Thank you for this! Could you make a version like of the commentary of Skull Bones?
Toyi  [author] 26 Feb, 2021 @ 5:06pm
Yes, it does
Boogie Bernd 25 Feb, 2021 @ 1:25pm
does the mod still work?
TheBlackDragon432167 28 Dec, 2018 @ 12:53pm
Thank you for this. I am suprised this wasn't in game already, since I don't think the transformer for the gentle biome will give you flowers and plants from that biome

I want what Astaroth said. Astaroth, release it

The flower sprites are VERY broken with this mod installed.

I like this mod, but I must say I had to change it a bit for my personal use.

I made it so that you could plant the flowers without having to till the ground, so I could have a grassy, flowery field. I also added the same edits to the spring flower (flowerspring) which in vanilla is another type of blue flower that commonly appears and also drops blue petals, (so if you some times broke a blue flower, it wouldn't give you the appropriate seeds).

You might want to check that one for a future update, if you're still supporting this mod, that is. Thanks for the framework, though!

@ultragreenyellow56, /spawnitem flowerblueseed (or) flowerredseed (or) floweryellowseed. As always, you need admin privileges for it to work.
ultragreenyellow56 2 Sep, 2016 @ 1:35pm
is there any spawn commands for the seeds?
Toyi  [author] 30 Aug, 2016 @ 10:04pm
@Thundercraft, there are not conflicts between CS and PF, so you can safely use both, but there is not "compatibility" per se (so CS won't let you craft flower seeds from petals)

@ BLUESTORM 2112, Just a clarification about the compatibility with FU, Plantable Flowers simply will do nothing at all if FU is installed. You may receive a "could not apply patch from source" error in the log, but everything will work fine. At the end it is pontless to install PF if you are already running FU, since it makes the vanilla flowers plantable and perennial.
BLUESTORM2112 30 Aug, 2016 @ 3:16pm
@Thundercraft They work together fine I used them together for awhile. But if you run Frackin Universe this will conflict with it.

"Toyi [author] 29 Jul @ 1:28pm
@Muffinman, probablyyou have Frackin'Universe installed, it overwrites the base flower.object files and removes the breakDropOptions. In that case, the flower-to-crops is managed by FU so you don't need Plantable Flowers."

Q: Is this compatible with Craftable Seeds?

(By that, I mean do they conflict or cause any errors?)

Awesome, thanks. :)
Toyi  [author] 31 Jul, 2016 @ 9:26am
@Mikablu, There is something in invalid terrain generation that sometimes makes the flowers (and other plants) to unroot themselves, droping petals and the seed.
All flowers are breakable after harvesting them, the small problem is that the first stage of the blue flower is only 2 pixels tall, and the yellow flower is plainly invisible. Anyway if you use the manipulator where the flower was, you will get the seed.
ShinyMikablu 31 Jul, 2016 @ 8:28am
Adding on to my last comment, I just noticed that only the red flowers leave behind breakable flowers to get the seeds. Blue and Yellow just disappear like in vanilla.
ShinyMikablu 31 Jul, 2016 @ 8:23am
Is this mod supposed to make seeds drop with the petals? For some reason I remember that happening on the first day I had this mod, but that doesn't happen anymore. I have to break the plants to get the seeds. If that's what's supposed to happen, it's still awesome.

Either way, excellent mod.
Gucky 30 Jul, 2016 @ 8:16am
I installed Platable Flowers and THEN FU, maybe thats why both seem to work XD
Gucky 30 Jul, 2016 @ 8:15am
Thundercraft, i use FU and this and it doesnt make any errors XD
well since i want to reduce the total amount of Mods and FU already has similar ones i uninstall this one.
Thundercraft 28 Jul, 2016 @ 11:05pm
Oh, shoot! I wished I'd known that this was not compatible (or needed) with FU.
I also ended up with that mess of repeated "Could not apply patch from source".
In the end, these errors cascaded to the point that my game crashed. :steamsad:

Uninstalling now...
Muffinman 28 Jul, 2016 @ 9:04pm
Okay thanks. I do have FU subscribed.
Toyi  [author] 28 Jul, 2016 @ 8:28pm

Should I worry?
Baleur 28 Jul, 2016 @ 4:35am
Wait what, this isnt vanilla? I never tried planting one of the flower seeds, but, i mean, if they arent plantable by default, why are the seeds in the game? lol xD
Instant sub

@Cave Herpes Mechaguyver There should be no conflict with mods that add new farmables or change the speed of growth.
Barf Ninja 26 Jul, 2016 @ 8:35am
Hey mate, does this conflict with greenRAM's Ore Plants+ and FJRS' Plant Speed Up mods?
M<3rry 26 Jul, 2016 @ 2:25am
Love this idea
Star-X 25 Jul, 2016 @ 11:11pm
With the addition of Giant Flower Petals and subsequently the removal of blue, yellow, and red flower petals dropping from giant flowers, this mod becomes absolutely essential, as otherwise dyes are insanely rare in the universe, being crafted from non-renewable non-respawning near-single-biome resources...
