I wish 'fog-of-war' was possible, but I don't think it is. :(

pity... I was looking for a more atmospheric feel mixed with the "if your character can't see, neither can you" in a few top-down games like among us or hotline miami

Unfortunately no, that's not really how light works. More subtle light = less brightness.
Kate Hanami 5 Aug, 2022 @ 10:33am
can you make a "all light sources more subtitle" without decreasing their brightness?

>I don't know about a whole FU patch but one of my mods is conflicting with FU's recipe for trianglium pyramids, does this modify them?

I don't touch any recipes.

Fair enough. We are sorry.

>What about FU ores? Uranium and lead already glow so why not the rest?

I've made all vanilla ores glow, obtainable or not. FU uses some of those ores, but also adds some of its own.

I'm not going to go out of my way to include ores that aren't in vanilla, in a mod made for vanilla.

FU is so huge, I get constant requests to make patches for it. Which is a large amount of work on top of the stuff I'm already falling behind on. If you really want a FU patch, make a request in the discussion section or something and I'll get around to it eventually.

>I have a request could you make a version that excludes coal?

Probably not. I don't want this to have too many variants.

>Also bone seems to be affected by the mod as well.

I don't touch bone.

Perfect. I use your lighting mod and I love it but it does get frustrating sometimes when I overlook ore right next me. I feel like this is the perfect compromise without making the ore stand out so much that it becomes too easy.

Plus it kind of makes sense. I can imagine small traces of light hitting the surface of the ore and giving off a subtle gleam.

>Thanks for doing this one! It's much more subtle than the Illuminated Ores mod, and even more subtle than your other glowing ores mod. It's not so bright that it's distracting, and it's just bright enough that you can see them in pitch black conditions. Works really well with your lighting mod!

It's really difficult to test these things, because of the lighting situation in my computer space. But I'm glad you like this one! c:

>any plans on making a frackin' universe addon? =D

Some mod support is planned for several mods.

Updating my older ones for 1.0 is higher priority though.

>does this work with frackin universe? all the ores it adds i mean

It only affects vanilla ore.

This ( for me ) is so much better than the original subtle version. It has a perfect ( and actually sublte :P ) glow in pitch black darkness.

Thanks for this one :)
