenario start with pops settled on all five moons with, say, 2 on Titan and Ganymede and 1 on the other three.

Also, in the Mars start I made Luna a class II desert world.

@Furaigon Seems to have been an issue with the "selectable = yes" line. They changed the way that worked with this patch. Fixed. Name lists should be working normally again now. Thanks again!

The name lists appear to be broken after today's patch. They're appearing with jumbled titles in the custom species creator and contain no names.

@happyscrub 'misleading' dude you aint buying anything stfu
Hegemon4Hire  [author] 30 Jul, 2016 @ 5:53am
@happyscrub The description details everything in the mod. I called it "Essentials" because it is essential to the function of other mods in the series. I think the name also works because it adds content that can enhance immersion and add character to the game, which is the purpose of the series and something that I consider essential to enjoying Stellaris. Nothing misleading about it. Just read the description.
happyscrub 30 Jul, 2016 @ 5:38am
Why is it called Essentials when it's all cosmetic? So misleading.

I echo, interesting. And the human pack gives a nice new-game-motivation. Good stuff.
Trace Projectile 25 Jul, 2016 @ 5:10am
Interesting, seems to add a few different enjoyable features. Guess I'll be looking out for those additional packs pretty soon.
