Real Sol Textures

I'm learning to live with it, it's not such a bad thing. Since Venus rotates backwards in reality, I'm going to pretend that my empire figured out they needed to flip the planet upside-down by manipulating its magnetic field or some-such in order to successfully terraform it.
Celestial Caesar  [author] 28 Jun @ 5:34am
@Blast Hardcheese Well, I can't replicate the results on my end.
Blast Hardcheese 27 Jun @ 2:00pm
I know it's tilted because the game doesn't allow for planets with zero axial tilt, however it is still upside-down with the poles inverted. I doubt it's a mod conflict because I have the mod close to the end of my load order.
Celestial Caesar  [author] 27 Jun @ 8:20am
@Blast Hardcheese Must be a mod conflict, this is the texture:
https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fonp5c3163sy51.png

It shows up as "tilted" in-game because it's emulating the Earth's axis.

I just noticed after terraforming Venus that the planet is upside-down.

@Abolohit Recent updates have required me to update the files, including today's. I used to use the *, but I stopped after Steam started selectively informing me of updates, for some reason.
Abolohit 11 Jun @ 6:24am
Hi @Celestial Caesar, I got an idea, that you don't need to update the mod with every stellaris minor update.(unless there really are breaking changes with every minor updates which will prevent Real Sol Textures from working at all).

If it is just a matter of updating the version number, then I would suggest to keep the supported_version parameter in the mod descriptor file as "v4.0.*". Then it will show as up to date for all the minor patches of stellaris 4.0.*

Venus, Earth, Luna, Mars, Europa, the gas giants (if Gigastructures is enabled).
JMP 4 Jun @ 10:21am
Which planets are supposed to get unique textures on terraforming? Only Mars seems to get one?
Celestial Caesar  [author] 18 May @ 6:47am
There seems to be an issue with the on actions commands not always working. Chalking it up to am issue on Paradox's part since it affects planets at random. If a texture does not load properly, manually fire the script by typing "event realsol.[numeber]"
1 - Mercury
2 - Venus
3 - Earth
4 - Mars
Celestial Caesar  [author] 14 May @ 2:26pm
@ShieldsOfFire Go ahead!

@Meaty Ogre I don't have one. Perhaps someone made one, but I don't know.
Meaty Ogre 14 May @ 1:34pm
You keep mentioning a Planetary Diversity patch, but I'm not finding it in the workshop. Could you link to it directly please?
ShieldsOfFire 14 May @ 12:18pm
I think I'll just edit your solar_system_initializers as an overwrite for now.
LidlessEye 31 Mar @ 8:12am
Unfortunately the Earth Tomb world is just plain old Earth for me
Альфа 1918 13 Feb @ 3:24pm
Well, please like when you can integrate. I'd love for that mod to finally work and not go to waste
Celestial Caesar  [author] 13 Feb @ 12:41pm
@Alpha 1918 No to the first two. As for the third, I know that's been on my to-do list for a while, I'll get around to it sometime soon. Have to make sure that all assets are being used with permission.
Альфа 1918 13 Feb @ 11:53am
Can you make a patch for planetary diversity, sol 1000, and integrate the expanded mod into the main one fully?
Dekent 22 Jan @ 3:24pm
isn't sol system expanded long outdated?
Janlitschka 21 Jan @ 11:58pm
Can you tell on the compatability with Sol System Expanded? The patch seems to be long outdated
Theta-6 30 Nov, 2024 @ 8:14am
Just Checked, I cannot Find a Compat Patch for Real sol and PD.
Theta-6 30 Nov, 2024 @ 8:11am
I can Check again But didnt see one When i last Looked-
Celestial Caesar  [author] 29 Nov, 2024 @ 2:08pm
@Theta-6 There's probably a compatibility patch available for PD already.
Theta-6 29 Nov, 2024 @ 10:07am
Hey Alex, Do you think you could make this compatible with Planetary Diversity? Both This and It have Sol Textures But i love how Good Quality These Ones are, But For some Reason When using Both Neither Texture will work?
Celestial Caesar  [author] 1 Nov, 2024 @ 2:33pm
@ajr914oh Mars works, there seems to be some issue with Venus. It must be a vanilla issue with triggers, since the Mars and Venus ones are identical yet only Mars is working.
ajr914oh 1 Nov, 2024 @ 10:30am
I'm not getting custom textures for Earth, Mars or Venus after terraforming. I'm on 3.14.15. I tried it on a new game with this as the only mod loaded in. Any ideas on what I should do / is anyone else experiencing the same? Otherwise, the mod's normal textures are being applied. Just not after terraforming.
Dekent 30 Oct, 2024 @ 3:14pm
Fellow earth enjoyer who wanted to chime in I appreciate this being kept up to date. Playing with the planets not looking right just...feels wrong.
Celestial Caesar  [author] 25 Sep, 2024 @ 4:21pm
@EJR Thank you! There is a lot of behind the scenes code stuff happening, so some updates are easier than others.
EJR 24 Sep, 2024 @ 7:02pm
I just want to say props to you for keeping this updated from 2016 to 2024. IDK anything about modding so IDK the scale of mods when it comes to cosmetic to gameplay, but sticking by your work for this long is impressive. Again, props to you!
Celestial Caesar  [author] 7 Sep, 2024 @ 5:32am
@tredavidson77 That's normal. It's an annual check to force the right texture to be used.
tredavidson77 6 Sep, 2024 @ 10:28pm
The terraforming animation is looping on barren planets like Mars, Luna, and the other moons.
tredavidson77 5 Sep, 2024 @ 12:50pm
Has anyone found or made a patch for this and real space?
Big Boss 20 Jul, 2024 @ 9:55am
Thank you very much have a good day!
Celestial Caesar  [author] 20 Jul, 2024 @ 9:54am
@Big Boss Incompatible with this mod, you'll have to find a patch.
Big Boss 20 Jul, 2024 @ 9:49am
Real space and Planetary diversity, also thank you very much for your help!
Celestial Caesar  [author] 20 Jul, 2024 @ 9:47am
@Big Boss Please be specific and tell me if you're using other mods that affect the Sol system.
Celestial Caesar  [author] 7 Jul, 2024 @ 5:04am
@羊驼兄 Yes.
yangtuoxiong 7 Jul, 2024 @ 4:51am
Is it works now?
bezi233 10 Apr, 2024 @ 9:19am
@Alex FRD Nevermind, it works now. Aparently mars textures applies with delay. I didn't saw it on first test (i didn't unpasue the game).
pxsify 9 Apr, 2024 @ 11:07pm
@Alex FRD I'm not asking you to, but do you think there is a way to make something like it without the green patches?
Celestial Caesar  [author] 9 Apr, 2024 @ 3:25pm
@bezi233 There's probably a compatibility patch for PD.
bezi233 9 Apr, 2024 @ 12:56am
Is there any way to make this mod to work properly with Planet Diversity? I want my continental Mars with proper textures along with nuked Earth :(

Aside form that, Luna looks awesome, resto of sol too. Good job!
Celestial Caesar  [author] 7 Apr, 2024 @ 4:05am
@pxsify I'm not going to use another modder's work without permission, sorry.
pxsify 7 Apr, 2024 @ 12:25am
@Alex FRD Ooh yeah, Star Trek New Horizons had that texture, I actually just appropriated it from their mod.

Look here.

Celestial Caesar  [author] 5 Apr, 2024 @ 2:44pm
@pxsify Is there a texture for that?
pxsify 5 Apr, 2024 @ 12:00am
@Alex FRD What about a Borg Earth for the machine world version from Star Trek First Contact
Celestial Caesar  [author] 4 Apr, 2024 @ 3:06pm
@pxsify There is already a machine Earth entity. As for Gaia Earth, I left it as-is since where would desert-dwelling species live on this desert-less gaia planet?
pxsify 4 Apr, 2024 @ 10:38am
Do you think you can add the machine world Earth texture and make the Sahara more green in the gaia texture?
Celestial Caesar  [author] 2 Apr, 2024 @ 1:24pm
@The Pissmaker Yeah, asteroids are renamed in this mod.
Haligtree 1 Apr, 2024 @ 8:36am
This is one of the best mods for Stellaris.

It wish this mod had translations for other languages.

The names of dwarf planets and asteroids at Sol System have English name although the game is set as Korean. :P

Maybe because this mod renames these celestial bodies I assume?
