would love to use this, however, the statuses go over the hotbar
Dudeknightz 1 Oct, 2024 @ 11:38am
Not useful in heavily modded as you can have too many statuses so they leak into the hotbar
Lyra 7 Feb, 2021 @ 2:13pm
yes, it just changes the graphics on your end.
Gunni Bunni 6 Feb, 2021 @ 11:39pm
I am probably going to be asking a dumb question here, but...

Is this Client side or no?
Renamon  [author] 5 Jan, 2021 @ 4:32pm
Not an issue with this mod. You have to change your own configuration to allow 8 players too. Being able to start inviting more than 4 people is completely local to each player. The server just needs it set so the group can exist.

I am having an issue with the mod where the invite button goes away after having 4 people in the party even though the server is setup for max of 8
Renamon  [author] 28 Apr, 2020 @ 1:14pm
Well yea, Lyra is right. I simply started multiple the game multiple times and connected via 127.0.0.1
Lyra 25 Apr, 2020 @ 12:12pm
They ran seven separate instances of starbound.
First screenshot: How did you play on one screen on several characters? When I tried to enter my world from the second character, he was given an error. The invitation also does not work. Also, I tried to create a local server, but then even one character could not enter the world, not to mention two or more characters.

Should be fixed now.
NexusIV 6 Jan, 2020 @ 2:56pm
no other interface altering mods
Lyra 6 Jan, 2020 @ 2:55pm
that doesn't look grey so much as it looks like everything is reading at zero. weird
NexusIV 6 Jan, 2020 @ 2:54pm
https://imgur.com/a/5Fy5NbL having an issue where everyone sees party members health bars as grey
Renamon  [author] 3 Jan, 2020 @ 4:55pm
Are you using any other mods that alter the interface?
A picture of the issue?
Modlist?
Lotond Legovachy 3 Jan, 2020 @ 8:47am
the latest update has caused some issues with the interface. it's not showing up properly.

@RainbowGryphon

There's nothing to fix if nothing is broken.

Inviting up to 7 players works just fine and i still get the invite button for the 8th (set 8 players max in the ini), i could probably continue but you know i don't have 32gb to keep doing this.

This mod is physically incapable of breaking the 4+ player invitation unless chucklefish broke it by doing something rediculously stupid when repositioning the invite button, as you can see, nothing of that is happening. SO its something on your end.

I removed this addon and now I can have more people on my party.
Also I checked on reddit and it seems the same for some people too.
I strongly suggest you to fix that so I can use it again
Renamon  [author] 18 Jul, 2019 @ 3:54am
I dont know anything about that, i've seen people with my mod have the entire left side full with players
ɆⱠ ₲Ɽł₣Ø❥42Ø 17 Jul, 2019 @ 3:25pm
For some reason I cant play with more than 4 people in my party....
Even thought I have the text confing on the archives of the game
Renamon  [author] 2 Jul, 2019 @ 8:17pm
I've already seen people mod this game and use this mod with more than 4 people in a party, the entire left screen was full.
NerdCuddles 22 Apr, 2019 @ 11:54am
@Coda
I barely get to play with more then a second person so
Coda 16 Apr, 2018 @ 8:55am
This really is an essential addon for UI, but it's a pity I can't seem to get more than 4 people in a party regardless of server config settings. Dunno if that's because of this addon or not.
Renamon  [author] 4 Mar, 2018 @ 8:35pm
Yes of course.
TheHotShot 4 Mar, 2018 @ 4:45pm
Is this compatible with FU and/or Frackin' Interface?
SleepySheepy 4 Mar, 2018 @ 7:28am
woah! cool!
Axorius 25 Jul, 2017 @ 9:06pm
i dont get triggered by the hunger bar being smaller then the energy/health bar. i get triggered when they get empty tho.
Aperture Science Prototype XR7 4 Apr, 2017 @ 11:23am
I wanna mod my own ui, but I cannot find any starbound sprites.
🌸aigis from persona 3🌸 5 Feb, 2017 @ 5:03pm
renamon daddy please
Renamon  [author] 5 Feb, 2017 @ 5:02pm
I did not have any success with "include" before (it made the game crash), only require worked so far, but i'll have a look into it again.
🌸aigis from persona 3🌸 5 Feb, 2017 @ 5:01pm
you're breaking my shit by ignoring me you fricking bully
Renamon  [author] 5 Feb, 2017 @ 5:00pm
I guess i'll soon enough find out if shit's breaking again.
Renamon  [author] 5 Feb, 2017 @ 4:58pm
Now i fear that the creator over at Elithian Races Mod did exactly the same, which will most likely neutralize each other's fix AGAIN and break it. I hope not. Modding for this game really needs some way to prioritize texture replacements.
Renamon  [author] 5 Feb, 2017 @ 4:57pm
I also looked into the Workshop version of the Elithian (expecting it to be more up-to-date like it usually is) and didn't see anyone even mention the incompatibility. So i took the chance to download the mod, look into that particular change and make a change in my mod that shouldn't render anything else incompatible, doesn't break anything visually and still force my texture being loaded over that of the other mod. Since Starbound has no way of prioritizing mods, especially mod texture replacements, there's no good way of forcing the game to prioritize my mod's textures over those of other mods. I had to change the background image name, this will prevent the game from loading the default background which both mods replace. HOWEVER this creates another problem (possibly), i dont know how good the game is optimized, having the background image being loaded twice (at least engine wise) could mean that one of those textures is wasted memory (IF it's loaded into memory).
Renamon  [author] 5 Feb, 2017 @ 4:54pm
The reason this is "bogus" is because a Race mod shouldn't touch the UI, it can cause lots of trouble, up to the point that another mod, such as mine, breaks and becomes completely incompatible even tho i build the mod as compatible as possible. A better solution would have been having a separate mod, that does this UI change, in other words keeping the changes you do modular so people can choose to select the actual changes they want especially if they are not a core part of the actual mod. Keeping both changes separate would have made both mods compatible as long as the additional UI mod wasn't being used as well. Workshop offers the possibility to show "required" mods similar to what Nexus does, which could have been used to point to the UI mod. This would have also made it much clearer what happened and easier for those poor souls who probably enabled and disabled mods up and down for an hour to figure out which mods were actually conflicting and would have made it easily fixable.
Texas Redhawk 5 Feb, 2017 @ 4:53pm
Yes, it was an unfortunate compatibility issue from modifying the vanilla UI files. I doubt the Elithian Races mod author intended any offense.
🌸aigis from persona 3🌸 5 Feb, 2017 @ 4:53pm
MHMHM MHMEMET OOOOO THANKS RENAMON DADDY
Renamon  [author] 5 Feb, 2017 @ 4:51pm
Yea exactly what i found when i looked into the mod.

The problem is that the mod changed the background image of the Party UI back to the small version it was before, just with a longer nameplate. This causes issues due to my mod changing the texture as well as the layout.
Texas Redhawk 5 Feb, 2017 @ 4:02pm
Elithian Races Mod changed the size of the nameplate UI to accomodate longer names. The mod author was planning a fix and offered a minor edit on the Playstarbound version of the mod, but the Steam Workshop version hadn't been updated yet due to the fix requiring a manual edit of the files.
🌸aigis from persona 3🌸 5 Feb, 2017 @ 3:44pm
HAHA ME TOO THANKS
Renamon  [author] 5 Feb, 2017 @ 2:43pm
Pushed an update that should fix this incompatibility issue with the Elithian Race Mod.
Renamon  [author] 5 Feb, 2017 @ 2:05pm
A race mod intentionally changing the UI? Wow. That's bogus.

Looking at the mod i saw no mention anywhere that a UI change has been done, giving users no clue about compatibility and even falsely leading them to me, because obviously and understably my mod appears to be broken when it actually isn't.
🌸aigis from persona 3🌸 5 Feb, 2017 @ 7:49am
YES
🌸aigis from persona 3🌸 5 Feb, 2017 @ 7:49am
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Renamon  [author] 4 Feb, 2017 @ 11:20pm
Sounds like the creator of the Elithian Race Mod might have changed something accidentally and left it in or it might have slipped into this mod whereas it was just a personal modification not meant to be shipped with the mod.

I suggest using the bugtracker/forum/conversation/suggestion thingy or (if not available) tell him via comment that there's something wrong.
CR48 4 Feb, 2017 @ 11:16pm
i'm just as clueless, i used to have both Elithian race mod and EPI working togheter for some time, until recently that oddities started to happen in my game, that's why i had to backtrack a lot with the mods
Renamon  [author] 4 Feb, 2017 @ 11:13pm
I'm kinda confused as to why a race mod would change the party interface?
🌸aigis from persona 3🌸 3 Feb, 2017 @ 11:28pm
Mhm yes i concur on multiple deg--

this is almost exactly what i said last time
CR48 3 Feb, 2017 @ 10:35pm
just a small update about the series of errors i have been having, for starters the problems with mobs dying for no reason was due to incompatibilities with smarter monsters mods and FU, that's kinda my fault since i subcribed instead of just faving, as for the bar offset, it's due to Elithian races mod:

COMPATIBLE, WITH ISSUES:
-Enhanced Party Interface: Both mods make a change to the player and party bars, and using both mods together causes this part of the UI to become off-center. A fix for this issue is being looked into.

since Elithian races mod adds more content i kinda had to uninstall this one, but still faving it and hopefully i can be using it in the future
