You can unpack the files in the steam mod folder. You can try googling the method to do so. I havnt modded starbound in years not sure how to do it anymore

Hi, I couldn't find out how to replace the soundtrack for Starbound myself and I was really hoping there was a mod like this only with Super Metroid. I couldn't find any on here and NMM doesn't load my workshop mods so I didn't look there. It'd be cool if there was a Super Metroid only music mod. This mod is still awesome anyways. Hope you consider this comment.

This happens with any music replacer/addition mod so not this one in specific (but i want this one so asking here), whenever i start up the game with the mod enabled the game won't start, anyone know a solution? (maybe a non-steam download or something if that makes any difference)

I'll miss Vast Immortal Suns ingame, but I have it extracted and can listen to it at any time.

I mean that while the soundtracks themselves have been changed, the file names have not been changed. Kind of a minor thing, but it might be a good idea to replace the screenshot of the song names up there with an updated list (took me a while to find out the final boss music was Hydro Station from AM2R) for people who want to look the songs up more easily

Not sure what you mean. It's been awhile since i worked on the mod so not sure which songs play where.

So I went to unpack the mods to find the song and it looks like none of the .ogg files had their names changed (Metroid Prime Menu being "Crystal_Battle1_Loop). Just kind of a pet peeve

So far, my best guess as to the song that plays when fighting a Vault guardian seems to be a Green Brinstar remix unless I'm wrong.

I dont think its possible. Certain songs play in multiple places and cant be changed. I tried looking into it before but never could get it to work.

hey just a recomandation, if its possible, do you think you can limit songs to one place and then have a diffrent song elsewhere? like for the song in the earth tentacle explosion evacuate earth thingie theme, you could replace it with the Evacuate & Final Dark Samus Boss Theme - Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and keep the regular song for the apex mission theme

Just, uh, a small comment: the music that plays when you go to fight a big boss fight; for example, confront Brightwing becomes really, REALLY grating after a very short amount of time, since fights in Starbound tend to take rather longer, and especially when, for example, creeping along and sniping Brightwing's mooks. Maybe a different track would be more appropriate?

Oh, you should totally do this for Kingdom Hearts 1&2 or others, it's up to you.

Not sure about the new drosera.ogg. Clearly I know better now, but the Luminoth temple theme was such a perfect fit for the only time I ever encountered it - the end of the Great Sovereign Temple - I thought it was intentional. The new one? Could not be a poorer fit for the Sovereign Temple epilogue than a planet-sized ball of spikes and mud.
