Didn't work for me on mac. I ended up using Sv3n/ktane-hue a python based approach

Has anybody been able to get this working?
Would be nice if the dev dropped back in here =(

Yeah this really needs to get fixed...

Hi I am having problems connecting to the hue. I followed the steps and changed the IP. I hit the hue bridge when the game starts and also when the hue mods load. Is there anything i can try to get it to work thanks.

Do you think you could possibly add support for MagicLight LED's? They're cheap chinese philips hue type bulbs that also have rgb capability. I don't know anything about modding, however, and I'm not sure if this is even possible. Here are some links to some python code for controlling these bulbs.

could you add for the arduino setup a byte for the bomb actually exploding?
Great Mod though
H3draut3r 24 Feb, 2017 @ 5:14pm
this mod as a Logitech G15/G19/G910 plugin/mod, and i would be love it :D
GeckoDev 16 Feb, 2017 @ 7:28am
It seems to hook up to the desk clock, not the bomb clock :( I have everything else working, and a bit fat clock display. but the bytes sent are for the "real time" clock, not the bomb clock :( hope to get in touch with the dev, or I will have to code my own lil' mod in a hurry :/

We are fitting a room for KTANE tomorrow, using your mod. Would love to talk to you for both credits and a tip for making this ;)

@jonasboye, thanks, that would be awesome :)

Will this work without the Arduino?
jonasboye  [author] 2 Feb, 2017 @ 2:44pm
I'll look into to it. I just discovered that the translation mod doesn't read the modsettings either on OSX, so I might be a general problem. Since the default setting is my own bridge IP, it obviously works for me on both OSX and Win
milkandcream 1 Feb, 2017 @ 5:59am
@jonasboye I guess the problem is that I'm running Steam on OSX?

I cannot get this Hue setup working either. IP address in instructions seems correct. What I have tried:

- removed http:// from the beginning of the ip in modSettings.json

- renamed modSettings.json -> modsettings.json

- hit link button before launching the game in Steam

- hit link button on the load mods screen

Is there anyway to debug this to see logs?

Hey guys I managed to get the lights working! I was hitting the link button on the bridge before starting KTANE and it wouldnt work, tried hitting link on the load mods screen and it worked like a charm.

Hey I am having trouble getting the Hue setup. I have setup the modsettings.json file and hit the link button, but when i start the game nothing happens with the lights :c
Juno 24 Jan, 2017 @ 6:41pm
also a way to use LED strips or DMX for lighting would be nice
Juno 24 Jan, 2017 @ 6:34pm
there should be an option with arduino to have a pin either go high or low when bomb detonates
GeckoDev 2 Jan, 2017 @ 8:28am
Gonna try making this with some nixie tubes :D Just because it is doable :P
Psico 20 Oct, 2016 @ 12:24pm
Thanks i will definately try that out. Thank you for the response.
jonasboye  [author] 12 Oct, 2016 @ 1:50pm
@Psico: Thanks for the feedback.

You should be able to set the default light brightness in the modsettings.json
It defaults to 255, which is 100% on hue.
Psico 8 Oct, 2016 @ 10:38am
Would it somehow be possible to enter what the default light brightness should be ?
Especially for the light during the defusal is way too bright..a more dim setting would fit better for evening fun with this.
I like the red blinking a lot, but I would really like a bright light happening for a second when the bomb blows, and then when the light comes back on it would be a more approriate dimmed light instead of 100% brightness. :-)

Dang, this is cool... Though I wouldn't mind a schematic/code for building the Arduino gizmo.
Plum 18 Aug, 2016 @ 11:33pm
holy shit that's a cool concept
Unreal Ed 15 Aug, 2016 @ 5:51am
That is really cool. Hopefully other games follow your example and make use of that kind of "internet of things"
