A must have

I wish the WotC variant of this mod would use the male parts of this mod, those did fit well with the hero units, i.e. no or very little "floating" deco parts and less clipping issues on the legs with the reaper coats.

I know, I can use other mods to remove the offending deco bits, but would like to keep them.

You have to create them yourself with each part that's added. No pre-made characters.
Shorttyboy00 12 Sep, 2017 @ 8:07pm
So quick question. Do the squadmates come premade or do i have to create them myself. I am just asking cuz i cant find it in my import character area at all.

@Kexx Will you be updating this mod for WOTC?
Arkhangel 29 Aug, 2017 @ 2:16am
@lord: it's fixed now with WoTC :D well, the flickering is, mod might need to catch up a little
Lord Bamajab 14 Aug, 2017 @ 11:28pm
Well that sucks I just wont use the eyes Because the armor still looks great without it
Kexx  [author] 14 Aug, 2017 @ 10:36pm
Yes, that flickering is a problem that can't be fixed, sadly.
Lord Bamajab 14 Aug, 2017 @ 9:54pm
This only happens when I have a Mask that covers the eyes on
Lord Bamajab 14 Aug, 2017 @ 9:32pm
I seen to have a problem where the eyes keep going off and on Not sure where it comes from?
Kexx  [author] 19 Jul, 2017 @ 12:49pm
@Evangeline Thanks you! I totally get where you're coming from. I chose to give you the benefit of the doubt, and it paid off. That makes me happy. We're good, my friend.

Onto the issue at hand, I hope commenting the lines out works! Let me know if it does! :)
Evangeline 19 Jul, 2017 @ 9:30am
And then spending time trying to fix it, research, curse at Win10 for being completely retarded in finding things, or navigating up to the parent folder after finding stuff, curse at Steam for not naming the folders after the mod and instead going for 767471263, curse at myself for having OCD and not being able to live with the issue in the first place.

And then realising that the existing civilians had already been generated, so nothing could be done about them now. Didn't think to delete the lines entirely, thanks a lot for that suggestion.

So a lot of built up frustration and extreme saltiness and not a lot of thought went into that comment. Apologies again, I should have expressed my feelings in a more positive and constructive way.
Evangeline 19 Jul, 2017 @ 9:27am
Apologies for that comment, you are totally right of course. At the time in my inflamed state of mind it seemed like an appropriate remark to convey the fact I was seeing red in front of my eyes after trying to fix this issue for so long and failing.

In my defense, it took me a long long time to even realise this mod was the culprit - you don't expect a Tali mod to give you zombie engineers that look like mind controlled by the aliens. Especially since the eyes were added in a later update. If you hadn't documented it so well here, I would have never known. Even so, it took going through every single mod I have installed (a lot) and reading all the notes, comments, open discussions, etc.

Kexx  [author] 18 Jul, 2017 @ 12:29pm
@Evangeline: Correct. Not setting those particular props to "false" will occasionally spawn on civilians. You can go into that same ini file, and put a ";" in front of those lines. This will make the game ignore these props and they wont be added to your game. This fix will work mid-campaign, so you don't have to go through the trouble of restarting a fresh new one. Keep in mind, doing this will remove ALL invisible eyes on your mid-campaign, so if you have soldiers using them, they will be gone.

Having that said...

"Thanks modder for setting this to true and messing up my game."

Please take a moment and re-read this sentence. It's hostile. I've put forth gigabytes worth of free, high-quality content, yet you actively chose those words. You seem knowledgeable enough to even create your own work-arounds and fixes to this issue, still decided on posting it. Please, there's no need for that.
MrShadow 18 Jul, 2017 @ 12:18pm
You can always edit the line out too.
MrShadow 18 Jul, 2017 @ 12:17pm
So play through and they will be regenerated on the next mission. What's the issue?
Evangeline 18 Jul, 2017 @ 5:38am
Edit: it seems you can also edit this mod - edit xComContent.ini

;Glowing Eyes
+BodyPartTemplateConfig=(PartType="FacePropsUpper", DLCName="ME3_Tali_Zorah", TemplateName="GlowingEyes_F", ArchetypeName="ME3_Quarian_GD.ARC_Glowing_Eyes_F", Gender=eGender_Female, bVeteran=false, bCanUseOnCivilian=true, CharacterTemplate="Soldier")

Change bCanUseOnCivilian to false.

Thanks modder for setting this to true and messing up my game. Already midway through LW2, can't start a new game. Once those civilains are generated they won't be regenerated.
Evangeline 18 Jul, 2017 @ 5:30am
Potential fix for civilians - install this mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=767471263

Find where Steam installed it - mine is in \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\767471263 - this last number will be different for you. Quickest way is to search for "XComNoInvisibleHeads" inside the 268500 folder.

Go into the Config folder and edit XComNoInvisibleHeads.ini

;Add your other mods here
MatchNames[12]=Glowing Eyes Female
MatchNames[13]=GlowingEyes_F
MatchNames[14]=Glowing Eyes Male
MatchNames[15]=GlowingEyes_M

Hopefully this fixes it, fingers crossed, haven't tested it yet.
Evangeline 18 Jul, 2017 @ 5:03am
Great, now I have engineers/scientist/resistance personel with zombie eyes. /s
Kexx  [author] 11 Jul, 2017 @ 6:03pm
just add the glowing eye prop, and the correct helmet :)
Alexthemessiah 11 Jul, 2017 @ 3:55am
Great mod! How do you get the glowing eyes work with the helmet and visor in pictures 8 and 9?

Kexx  [author] 18 Feb, 2017 @ 11:21am
@Legion Prime, thanks my friend, I'm aware of the flickering issue. If I understood E3245 correctly, it's something to with how the materials are cooked and set up in the game, and there was nothing I could do to alter it. I tried everything while I was creating them, and they kept on flickering. In the end, my take was it was worth having them flicker, rather than not having them.

As per the clipping? Which race/face clips? I thought I checked them all. You could always just use an invisible head I suppose.
Kexx  [author] 16 Feb, 2017 @ 4:28am
Glad to hear it!!
∑3245 16 Feb, 2017 @ 1:48am
@SomeGuy2009
Glad you got it to work! Enjoy this and Kexx's other works!
AromaticGingerPork 16 Feb, 2017 @ 1:38am
Got it to work! It was exactly what @E3245 said. Must have been a permissions error. I uninstalled then reinstalled Steam, but in a directory different than Program Files (x86). Now it works just fine. I've seen people with Windows 10 having problems with permissions. It's really weird. Really excited though!
Kexx  [author] 15 Feb, 2017 @ 11:39pm
Try deleting the folders that were created, and re-download? I can't think of anything else, i'm sorry. This is so strange!
AromaticGingerPork 15 Feb, 2017 @ 10:51pm
It's the vanilla game launcher. But I can't even get them into the launcher, they won't finish downloading in Steam when I subscribe.
Kexx  [author] 15 Feb, 2017 @ 10:33pm
Mordin and Palaven are brand new, Tali's was updated. Can't think of why you can't download them. To my understanding, as well as confirmed by the LW2 team, this mod is indeed compatible as it's just cosmetic. I don't know of the order of how these mods are loaded is an issue. I've read on other mods that it is. Are you running the vanilla game launcher or that other one?
