@Kronolos it doesnt...
Aethis 13 Aug, 2021 @ 11:05am
so does it work for 1.4?
Bubonic Tonic 19 Mar, 2020 @ 11:22am
is this compatible with other food mods, like a mod that adds new food?
RevvEmUp 26 May, 2018 @ 7:15pm
Is it possible to make mod priorities higher than 999? Frackin' Races adjusts the food stack to 20 and overwrites this mod.

For everyone having issues with this and/or v6's mod, here's one that works for me:

It will not work consistently. I have to uninstall and reinstall the mod each time I start the game or else I will have multiple stacks of each item.
Cenobite30 30 Sep, 2017 @ 3:21pm
Further addendum: It seems to work now. What I did was uninstall this mod, then installed another mod which was said to do the same thing. That mod didn't work, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled this mod. Now food items stack properly and they no longer have odd spoil times.

Just reporting to you as this seems like a bug.
Cenobite30 30 Sep, 2017 @ 2:39pm
Addendum to previous issue: I've picked up some other crops and they now have a time when they will go bad, though it is 278 hours.
Cenobite30 30 Sep, 2017 @ 1:46pm
I'm using this mod with Frackin' Universe. Everything was stacking fine about two weeks ago when I played last. Now, however, new food items will not stack with existing stacks. Is this a known issue?

This seems to break my custom HUD for some reason...

Sorry to bother about the bugs that you are working on, but there's a minor bug that prevents stacked foods from being stacked after collection. Example: I make 3 Oculemon Meringue, but when I make two more they create a new stack pile.
No error messages have popped up for this, but I wanted to ask about it.
jollymormongiant  [author] 9 Jun, 2017 @ 11:04pm
@Luna I haven't updated but from what I can tell it still seems to work for me on 1.3 (although the error ConfusingDalek posted still shows up in the log... I might have to look into that more).
If you are getting an error can you get me the error message you are recieving?
Strixursus 8 Jun, 2017 @ 9:58pm
Please tell me that you're planning to update this for 1.3. Playing Unstable without this was hell. ; w;
glassmelter 8 Sep, 2016 @ 10:53am
Great news! While you're fixing those, if you could also look into why I end up with multiple stacks of the same ingredient items in my inventory, that would be awesome too. I have three different stacks of apples, two different stacks of alien juice, and a whole lot of different bananas but no idea why.
Zauberin Stardreamer 19 Aug, 2016 @ 5:30pm
Alright, thanks!
jollymormongiant  [author] 19 Aug, 2016 @ 12:17pm
@glassmelter and Zauber: I'm working on fixing those issues. I've been busy the last few weeks so I'll fix and update this as soon as I can.
Zauberin Stardreamer 14 Aug, 2016 @ 7:20pm
In my Starbound.log file, I am continuously seeing this error showing up in the file:

[22:17:16.948] [Error] Exception while invoking lua function 'ageItem'. (LuaException) Error code 2, [string "/scripts/items/rotting.lua"]:24: attempt to compare string with number

Although this is harmless, could you please fix this to reduce the amount of clutter in the log?
glassmelter 13 Aug, 2016 @ 10:05pm
I love this mod, but there's an issue when you put stacked food into a container. I don't know if its fixable, but it sure would be nice to not lose all but one of each stack of food when it is stored in a box or crate.
xNTPxLuffy 13 Aug, 2016 @ 8:55pm
@jollymormongiant Love this mod!

However I'm having some stacking issues: https://imgur.com/a/18Nii
It seems food still has a rot time, but it's just set really high (Which is fine, but it does prevent it from stacking since the game still sees it as "different"

I don't *think* it's any of my other mods, but here's what I'm using (me and my server friends): https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=731656966

@jollymormongiant...

You are now one of my favorite people in the whole world. I am going to build you a shrine world, right next to the shrine world I built for LoPhatCow. My characters will bring you food offerings, and pray for your blessings on all food related endeavors.

I've tried all the other food-fixer mods, and yours is the only one that actually "fixes" what I considered to be the worst game addition, since the elimination of hunger and cold from the old Koala update. When they brought back hunger I was so excited...but not like this...never like this.

I like the concept of food that doesn't last forever...but not if it means my inventory is just going to fill up with single stacks of temporary loot. You have seriously made this game playable again! Now I can stock my fridge with all my favorite goodies, and know that they'll still be there when I need them. Thank you!!! :)

@oscuro: Interesting bug. I'm not sure what's causing that one. I'll see what I can figure out to fix that.
Oscuro 25 Jul, 2016 @ 8:23am
New version sort of fixed the issues. Food is stacking now, but now I have separate stacks. Looks like food is stacking into a "before" and "after" mod pile lol.
BLUESTORM2112 24 Jul, 2016 @ 10:53pm
I just use this Mod with it and it works fine now.

@ hype god: what food item was it so I can find the bug? also did you remember to quit your game and restart it so the game could get the latest version of the mod?
psychopomp 24 Jul, 2016 @ 10:33pm
Just went to check, and my food still is not stacking xD
jollymormongiant  [author] 24 Jul, 2016 @ 10:26pm
@BLUESTORM2112 and Oscuro: just uploaded version 1.2 of the mod. this should fix the stacking error you were having.
BLUESTORM2112 24 Jul, 2016 @ 9:12pm
Same it isn't stacking for me either.
Oscuro 24 Jul, 2016 @ 8:11pm
Food isn't stacking. I checked to see if Steam installed mod properly after subscribing, and I verified that it did since I see the name of your mod in the mod list within the game. Please help.
jollymormongiant  [author] 24 Jul, 2016 @ 6:33pm
@gucci: food still rots in casual without a mod

@Mechaguyver: the only thing different is this one sets the rot time for all of the food to the same (even though it will never rot) guaranteeing the food will be stackable. the mod you linked to just keeps the rot timer from dropping so if for some reason two stacks of food had different times before rotting(even though that time doesn't change), you wouldn't be able to combine the stacks.
Barf Ninja 24 Jul, 2016 @ 5:48pm
Does this mod do anything different from this one ?
gucci speedboat 24 Jul, 2016 @ 5:36pm
Too many mods making the game easy. Just play casual if rotting food is such a bitch.
Vlinx 24 Jul, 2016 @ 5:04pm
Thank you so much! Rotting food is so annoying; I want to stockpile my various meats!
