@mmm Not that I know of, and I've looked around quite a bit.
Kusari 12 Dec, 2017 @ 4:10pm
Does anyone have a fixed version of this?
Kyrrisayo 25 Jul, 2017 @ 9:58am
@Stroomschok Alright, thanks for letting us know!
Stroomschok  [author] 25 Jul, 2017 @ 9:53am
I haven't played Starbound for a while now, I don't know what the new travel mechanic has changed. The mod itself was pretty simple. I people want to pick it up themselves they are free to do so, but I don't expect myself to have much time in the near future to update this. Apologies.
Kyrrisayo 24 Jul, 2017 @ 10:24pm
@lunalex I could probably recreate the mod myself, but I'm not sure how to package mods for the Starbound Steam Workshop.. Does anyone here know anything about .pak files?
theheckromancer 24 Jul, 2017 @ 1:57pm
bumping, still needs a fix
stroomschok bless us with ur genius again :steamsad:

I really hope this mod gets an update, the new "100 fuel to go anywhere" mechanic is pretty lame in my book.
nulloperations 9 Jun, 2017 @ 12:35pm
Confirming Dez's comments. Currently non-functional.
Dez 8 Jun, 2017 @ 5:11pm
it seems that mod's functionality may need to be reworked for 1.3, since the fuel system was changed. Currently I can go anywhere in the universe for 100 fuel.

Am I the only one that tried to close the warp thing.

I am using your mod for my mod collektion. Thank you.

A good reason to keep an engineer and mechanics on board. I'm going to definitely use this.

non steam download? please?

Uncapped Fuel Cost + Biofuel + Ocean Planet = Nothing happed, just more fuel.

Hi, I've included your Fuel Cost mods as part of my mod collection: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=748797522&savesuccess=1

@Rathlon Tobias RIverwind,

You said "...and also the mod that forces you to go from system to system to make long jumps." did you mean the TrueSpace mod or something else?
Rathlon Tobias Riverwind 11 Aug, 2016 @ 10:28am
I'll sub to test to see if this works with a modded ship[using the large freighter ship] and also
the mod that forces you to go from system to system to make long jumps.

Hopefully this will work with it and not conflict with it, cause this and the system to system jump mod would go very well together.
Stroomschok  [author] 9 Aug, 2016 @ 1:41pm
Ok, it's uploaded, link in description. I think going way over 10 times the original fuel cost makes it sometimes impossible for new characters to leave their starting system.
Stroomschok  [author] 9 Aug, 2016 @ 5:05am
I'll take a look at it tonight. :)
Alessondria 9 Aug, 2016 @ 5:02am
10 or 20 times the cost. If you're willing to do this for me you could release it as a new mod. I'm sure some would like more expensive fuel and others would not.

On a new character/ ship with no crew warping to a star close by on costs me around 25 fuel. 250 fuel or 500 would be more what I'd like. I also use TrueSpace so it will force me to jump from star to start to get out of my area. Later on with a upgraded fuel tank and an engineer or two that will let me jump further but will still end up costing me fuel.

FTL fuel should be an essential resource! I'd write it myself but I could not find it in the assets.
Stroomschok  [author] 9 Aug, 2016 @ 4:52am
Could you give me some numbers on what you think would be better then? Keep in mind that people with non-upgraded ships should still to be able to reach nearby systems so it can't be too excessive.
Alessondria 8 Aug, 2016 @ 12:15pm
Hey is there a way you could make an addon for this please? I think jumps close to my system should cost way more then they do. Any way to make the distance tick more expensive? Stars in the next constellation are only costing me 120-ish without any crew.
Stroomschok  [author] 8 Aug, 2016 @ 3:19am
Too bad almost everything involving the starmap and navigation is hardcoded in the engine :(
nulloperations 7 Aug, 2016 @ 2:00pm
I dig this mod, but I just wish it also included something allowing you to travel between Ancient Gateways for reduced fuel cost (making this mod a cool combo of choosing direct travel vs travelling to local gateway hubs).
Omnishite 7 Aug, 2016 @ 4:58am
Great, thank you for the quick reply. Ill start checking
Stroomschok  [author] 7 Aug, 2016 @ 4:52am
Well if you unsubbed from this mod and the problem is still there, I doubt it's caused by this mod. Not only does it affect ony a single file that almost no other mod touches (and I'm fairly certain none of the ones you mention do), it also has no persistent effect on your savegames afaik. Check the log in starbound's storage folder to see what mod is throwing errors.
Omnishite 7 Aug, 2016 @ 4:34am
My mod list if it helps: Frackin' Universe, Frackin' Races, iDubbbz opeing chuckle replacement, Noice you are dead!, Pay up rent, GWTB Costumes, Earth's Finest crew improvements, Job Offers hire anyone, UT-47 Kodiak shuttle, Enhanced party interface, Craftable upgrade modules, Radiant worlds, Perennial Crops, Skizots dozers, Slow hunger, Improved containers, Cheaper ingots, Frackin' music, Better food expiry times, Illuminated ores, Ground penetrating radar station, XS mechs, Disabled drops for survival mode.
As I said, was fine yesterday. Open up steam, install uncapped fuel, load up the game, ctds after a few seconds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Omnishite 7 Aug, 2016 @ 3:53am
Installed this mod this morning. Had Frackin' Universe installed as well as around 20 or so smaller mods. Went to launch the game, chuckle fish logo comes up, then a few seconds later it CTD's (crash to desktop). Unsubbed form the mod, problem still there. Little help anyone?
J. Rush 6 Aug, 2016 @ 7:35pm
Does this conflict with Frackin' Universe?
Stroomschok  [author] 6 Aug, 2016 @ 7:08am
It doesn't interfere with savegames. And people can download the mod separately here: http://www.filedropper.com/uncappedfuelcost
rabzoue 4 Aug, 2016 @ 11:42pm
is it save breaking ? if i remove it ?
Stroomschok  [author] 31 Jul, 2016 @ 4:31pm
I didn't change the fuel ratio (though it's one of the very few things that can be actually modded of the warp mechanics). It's still 5 fuel per coordinate point.
Alessondria 31 Jul, 2016 @ 4:14pm
Okay so things should run well enough for this. BTW what is your fuel to travel equation? 1 unit of fuel per 1 map pixel distance or something?
Stroomschok  [author] 31 Jul, 2016 @ 4:09pm
I haven't had the chance to test that yet. But I understand what he does is that he regularly gives you a 10% fuel cost reduction modifier and these stack infinitely allowing for almost 'free' neighbour hopping after a while.

But wouldn't do much to counter that. The biggest effect of this mod is that you can't jump 'free lightyears' after exceeding the vanilla 500 fuel cap, because the fuel cost can now easily exceed your fuel tank (even when upgraded several times.), disallowing you to jump.

I've seen plenty of complaining about engineers though, so I expect they'll get nerfed at some point.
Alessondria 31 Jul, 2016 @ 3:18pm
I am reading that a ship crew engineer can basically give next to no fuel cost eventually in the base game. How do they effect this mod?
Alessondria 31 Jul, 2016 @ 1:17am
awwww
Stroomschok  [author] 31 Jul, 2016 @ 1:14am
Yup, that sounds awesome. Can't be done however :( Pretty much everything involving navigation, warping and the starmap is part of the engine and inaccessible for modding. Except for the UI looks and a few measly fuelcost parameters.
Alessondria 31 Jul, 2016 @ 12:18am
This is a request for another mod. I would LOVE a mod that did not let you scan planets in a system unless you are IN that system. So the starmap would just give you star types and a fuel cost. That would work GREAT for this mod! Why can I scan a planet thousands of light years away in another system? Makes no sense and gosh this would seriously make things a lot more exploration oriented.
Stroomschok  [author] 29 Jul, 2016 @ 11:35pm
@ BurnZeZ: I made a mistake in the filestructure *oops*

@injection: I think adding mechanic NPC to your crew increases your fuel capacity.
RobotLucca 29 Jul, 2016 @ 7:46pm
I always felt that 500 max fuel for any flight distance made having 1000+ max fuel on the ship pretty pointless. I mean, what's the point of having over 500 fuel in the tank if you can get anywhere with just 500 fuel? Now this is fixed! Yay!
BurnZeZ 29 Jul, 2016 @ 1:34pm
Will do; thanks.
Anyway, what about the update broke the mod?
Stroomschok  [author] 29 Jul, 2016 @ 12:19pm
Ok, I fixed the mod and also changed it so it doesn't go into negative fuel cost anymore. Please let me know if anyone is experiencing problems.
BurnZeZ 29 Jul, 2016 @ 10:16am
Doesn't seem to work
