@Lekelokobs yes it does
Lekelokobs 26 Dec, 2021 @ 1:36pm
does this work with ongoing games?
Ryu Ketsueki 15 Sep, 2021 @ 3:09pm
I wonder how costy would be on the scripting side to give the fossils an usage meter like the pickaxes and drills. Would be the perfect balance
Boogie Bernd 1 Nov, 2020 @ 2:26pm
yeah, they are way too fickle. Would have been one thing if they broke occasionally, but the way it's currently done is way too annoying. Also neat to see that you tweaked the crafting costs to balance it slightly
Candied_meme 16 Aug, 2020 @ 6:37am
kinda breaks how fossil brushes are actually used.
PentaSquares 10 Jul, 2020 @ 2:45pm
oh yes

Thank you I bet you have a very handsome voice mister author!

i love this mod - thank you ^^ i'm always looking for fossils - question, what are the chances of making an alternate version that costs about 5~10x more than the breakable version for balance reasons? (it would -add- the brushes, not replace them)
lechkingofdead 1 Sep, 2018 @ 9:28am
thats all i needed to know
Symetemys  [author] 31 Aug, 2018 @ 9:28pm
It should be compatible as all this mod does is make the vanilla fossil brushes have infinite uses.
lechkingofdead 31 Aug, 2018 @ 12:07pm
i have played with mods so much i dont rember if nano brush is added by fracken or not but main point of my asking is. is it combatable with fracken?
Bonbon 26 Aug, 2018 @ 11:37am
good mod
RandomHoneySlime 2 May, 2018 @ 11:38pm
okay o3o still very usefull mod though ^-^
Symetemys  [author] 2 May, 2018 @ 11:05pm
Unfortunately only mining tool type items like the pickaxes can have durability.
RandomHoneySlime 2 May, 2018 @ 1:28am
just a thought mabey you could make one with a durability bar insted of unbreakable :P
umecoalpaw 21 Oct, 2017 @ 8:21am
I was always okay with losing the minigame, what I wasn't okay with was losing the tool!
Nategore 21 Oct, 2017 @ 6:46am
Only 53?

Weak.
Cytrix Drakani 1 Jul, 2017 @ 11:39am
sweet, now i can carry 1 advanced brush instead of 53!

@Tauzent Blitz
Mod has been updated and should be working now.
Tauzent Blitz 9 Jun, 2017 @ 5:43am
I get an error whenever I try to uncover something. The brush just freezes and the minigame window doesn't show.

@Magebrawler Aura
I couldn't find anything wrong, could please post a pastebin link to your starbound.log.
Magebrawler Aura 15 Feb, 2017 @ 3:58pm
Mod doesn't work.
Doctopus 28 Dec, 2016 @ 9:04pm
This mod, along with the fossil tool usage multiplier has made the whole gameplay feature of looking for fossils actually fun. Thank you for fixing starbound into a better experience.
Safi 28 Jul, 2016 @ 7:06am
I'd imagine this works fine on multiplayer, right?
Fuyuno 28 Jul, 2016 @ 5:10am
what if everytime the fossil-extraction window closes, it auto-gives the player a brush depending on what brush was used? (is that even possible? XD)
Symetemys  [author] 27 Jul, 2016 @ 11:13pm
From what I've read(and tried), active items like the brushes cannot have durability.:steamsad:
Fuyuno 27 Jul, 2016 @ 5:18pm
oh.. that makes sense then lol

and nice ^^ can't wait for it
Symetemys  [author] 27 Jul, 2016 @ 5:02pm
Brushes don't have durability at all. The script for the fossil mini game simply removes a brush from your inventory. Though I do have a couple ideas for brushes with durability that I'll try when I get home.
Fuyuno 27 Jul, 2016 @ 4:34pm
any chance of making a 'more durable brush' mod instead? xD
LemonPoppyMuffin 26 Jul, 2016 @ 6:52pm
They could have at LEAST made the best brush in the game have a durability bar :/
LemonPoppyMuffin 26 Jul, 2016 @ 6:51pm
that's what I'm TALKING ABOUT BABY WOOOOOO
Man In The Purple Hat 26 Jul, 2016 @ 6:42am
Great mod! yeah I never understood why the brush "breaks" after one use, However i do understand that one has to be extreemly careful while dusting fossils but they at least could have made it to where one would maybe need to 'wash' said brush after 2-4 uses and after maybe say 20 uses maybe replace the bush brissles maybe? I know actuall archeologists do replace brush head quite frequintly. but either way thanks for uploading this to the workshop! totally going to add this to my modpack in my collections :happy_creep:
Shurenai 25 Jul, 2016 @ 10:13pm
@Hurg Well..Technically, the brush doesnt break, but becomes unfit for use, you have to be pretty crazy gentle with fossils/artifacts to not damage or marr them, and splintered bristle ends on a brush can cause scratches or tearing depending on the material.....Still a little silly to apply to a game though.
Hurgablurg 25 Jul, 2016 @ 10:06pm
Should've been part of the unblanced unfished BETA piece o' sh*t game, honestly. How the hell do you break a brush after one use, anyways?
