Is this mod compatible with mods that add additional channels such as "whisper chat added to all chat channels" by mikypoo? I hope so, this game could really use additional channels...

Ok, same issues after removing the mod and beaming back to the ship, probably a false alarm caused by my experimentation then >.>

Huh, I got this for the size to make it easier to read /help output at the moment, and it's kinda broken. If I type regular text I get chat bubbles above my head but no text in the console. If I use /commands nothing seems to happen. Even /admin doesn't turn off admin mode.

Maybe there was in issue since my character was in admin mode when loading it up?

how do i mod the player file? it all looks.. weird xD i tried editing it, but as soon as i tried to see it, my character had vanished from the list until i undid it
Mirau  [author] 9 Aug, 2016 @ 9:45pm
Well if you wanna change your displayed name on a server, it would be /nick newname. So for example, if I need to I'll do a "/nick ^cyan;Mirau^reset;".

Or ya know, just mod your player file to make it permanent. (Or just make a new character with the color codes from the get go).
Fuyuno 9 Aug, 2016 @ 5:56am
it works on NAMES too?? nice =D
wait. how do i edit an already-created character's name? lol
Mirau  [author] 9 Aug, 2016 @ 2:19am
It actually works with any hex color if you want to get technical. :) You can easily do ^FFFFFF; for example. (I prefer ^cyan; mself, so you'll usually catch me on Grayles' Server with a cyan colored name).

@fuyu._
I did some testing in single player, and it works like this:
^red; to make the following text red, then put ^reset; after the last word you want to be colored.
It works with all dye colors, so you can do ^orange; ^blue; ^purple; ^green; even ^black;
countlessCritters 8 Aug, 2016 @ 10:21am
I didn't know you could do that ;-;
Fuyuno 8 Aug, 2016 @ 6:24am
oh o.o i thought you edited it before uploading lol -- can you paste an example here?
Mirau  [author] 7 Aug, 2016 @ 9:51pm
The same way you change any font color in Starbound. With the ^color; modifier. :)
countlessCritters 7 Aug, 2016 @ 3:22pm
How'd you make the words "far out" be in red?
Mirau  [author] 3 Aug, 2016 @ 12:32am
Yup all you gotta do is click on the chat box to make it larger/smaller.
Fuyuno 2 Aug, 2016 @ 9:46am
would love the minimise/close-chat button too xD
CatgirlV3 1 Aug, 2016 @ 4:51pm
You can just click the chat to make it taller... The only thing I want from this is that badass overlay.
Cthonyxa 1 Aug, 2016 @ 3:33am
Thanks :) Not having the ability to manually minimize the chat window is something that annoys me a lot about the base game.
Mirau  [author] 1 Aug, 2016 @ 2:44am
When it's not in use it will fade out like the regular chat - however this version just takes a bit longer - which is something I prefer when playing fullscreen. I will see what I can do!
Cthonyxa 1 Aug, 2016 @ 2:27am
Actually, I just tried it out and it's a bit large to have on all the time. Is there any way you can add the ability to minimize it when it's not in use?
Cthonyxa 1 Aug, 2016 @ 2:23am
I probably do not need this mod since I never use my chat window anyway, but I was sold when I read "Thanks S.A.I.L. - that's some handy info!" :flowey:
