One minor suggestion: If you look closely in the opening sequence, the lady giving the speech actually has a unique uniform with shoulderpads; You might consider doing similar with this set, so that it stands out from the uniform you get at the beginning of the game and feels more like something a Max-Ranking Protector would have.

how about adding praelatus weapons?
like swords to match protectorate style
if i EVER mod, the first thing im gonna make is CUSTOM protectorate armour and weapons all balanced(ish) like this also how about a new ship u buy at license shop? also i dont mind u copied the protectorate stuff from intro

I'm fine as long as you don't name the armour praelatus, or having the same-ish concept. I'm sure others will agree with me with this: it's ok to unpack other people's mod files if you want to learn how to mod, as long as you don't upload an obvious copy.

An FU-version of this sounds interesting, I'd like to see it once you're done. (I may even link it here if that's ok with you)

I updated my copy of the mod according to my vision, exclusing set boni and more broad set of ingredients for now.
Would it be an issue if I posted a variation of your mod once/if i have progressed more?
I'd of course reference yours as the idea and basis, but it would be more adequate and requiring FU.

Hey there, yes you can unpack this mod. This mod wasn't really designed for balance with frackin universe, and I do not have a lot of time to update it.
Follow this guide to unpack the mod.

Recipes can be modified in .recipe files, the actual item data is stored in .chest, .head, and .legs.
I forgot how the multipliers work, but you should be able to figure something out if you unpack the base game files and look for other types of armour.

Hey there.

I think this armor needs balancing.
1) too much damage, not enough armor. there is armor in Frackin' Universe with more armor.
2) i find that this armor should have other benificial attributes, such as set boni - for instance heat and poison resist.
3) each armor piece has the same values - it should be different and more in line with other armor in this game:
the chest piece needs more materials but also gives more boni.
4) while grind is necessary for end-game items, it is too much mindless grinding. I would appreciate
it needing a wider variety of ingredients, some of which may be hard to find.

What do you think?

A question:
Can I manually edit this mod locally, for instance increase armor from 72 to 90?
If so, how?

How to get armor by exploits
1. Get a mod with an expensive item that is very easy to get
2. Gather alot of the item and sell it all
3. Get a mod with an ore shop for all your meterials

Why not just make it have the "perfectly generic set" stats or include the best of all three T6 sets in one, requiring all three of the racial T6 set's pieces to craft the relevant piece?

I got really excited about what was, more importantly, craftable protectorate armour... I was a little saddened when I saw the prices that are simply way out of my range to produce more than a single set if all of my characters pooled all of their resources. I guess it's back to using dyes on my original set every time I want to change colours. :P

OMG i agree so much with SCP_Foundation!
Also, I think it could need some more actual defense and fluctuation :D
Maybe make every stat 50% bigger than the best armor in that stat. If you want to I could make some numbers for you :D

I have but one suggestion for this mod, When I first saw the robes in the display case at the beginning I immediately thought "I hope we get to wear this at some point" and I think those would be far more fitting than the uniform beginner protectors start out with. Please consider my suggestion, this is a great mod

Fall damage can be modified via player.config, so I'm assuming the mod you're using is not modifying the file correctly, which could cause errors because this mod patches it.
The steam 1.4 version of 'No Fall Damage" was supposed to fix this. So you should probably install that if you have an external version, unless of course the steam one is still not fixed.

@Anchient I see in no way how that's a glitch. The boss scales with your items, so if you get past Teir 4 Armor, it does nearly one-hit damage, and so on and so forth. It is in no way a glitch, a cheat, a bug, or hacking, It's fair. Don't see why you think that's 'manipulation'. This must be your first game where you can farm bosses, Huh? Ever heard of Borderlands? Terraria? I could go on.

@Anchient Zarko You know, you can just repeat the Mine Quest, kill the boss and get the loot from there (I've never not gotten a diamon from it), and if you get the 'Virtual Uncrafter' mod, you can deconstruct the Monster-Pods aswell into more diamonds (and other materials).
So. Yeah. I've made multiple Teleporters using this method.
