I LOVED IT! A very good puzzle, the first part was the hardest and the best too. Best one so far!

quakerfly 22 May, 2020 @ 11:53am
I've given it a lot of thought, and I can't finish it:steamsad:

But...how can you take the piston platform and reach the exit door?
quakerfly 22 May, 2020 @ 2:09am

That's amazing, but I didn't use the third box

Perfect difficulty. It kept me thinking for a while.
Polux  [author] 12 Nov, 2016 @ 8:12am
Updated ;)
Polux  [author] 12 Nov, 2016 @ 3:18am
It's the intended solution or yours that is crazy?
Lol, I would have preferred you to vote it down haha.
Well done, glad to see you back.
Prototype 11 Nov, 2016 @ 10:54pm
Wow the intended solution is crazy. Here's what I did: https://youtu.be/I0DwLOit3rw (not completely blind)
Requiemsoul 13 Oct, 2016 @ 4:19pm
Another real masterpiece. Three superb puzzles with a lot of thinking , very clever and unique. Favorite, of course :)
Polux  [author] 10 Oct, 2016 @ 1:29am
Thanks!
dire.fcs 9 Oct, 2016 @ 4:58pm
I replayed the map and the final part is now intended (getting the standard cube); great work here.
Polux  [author] 18 Sep, 2016 @ 5:34pm
Only a good dose of THC can help here :p
Thanks guys :)
Snoitulover 18 Sep, 2016 @ 5:16pm
That being said I will not thumbs down nor say that I solved it to inflate my abstract ego.
Snoitulover 18 Sep, 2016 @ 5:13pm
Neat map but way out of my league. I don't think taking more Ginko will help. LOL.
Polux  [author] 11 Sep, 2016 @ 3:07pm
Surprising for an experienced player like you but yep not easy one.
Thanks for playing :)
Spaceminnow 29 Aug, 2016 @ 1:18pm
I liked the video you released. The intended solution looks very logically pleasing. Difficult for me for some reason. I thought the puzzle to be abstract in nature from the solution I found. I only needed two cubes to solve it. I use the word "abstract " to describe solutions or puzzles that have trial and error in it.
Polux  [author] 29 Aug, 2016 @ 4:25am
Thanks for thumbs down, very kind of you.
I added the walkthrough. What do you mean by 'abstract puzzle' ?
Spaceminnow 29 Aug, 2016 @ 2:27am
I solved it :) The puzzle is a very hard abstract puzzle. I gave it a thumbs down for the description of the puzzle. When entering the puzzle it is so simple looking and the first impression is a straight forward logical puzzle. In my opinion, this is clearly an abstract puzzle. A better desripttion may filter away players who don't like theses kind of maps. The ending made me laugh xD. I am not sure if the solution I found is intended or not. Did you make a solution video for this one? I searched your utube channel and did not find one.
Talisac 13 Aug, 2016 @ 3:28pm
@my cow: back to front page, if you want poor and annoying puzzle you can solve. There is absolutely no trick here, and believe me, Polux knows a lot about tricks :p
Polux  [author] 13 Aug, 2016 @ 4:08am
Well, you are free to say what you want ; even if you are the only one to think that..
I wrote in the description : not for ******* noobs :p
My Cow 13 Aug, 2016 @ 3:54am
this map is not for fun, this map is for rage quit!!!
after some min, i understand this map full of ******* tricks that no one love or know.
in end of this comment, i must say this not hard or fun this just **** map.:steamfacepalm:

sorry.
Polux  [author] 6 Aug, 2016 @ 5:20am
Well, thanks Red' for telling me what you think about the map. I listen to your wise words. Yep certainly some little points to improve but I'm quite satisfied by the work accomplished so far and the map will stay probably like this. I'm happy if you liked it.
Zoraya, http://www.casimages.com/i/160806011008254637.jpg.html
Great :D
RedSilencer 5 Aug, 2016 @ 6:30pm
It really is a great puzzle, but I recognize some contrivances that muddle the solution quite a bit. The principle challenge of this puzzle is to aquire a second cube. So I think the ending is rather tacked on and gimmicky, but otherwise very clever and subtle. It is difficult to trust a designers choices in regards to the intended solution, but after solving this I have much more trust for Polux's design choices in this regard. As for aesthetics and the overall execution, there are some distracting attributes to this map, but I think easier overlooked when the challenges are presented as orthogonal as they are in this level.
Zoraya 5 Aug, 2016 @ 4:46pm
Good Gracious, I just feel like someone who conquered the mount everest...
Really a tough challenge and I concur with toncica. The design leads to look for simple solutions but eventually there´s always a lot of logical thinking required for each step and that´s what makes your maps stand out (beside the design of course).
Thanks for another very well thought out work!
Polux  [author] 4 Aug, 2016 @ 3:59pm
Yeah, for sure at first, in this kind of map, you have to be quite motivated.
I have a couple of experienced friends who would never found the solution without my help. So I gave them my kind support and appealed to their pride :p
However I think the map is clear/simple enough to make the progress not too frustrating or confusing and I was hesitant to give more hints.
I have to thank you for playing.
jandlml 4 Aug, 2016 @ 3:03pm
thanks toncica. i thought it was a great puzzle. hopefully im learning from these real difficult maps.
toncica 4 Aug, 2016 @ 10:57am
@jandlml, I think you're being unfair to yourself. It's a tough puzzle, a challenge for experienced players. I'm not sure how often I ran into a wall because the map does a good job luring you into the wrong ways. Without the support from Polux (by calling me a noob) it would have been hard to keep the motivation.
jandlml 3 Aug, 2016 @ 6:40pm
well this chamber made me feel real stupid.the only thing knew to do was was to angel the laser down the stairs at the end the rest i had to watch the video. man i thought my skills had improved. guess not
suanpan 2 Aug, 2016 @ 9:40pm
Yes,this video reproduce the first time I passed the chamber, there are many operations can be improved, become more concise and clear,I realized this later.Thank you for reminding.:p
Polux  [author] 2 Aug, 2016 @ 1:47pm
Well done :)
The end isn't exactly intended but I'm ok. I want the player to use portals.
For the second cube, only one fling of the (first) cube is needed.
For the third cube (noclip) you can simply move away the cube from the light bridge button and replace it after ; and you can use a cube to block the laser in order to pass through the portals more easily.
Other than that and some little things, I enjoyed your video. Thanks!
suanpan 2 Aug, 2016 @ 11:20am
I got inspiration from cyhborg‘s message. And this is my walkthrough, please click here ,I realized some steps are unnecessary when I check my video, but I think all the key steps are intended.Very enjoy it!Thanks for your work!:steamhappy:
Polux  [author] 2 Aug, 2016 @ 1:04am
The area with the infinite fling must be used three times.
;)
jandlml 1 Aug, 2016 @ 9:43pm
im able to push the button to drop the 2nd laser cube but i cant see how to get the bridge to that area.
RedSilencer 1 Aug, 2016 @ 7:47pm
Here's a hint for both of you: you don't need the funnel or to go to the room above and across from the 1st cube in order to get the 2nd cube. This is a sort of logical hint, not necessarily a cryptic one. :)
jandlml 1 Aug, 2016 @ 4:39pm
me either cochetmichl49 i cant even get any other cubes
cochetmichel49 31 Jul, 2016 @ 4:30am
Completely lost ! I don't figure any solution for the moment. Any hint ?
