Sorry, that would require me to edit the Lamia race mod and redistribute it, which I am not comfortable with doing.

You could make a Hylotl character, use admin commands to upgrade their ship to the proper tier for your Lamia character, and then rename the .shipworld files for your Lamia and Hylotl characters to give your Lamia character a Hylotl ship. Other than slight inconvenience, there shouldn't be any progression issues with doing it this way. Just make sure to give the ship back to the Hylotl character before upgrading it each time.

It's an annoying process but it works. It's how I did it before I made my mods.

1: Yes. However, if you are using the BYOS system in Frackin' Universe, this mod is useless.

2: When you trigger the upgrade, it will upgrade to the correct tier. A tier 7 Human ship will upgrade to a tier 8 Hylotl ship. That is why the description says to remove everything from the ship before upgrading it.

A couple of questions:
1. Does this mod works in 1.4 patch and with frackin universe?
2. When the human ship changes places with the Hylotl one, does the new Hylotl comes in tier 1 and I have to upgrade it from there, or it is max out tier 8 straight away? (sorry for my bad english n.n"

Sorry for the late reply. To swap the ships, I simply changed the paths to the ships in the universe_server.config file. In this case, making the Human paths match the Hylotl ones, so when the game tries to load a Human ship, it gets redirected to the Hylotl one. Love the Hylotl ship so much, definitely subscribed to this one. Out of curiosity how did you manage to swap out the ships? I've tried every guide I could find and somehow end up with the "ship world corrupted" error forcing me to being unable to use the race it affected. I must learn the ways.

Thanks! I actually found a simpler solution before you answered, so sorry I forgot to tell you before you typed all of that out! If anyone is looking for how to make this work if your ship is upgraded all the way, simply delete the shipworld files (might want to save them somewhere else just in case something goes wrong). When you open the game again, you will have the Hylotl ship and it will be fully upgraded.

Make a new character. Use admin commands to upgrade the new character's ship. The commands are typed into chat while in single player, they can be found here . Rename the .shipworld save files to give the new ship to your old character. Save files can be found in the "\steamapps\common\Starbound\storage\player\" folder. It can take some trial and error to rename the files correctly if you have a lot of characters. Make backups first.

Upgrading wouldn't fix that. You will have to start a new character, upgrade the ship, and rename the .shipworld file to give it to your old one.

For some reason, my human's Hylotl ship has Human ship's fueltank graphs. Is there a way I can fix this without upgrading, because my ship is Condor-class already and can't be upgraded anymore?

No idea what is going on with that. I don't run any servers or know how to use mods on them. You can use it by yourself and just disconnect to upgrade your ship though. Ship upgrades don't happen too often.

Yes, if you upgrade in single player and returned to multiplayer, you would have a Hylotl ship and your human friends will have human ships.

If your friends had the Glitch ship for Human, they would have Glitch ships and you would still have Hylotl. The mod doesn't replace any files, it just makes the game load a different one when you upgrade.

You would have to remove every single item. If the server is not running the mod, you will get the human ship when you upgrade. You will have to go offline every time you upgrade.

So say I play with a friend and we've made it pretty far and I want to download this mod.
Would I have to remove every single item from my ship and upgrade?
