S o f t  [author] 30 May, 2017 @ 12:36pm
yes. it is. it is just a cosmetic mod. so there should not be any problems with any other mods or addons. :)
number1millipedefan 30 May, 2017 @ 8:34am
Is this mod ok for the newest version of starbound?
S o f t  [author] 25 May, 2017 @ 8:27am
i am the total opposite then. we would make a great match. haha xD
Ickura 24 May, 2017 @ 9:20pm
I don't know about you, but to me creating sprites are harder than coding it in lol
S o f t  [author] 9 May, 2017 @ 9:22am
i was thinking about it, but i dont think i will make any more mods right now, as the coding is kinda sucky to work with and i am bad at coding. sorry. :c
🎀Hara🎀 24 Apr, 2017 @ 1:37pm
these are great because i was getting tired of my charicters hair and i wanted to change it and this was the only wig pack on the workshop, i was wondering if you make a wig pack with more casual styles too and maybe a one for differant cultures like Greek, Japanese or Roman hair.

S o f t  [author] 27 Mar, 2017 @ 8:40am
I did not tested that, and i simply do not now. sorry.
Takashi 27 Mar, 2017 @ 3:16am
does it work with Frackin Universe?
Shorty 29 Jan, 2017 @ 12:20am
@Legend, you can use tons of mods, you can rename in 1.pak, 2.pak ..... its stupid yes but it works^^ on my dedi server are 30+ mods all named from: content1.pak to content30.pak.
Legend 20 Jan, 2017 @ 9:06pm
@Oberic Well as I use a dedicated, I can TELL you it does not work. In order for it to work, one must drag the content.pak out of the workshop folder Steam downloads the mod to, and place it in Starbound's mod folder. This sucks, because as EVERY Steam mod is simply called content.pak set in seperately numbered folders. While this works fine for solo play, it does not for multiplayer play, as it means you can only ever have a single Steam mod at any given time. If you've got a solution by all means, I'd love to know about it. There's a ton of great mods I'd love to use.
Oberic 11 Jan, 2017 @ 2:23am
@Legend - I have a dedicated server, I pay for it on clanforge, and I have no problem using mods. It wasn't the easiest thing to figure out. Yeah I know, I'm here a few months late. But just saying.
Legend 1 Nov, 2016 @ 12:14am
Wish this had a Chucklefish forums version since one cannot do Steam mods on a dedicated server. Love the mod though. <3
Spartanjackwar 8 Oct, 2016 @ 1:03pm
This mod probably would most benefit from a mid-game character editor, but sadly none exists for several API reasons :(. Maybe some way of overwriting the face would be a necessity.
Ekaterina ♦ 7 Oct, 2016 @ 5:56pm
@Spartanjackwar

Well never mind. That did not work. :-[
Ekaterina ♦ 7 Oct, 2016 @ 5:35pm
@Spartanjackwar

I am currently searching for mods that add baldness as an option. Just search "bald".

Right now, I am testing Wardrobe Interface , which has a baldness option in the "head slot" list.
S o f t  [author] 6 Oct, 2016 @ 6:03am
Hello spartanjackwar. Thanks for the comment i appreciate that. :)

Unfortunately i have not found a good solution for this problem yet.
Which makes either some of the faces dissapear. (Glitch, Avian, Hylotl, Floran) or the Hair.
This is due the Alphamasks. I try hard to find a solution for all the Races in Starbound. :/ Without making hundreds of different versions (which is much more work) just for every single default hair/face/race combo. :/
Spartanjackwar 5 Oct, 2016 @ 6:26pm
Great mod. I have one issue though: the default hair. The default hair of a character is still visible underneath the wig, which makes me not use these wigs. Is it possible to make the hair of the character be overridden by these wigs when wearing them in the vanity slot?
S o f t  [author] 8 Sep, 2016 @ 2:25pm
@Jaulios when he do not use the Mod too, this is pretty normal. Thank you. :)
Juliuzz 7 Sep, 2016 @ 10:01pm
All of them are nice but I liked the pink wig the most because some of them didn't cover my character's hair. But I have to report to you that when I got my last tier magic armor for my female floran the wig didn't show up anymore for my friend, but it did for me. Just reporting a probable bug.
S o f t  [author] 19 Aug, 2016 @ 11:49am
Thank you! I am Glad that you like it alot. :)
I plan so yes. But i dont know exactly when i will add new ones. Since i have an other project i am working on currently. :)
Man In The Purple Hat 19 Aug, 2016 @ 7:44am
Love the mod! I hope you decide to make new hairstyles for all the vanilla races! that would be amazing ;)

@arcticbiscuit38 : Uhh personally, I didnt know wigs were alive in the first point let alone immortal, ya know since they can't "be died" :wat_creep:
S o f t  [author] 12 Aug, 2016 @ 12:33pm
@arcticbiscuit38:
Also this is.. simply my mod. I wanted to create it the way i wanted them. And i was so friendly to share them with others. for free of course.

Plus they are created more towards beeing historically accurate.

I hope this helps you to clear your question of "whats the point" of it. As much as i love custom-create my character i choose quality over cheap coloring and quantity.
S o f t  [author] 12 Aug, 2016 @ 12:33pm
@arcticbiscuit38: Its a Wig to my knowledge changing the color of a Wig can be possible but its not, mostly likely because its a more complicated process. Of course this a game BUT please keep in mind:

"...could be very useful for Roleplayers or maybe people who enjoy quite the Tribe/Ethnic look of things."

I cant think of a exotic earth based tribe with bright haircolors as color in genereal was not-so-easy to produce in ancient times.

I tried different Color Variations and it looked simply afwul. I dont want to create a mod with bright neon hair and filigraine detail. Also i thought about the small details and decorations i needed to recolor too. Which leads me. (Consindering all colors the game has in it in base) to a big big number i cannot stem own right now due to my other project i am working on.
AxelAnamations 12 Aug, 2016 @ 9:06am
if they cant be died whats the point
SPIDER 9 Aug, 2016 @ 4:56pm
Also like to mention that you look bald to other players if you are wearing it and they dont have the mod. haha found out the hard way about that one.
S o f t  [author] 8 Aug, 2016 @ 6:35am
Hey Bunny! First of all thank you that you like the mod.

As before Starbound 1.0 you simply had put your stuff with eg. Starcheat and others could use it easily. This method does not work anymore.

For Starbound 1.0 all Modders need to create proper Mods with this, if you play on a Server the Server itself of course requires the Moddata itself. :) So yes, you need to install the Mod on your Server to not have them turned into perfectly generic items. :)
Bunny Sneezes 7 Aug, 2016 @ 8:51pm
First i'd like to start by saying that the pixel work on these are very well done and thank you for your hard work. Secondly i'd like to ask a somewhat silly question, but I am new to using dedicated servers for mods. When we remove our wigs and put them into storage they default return to being the generic item and cannot be used again. Is this because they need to be installed with the rest of the server's mods too or is it just something that happens because of the mod itself? Thanks for your help in advance !:steamhappy:
SPIDER 6 Aug, 2016 @ 3:50pm
I like them but they just dont look good with florans in my opition. theyre still great! 10/10

Alessondria 29 Jul, 2016 @ 2:22pm

UPDATE: 27.07.2016
Hey there, due to request I changed the recipes. You now need Silk instead of Leather to make it more suitable for the Wheel.
Also. I removed all the stats from the Wigs. Leaving them with only +1 maxEnergy. Thanks for the Suggestions and the Help of course. Please Enjoy!
*Yuki* 26 Jul, 2016 @ 3:16pm
just remove 'statusEffects' and related stuff or replace it with something less-effective
S o f t  [author] 26 Jul, 2016 @ 1:51pm
Hey there, to be honest i did not put much thought to that. :) I just copied the code and dumped it in. xD But i will think about it if i may change it up. Thank you. :)
Altered Nova 26 Jul, 2016 @ 1:49pm
Very nice mod! I like the style a lot. You must have put a lot of effort into this mod.

I am wondering why they are armor though? Decently powerful too, at least as good as tungsten armor but much easier to craft. It would probably make more sense if they were just cosmetic (anything that provides defense really should be crafted at the anvil rather than the spinning wheel). I also think it would make more sense if they required silk to craft instead of leather and pixels.
S o f t  [author] 26 Jul, 2016 @ 8:59am
Thank you Yuki, you have been a great help so far. :)
