It's like music to my ears. But, the "big" one wasn't singing, which sucks.

Loved the Band

Overall, a really good map.
But with the opening with the turrets and me originally having no idea what to do, I died numerous times.
Good map, but a TERRIBLE first impression.

Nicely done and fun!

I like it, the bit with like 11 turrets can be solved without any cubes.

I found a bug, i think.
At the end, where you have to place the 2 boxes so the plates arrive above the water. If you place the sphere on one of the red buttons,(i just could take it with me) take it of en on again, the plates stay put and you can take the 2 boxes with you.
Don't know if it's supposed to go that way...

Since my steam is in dutch...Under the slideshow of photo's of the map is a button "Abonneren" in dutch and I think it's "Subscribe" in english. If you subscribed to the map you go into portal and go to community maps. then search for the maps name and play :)

how do i download the map?
mood3rd 19 Jun, 2012 @ 11:59am
good map
got stuck/could not walk or jump by dead turrets.
picked up turret & solved problem.
then had same problem again.
so lost my progress, by using both portals to move turrets out of the way.
then finished map.
still enjoyed it.
also this varies from the old one,
in the old one, you had higher panels.
so did not need the tractor beem to position the orange goo
that stumped me at first.
I found the singing turrets, in the observation room.
they did not shoot at me & I could not pick them up or in any way kill them. good though.

thankyou

Good puzzle, glitch by the dead turrets, all my cubes dissapeared. Common glitch?

orangehaze68 16 Jun, 2012 @ 5:21am
i liked the turret easter egg kind of thing
Rengor 15 Jun, 2012 @ 8:56pm
Love the intro and the panel use there.
Good first gel puzzle. The frame rate is a bit low in there for some reason, at least near the speed gel button.
Odd to have the trigger by the opening to the tractor beam, but I can see how it could potentially be abused.
I like the idea of being under the rows of seating in a hall, assuming that was the intention there.
I was able to drop down the dead turrets on top of the group there, though probably more work than needed. Yeah after continuing that was waay too much work, but fun nonetheless, though I would've liked to see the flinging too.
A curious ending. You have some narrative at the beginning, maybe finish with some too, to set up the next episode.
Loved the singing for the mother, I think I know what the punch line in the last episode will be now.
Great map!

Can't say I enjoyed this one sadly :( But good luck for your future maps and I'll make sure to check out the others you've made.

I love this one. Always remembers of the Phantom of the opera. ERiKOS want me to get to his lair, eh?
And the second one (which was too short for me :( ) is great!

A little update: I hope the door lachpost said is fixed and I tried to reduce the lags
Lachpost 8 Jun, 2012 @ 9:05am
Bug Report: You can get stuck at the first door (opens after the text). If you are through the door and instantly walk backwards, you are in the entrance room again, but the door won't open again.
SleetSdf93 6 Jun, 2012 @ 6:08pm
Really nice. btw not sure if u could fix this or not but i didnt need 2 use the gel because i place both portals at the anti-grav thing so i got over there without gel. may want to fix that. besides that little bug u did amazing. Its amazing wut people can do with hammer
carol 6 Jun, 2012 @ 1:43pm
Really like it - nice to have quirky and unexpected moments - especially the turret choir ;-)

Love to know how to finish off like this in Hammer - got any hints or tips on how to get started?

I have designed a couple of maps in the Puzzle Maker - the most complicated is Labyrinthine Treasure Hunt (a number of interconnected chambers most of which need to be visited more than once) which uses just about the maximum number of items allowed by the compiler. Love to have your feedback onn it: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=72523373

I fell for that.

Minty! 4 Jun, 2012 @ 8:25am
Cool, Thanks! SDK=?
WMD 4 Jun, 2012 @ 8:16am
@timothy - there is no "hammer edition" There is PeTI - which is the regular map-making tool that we are all using. And then there is Hammer - the real map/scenario/game making tool release by Valve as part of the development SDK. You can download it from the Tools menu in Steam. But be warned, it is a serious technical tool and in no way like PeTI that you have been using.
Minty! 4 Jun, 2012 @ 8:06am
Wow, Thanks for your reply NomoRomo,:)
how do you get the hammer editor? Thanks again!
WMD 4 Jun, 2012 @ 7:38am
Great work! Well done. I also enjoyed the easter egg. :-)
lyn-sinclair 4 Jun, 2012 @ 12:19am
That was great
snarlinger 3 Jun, 2012 @ 11:58pm
@Timothy He used the hammer editor, which can be used to create much more advanced maps than the in-game editor.
Keitsu 3 Jun, 2012 @ 10:33pm
@KFredje Np, Ill be sure to make more youtube videos about you maps :D, I really enjoyed the opera singing turrets. Just wondering how you did that? O.o
Minty! 3 Jun, 2012 @ 7:03pm
How did you get multiple doors?
SparksFly13 3 Jun, 2012 @ 4:15pm
