I have an idea for this.
Digitized Dimensional cube: a 1X1 cube with a green outline and an black inside that flashes a green digital 1 and an green digital 0 (Alternating)

"Made from literal cyberspace this unique cube makes materials and food never rot, it also can store up to 456 slots of items. Made by ARASAKA Banking R&D, it's original purpose was to store highly valued commercial assets, now the next thing commercially in literally big storage via technological advancement"

Requires 100 of the digital blocks from this addon to craft:

"Arasaka Banking R&D is part of the Lab Branch of Arasaka Financing: your future money is in safe hands"

this mod work fine with modlists in 2024?
404_coffee.exe 15 Mar, 2023 @ 4:09am
this is really freaking useful thank you for making
R4skall 12 May, 2022 @ 10:12am
apparently if you break the bags without opening them they arent retrieved
Jon Bon  [author] 12 Jan, 2022 @ 11:05am
@MithranArkanere
Unfortunately no there are no refrigerated bags.
Plague 9 Dec, 2021 @ 2:23pm
that would be COOL
MithranArkanere 2 Jul, 2020 @ 2:44pm
Is any of the bags refrigerated?
Jon Bon  [author] 20 Nov, 2018 @ 4:55am
@richonrider
1-4 are crafted at the wooden workbench, with 5, and 6 crafted at the industrial workbench
richonrider 19 Nov, 2018 @ 2:05pm
where do i craft theese
lara.debock 30 Oct, 2018 @ 9:01am
i can finally have more slot space :D
Dave 12 Oct, 2018 @ 11:04am
Great and useful add-on Mod. Cosmetic back slot availability would be nice but that's just a recommendation.
Cosmic Meatball 28 Sep, 2018 @ 4:28pm
I want it to to able to be worn on ur back
Shape Shifting Snep 7 Sep, 2018 @ 5:12pm
id like if you could give the bags ans such the ability to have coloured added to them
Jon Bon  [author] 13 Jul, 2018 @ 1:26pm
@MissesLady I apologize for the inconvenience but your items are indeed lost if they were inside the bag upon upgrading.
ReservoirWater 12 Jul, 2018 @ 4:42pm
I upgraded my silk satchel to a digitizing satchel and all the items inside it disapeared. Is there a way i can get my stuff back?
fabulfuz 2 Jul, 2018 @ 11:35am
These would be really cool as cosmetic backwear too; actual functioning backpacks!
Jon Bon  [author] 29 Dec, 2017 @ 9:38am
@Sandyhogg
I believe the logic is that the Anvil/Forge is primarily used in crafting items for weapons and armor, the forgaging/agricultural tables are primarily for crafting items used for farming and hunting, where as the wooden/industrial workbenches are used for crafting items primarily used for doors, beds, chairs, lights, and storage. Since the bags are technically speaking storage items, this is where they are best crafted from. Hope that clears it up.
Ladydelina 29 Dec, 2017 @ 5:22am
The wooden and industrial workbenches? Why not the anvil and forge, or foraging and agriculture tables?
Jon Bon  [author] 30 Nov, 2017 @ 7:42pm
Thanks Darkdash, I'll add that to the description when I get a chance
@ScarabParamit I don't know off the top of my head if it is. But I know that this doesn't change anything in the game itself, so it 'should' be compatible? I really can't be certain though.
ScrambieBambie 30 Nov, 2017 @ 4:05pm
FU compatible? I can find such question but left without an answer.
kit 30 Nov, 2017 @ 2:36pm
/spawitem dufflebag

That was the only /spawnitem i could find. Hope i could help!
Jon Bon  [author] 29 Nov, 2017 @ 11:08am
I believe that it does work with 1.3
kit 29 Nov, 2017 @ 9:58am
Does it work with 1.3?
Kirubelle 20 Nov, 2017 @ 1:06am
ok nvm i just read description thats even better
Kirubelle 20 Nov, 2017 @ 1:05am
what is the id for best bag

i have inventory problems that cant wait for... anything
Jon Bon  [author] 22 Oct, 2017 @ 5:33pm
@Waa Waa
I'm actually the artist, not the programmer :)
But I do remember that Ackley had looked into it when we were working on this and we couldn't find a way to actually achieve this effectively. Sorry :(
Engineer Gaming 22 Oct, 2017 @ 4:00pm
@Jon Bon
Is there anyway you could make the backpack an equipable that increases inventory space? I have a couple of mods that make my game harder. One of the mods decreases my inventory size and It would be really handy if I could use this backpack as an equipable.
Rhyufer 18 Sep, 2017 @ 12:30am
Could you add backpack storage like the rucksack or maybe even a first aid kit storage?
Jon Bon  [author] 7 Sep, 2017 @ 1:35am
@Aikoo_San Sorry mate, it has been too long and I dont remember off hand, and I checked my notes, they are not written down there. If you aware on how to dig around, you should be able to find what we named the items. If you do post back here the spawn commands and I'll add them to the description :)
Awoo_desu 7 Sep, 2017 @ 12:15am
What are the file names so I can just do /spawnitem? (I am a bit lazy :P)
Jon Bon  [author] 31 Aug, 2017 @ 12:17pm
@Pablo Thanks! Ackley worked hard to create this!
@MythrilBagels Sorry mate, the idea of the mod working as an equipable item is something Ackley had explored but became something not possible.
MythrilBagels 30 Aug, 2017 @ 10:49pm
when you get back can you perhaps make it so they can go on your back? like a proper bag? if so, functional and social
PabloElPuas 30 Aug, 2017 @ 5:09pm
I find this mod interesting that adds bags to increase our inventories and would be a good idea for the original game in my opinion of course
Jon Bon  [author] 20 Aug, 2017 @ 1:29pm
@ProfileName "There are currently 6 packs in the game, each pack requires rarer materials as the tier increases. The level of difficulty is still being tweaked! 1-4 are crafted at the wooden workbench, with 5, and 6 crafted at the industrial workbench: "
ProfileName 20 Aug, 2017 @ 10:45am
So wait, where can I craft the stuff currently? And I hope this CAN work with Frackin' Universe. Since there's barely any interactions as far as I know.
Jon Bon  [author] 3 Aug, 2017 @ 10:51am
@PixiePrincess Could you list the items that are required to craft them? It might be a dropped item rather than a crafted item as the ingredient. I cant remember off the top of my head what was used to craft each bag, but if you give me the name of the item I'd remember if it was dropped or crafted likely. At any rate, maybe try a quick google, or starbound wikia for the item, as I believe it runs on stock items that are in game, and some are crafted resources and others are simply dropped. This was intended to make it more difficult to create the higher end bags if I remember correctly.
PixiePrincess501 3 Aug, 2017 @ 8:34am
I know where to craft the bags themselves, but there are two items required for crafting the Dimensional Bag I can't seem to find in any of my crafting stations...
Jon Bon  [author] 22 Jul, 2017 @ 3:11pm
@jocmichelle Sorry mate, it has been too long and I dont remember off hand, and I checked my notes, they are not written down there. number1millipedefan 18 Jul, 2017 @ 4:30pm
What Are the Spawn Commands?

No Time to Explain 17 Jul, 2017 @ 9:22am
How do you get the bags?
Jon Bon  [author] 4 Jul, 2017 @ 2:28pm
@Sofia Are you a new mod user? Can we get confirmation from someone else as well? Or if it was previously working for you but isn't now, let us know as well.
Sofia13 4 Jul, 2017 @ 7:13am
the mod doesn't work
Starblast16 26 Jun, 2017 @ 2:04pm
If this mod was still supported I would have loved to see something like a portable cooler for food. I have a ton of different food from FU and I barely have any room in my inventory now.
Karo 26 Jun, 2017 @ 11:54am
That Mod helps a lot :D Thanks
Magebrawler Aura 11 Jun, 2017 @ 7:12am
Yep, it works.
Jon Bon  [author] 11 Jun, 2017 @ 1:25am
@Frosty
I can't be 100% certain, but based on the changes, I think it should be okay. If you find out otherwise, post back here pls :steamhappy:
juke 11 Jun, 2017 @ 12:52am
does it work on starbound 1.3?
Kyo21943 24 Apr, 2017 @ 7:16am
Yeh, I read you didn't have time to continue the mod, don't worry I understand.
Also that sounds nice, now I like the mod even more :P

Good luck with your IRL shenanigans!
