i dont have that mod but some other mod i have removes it too, might give this a shot

It's nice that he finally re-added the diamonds option, but he's still throwing his horrible attitude around. I decided to take his advice and not use his mod at all. But you still get my upvote for what you did. Cheers!

what makes you think i am taking his work?
seriously, take a look at the core of my mod
it is litterally 1 file that says, put a recipie in the beakeasy shop costing 3 diamonds for 1 dubloon

its exactly what the vanilla game does, its exactly like any other recipie file is, if i were to write a recipie file for this from scratch, letter by letter, it would come out like it is, BECAUSE THATS HOW IT WORKS

this doesnt steal anything, it doesnt mess with his mod at all, i made it simply as a responce to a problem i saw at the time, i also feel i was treated rudely and impatiently and thus, i respond in kind

if you dont like it, dont use my mod, i dont care, i made something i thought people might like, the point is moot now

but that doesnt mean im going to delete this because you dont understand how recipies/shops work

this is what I've noticed you are so impatient that you are willing to take someone else's work without even asking I know you did not Make this mod first and you are not trying to fix it you are justifying the fact that you are taking someone's work and when the author tells you to delete a mod that in response corresponds with his you are violating a code why don't you go and find your own ideas and stop stealing from everyone else if you don't like it then unsubscribe from his Mod I will also report you if you do not

so long as no assets were copied, i see no issue with an add-on like this. Dozens exist for FU for little changes people dislike, etc. Now, if it was his actual stuff with your changes added in...that's another matter entirely.

if i copied anyone, it was the people im SUPPOSED to copy, aka chucklefish
and only to restore what you removed

Again it's still a copy insted of asking me to re add the feature! Witch was in proccess but some of us have lives outsie of gaming :) But anyways you already have show other modders your a copy cat :)

okay, 12k is far too much for dubloons, especially if your going to remove the ability to buy them with diamonds
was that intentional? because i got hundreds of diamonds, but i cant buy a dubloon suddenly because the diamond price is gone

this doesnt use a patch file, nor any of his assets (not that his mod actually has assets) under the hood, this mod litterally adds a copy of the vanilla diamond recipie to the beakshop with a slightly different name
(i also took a peak under geeks mod, his update does the same thing, though, really all he needed to do was simply give his dubloon recipie a different name and it wouldnt be overwriting the vanilla in the first place, when his mod first came out, it was this way, then he changed it, then he patched it, like i did)

That's fine aslong as your not modifiend my files or confusing people that mine doesn't seel for 3 diamonds I have no issues with that. Thanks for the response. And if you guys don't like my prices then don't use my mod. But you can't change anything without my permission. Thanks

The author already re-enabled this feature in his own mod.

Unless this is a simple patch file to change an aspect of the mod, it should not be up in the first place. If you are using his assets from his mod without permission, that will typically not end well for you.

i didnt see that you had updated and re-added the recipie back in, i think this was a good decision

(though i note that im still banned from commenting on your mods >.<)

this mod was partially made in response my to my desire to "fix" your mod by undoing the damage you did, but as i said in my discription, this mod DOESNT require your mod, nor does it really have anything to do with yours, nor is it incompatible

it also doesnt conflict with yours and if used together will simply add ANOTHER dubloon recipie

i will be renaming it, but my mod will however remain here, incase anyone else decides to pull the no diamonds for dubloons card

because its not actually required, and for some reason, there might be another mod, if not now, someday, that also removes the diamond recipie

Sidenote: Rather than the disclaimer about duplication, why not mark The Beakeasy Shop as a required mod?

Yeah, saw this the other day when going for the "all races" crew achievement (yes, I know now that the penguins don't count). Was rather upset at the price and was about to create a similar personal patch, but I'll sub yours instead. Thanks!
