It should be, haven't tested it on a server, but seing as it doesn't add anything to the game besides a respawn screen, it should be only client side.

With a little bit of research you can simply decompile the steam versions, I also do intend on including custom races, I've just been rather busy with Life lately, work, study, stress etc, I'll get around to it soon.
