nice little map with a fun puzzle
lfairban 5 Nov, 2017 @ 11:58am
Found an unintended solution: You can hold the reflector cube and stand next to the exit, bounce the beam through a portal next to the exit and hit the laser receiver, then back through the exit.

Good one, thanks.
Ani 31 Jan, 2014 @ 7:58am
I like this chamber. It's small, but it's probably one of the most clever challenges I've seen in Portal. Good job.

And honestly, the only thing I didn't find useful was the faith plate.
Geneosis  [author] 28 Mar, 2013 @ 6:17pm
That was medium as you could spend a lot of time thinking about wrong solutions because of the amount of useless interactions of elements in the puzzle X) But I know the solution itself is easy ^^
Apollo Geef 24 Mar, 2013 @ 11:22pm
That was a medium? Quick!

Strange thing about the second exit door... This bug exists but is not supposed to happen in this map X)
Rei 11 Dec, 2012 @ 1:15pm
Weird, that on first time playing through, the second exit door didn't open and I stuck. I believe it's not your fault, so at the second time everything went out fine - even the frankencube and me ;) #F4F
Geneosis  [author] 11 Nov, 2012 @ 2:12pm
Hem maybe this is not clear enough : but as said in description the Franken Cube is completely optional and not part of the solution X) Either I placed too many optional objectives in my maps, or you are just thinking too hard while playing ^^"
Anyway I agree that I placed a lot of useless stuff in this map and I usually consider that as a bad point... I probably supposed that it could be acceptable on a so short map ^^
8MMW 11 Nov, 2012 @ 6:53am
Liked this one very much. But I think it is possible to complete it skipping a lot, even franken cube - here is my .dem recording [dl.dropbox.com]. I have no idea what was actually the purpose of franken cube and the lower laser.
Geneosis  [author] 19 Oct, 2012 @ 3:54am
Glad you liked ;) Yeah this map is full of useless stuff to make you think wrong X)
Leo 18 Oct, 2012 @ 3:10pm
Well done! I guess I fell for the trick as the most. :) I rescued poor Franky after few seconds, placed him on the button and then I thought 5 min... how?... ^^
The other clever thing in this map is that fact the player naturally wants to place the cube near the laser reciever... :]
*Thumbs up*
Geneosis  [author] 6 Sep, 2012 @ 10:33am
Well there is probably a button you never used in the room ^^
carol 6 Sep, 2012 @ 10:27am
NIce quick puzzle (why can't I design quick puzzles!). Where was the Franken cube hiding? I could hear it but didn't see it!!
Geneosis  [author] 9 Aug, 2012 @ 3:24am
Oh niiiice, Valve just added a "owner stats" menu so that maps creators can see the exact proportion of like/dislike :p
1980 8 Aug, 2012 @ 4:11pm
Yeah, most of the stuff were just "pretending to be done" :)
Geneosis  [author] 5 Aug, 2012 @ 3:41am
@Mr.Johno : Will check your workshop ^^ Glad you liked this one ;)

@all : Thanks for playing and feedback!
Mr.Johno 5 Aug, 2012 @ 12:12am
Well done on a really small map. I do enjoy your maps immensly. thanks in advance for checking out my chambers
Worm 1 Aug, 2012 @ 1:46pm
I managed to get myself stuck under the trapdoor with the franken cube outside so I couldn't use it to escape. Otherwise good job!
mood3rd 25 Jul, 2012 @ 1:53pm
very good puzzle.
the franking cube & placement of the piston,
confused me for a while.
then I realised, the miss-direction.
grate stuff.
Geneosis  [author] 23 Jul, 2012 @ 5:01pm
Glad you liked it ^^

@tedwilliams4808 : Is there a specific map for which you need some feedback?
stormsend 23 Jul, 2012 @ 3:29pm
good job at making you think. lot of fun. visit my workshop if you please.
Baadrix 21 Jul, 2012 @ 7:24am
Small, but intense. Cool map!
cyron43 12 Jul, 2012 @ 5:59am
Thumbs up
Ebbzylon 3 Jul, 2012 @ 3:26pm
Very nice for such a small chamber.
giberr 26 Jun, 2012 @ 9:04am
god
Geneosis  [author] 26 Jun, 2012 @ 8:51am
@G915 : As said in description, Franken Cube (and button on the ceiling) are totally optionnal fun stuff here ;)
Captain Quakas 26 Jun, 2012 @ 8:49am
Never used the frankencube (didn't even notice it) or the button on the ceiling.
giberr 25 Jun, 2012 @ 8:29am
nice!
Le Petit Mort 21 Jun, 2012 @ 6:25pm
Nice and succinct little map you've got yourself there.
TicasFox 🦊 20 Jun, 2012 @ 4:10pm
Great puzzle! I guess the frankencube wasn't really needed, but still fun!
red iiis 12 Jun, 2012 @ 5:33pm
I like this chamber. Good stuff.
wolfie 🐺 7 Jun, 2012 @ 10:52am
Hehe, yeah I worked that out in the end! :)
Geneosis  [author] 7 Jun, 2012 @ 9:27am
@wolfpurplemoon : Well you can always exit the franken cube chamber by placing the franken cube on the cube button again ^^ . And I assume that some elements or links between them are totally useless for the test X)
wolfie 🐺 7 Jun, 2012 @ 9:04am
That was fun, though I got myself stuck in the franken cube chamber and never quite worked out what all the different things did! But I opened the door so that was all good!
TechDragon 1 Jun, 2012 @ 5:37am
Not bad
Constantine 28 May, 2012 @ 9:25pm
Nice Map, small and somewhat difficult...Good job :)
Boojum 28 May, 2012 @ 1:41am
Short and sweet. A tad claustrophobic feeling with such a small size.
Zapperlott 25 May, 2012 @ 1:19pm
haha ,ok, i completely missunderstood.. thanks for the tip
Geneosis  [author] 25 May, 2012 @ 1:02pm
As said in the description : The hidden room is just if you want a piece of cake :p And it's totally useless for the test itself ^^

@Yöjalka : Please the next time you propose a solution for the test, use [ spoiler]solution[ /spoiler] to hide it ^^ Because in fact your solution is the expected solution X)

@SQUASH_15 : Will try it ^^
SQUASH_15 25 May, 2012 @ 12:06pm
pretty tiny room... but you should remove the *hidden* part of the level, i haven't used it...
would you try my smallest room? not as small as yours...
