I don't know what you mean.
I'm not entirely sure what you're asking but I've stopped support for this mod now.
That's not very helpful is it? If you explain why it's not working then I might be able to fix it.
from SoopyTwist below your comment
What is the "og race"? The link I posted below is the Draconis race this mod supports. If isn't the Draconis race you're using then that's why it doesn't work. I have no plans to add further races, sorry.
I've checked the content of the Draconis race, the files are the same so I don't know why it's working for you. Are you using the same race? https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=868165595&searchtext=Draconis
Or perhaps an add-on for it?
Nope.
Is that different to the other Cats race? There's support for that one. If not then I'll add this one to the list.
Which one? I have plans to update with support for more races but it is time consuming and Subnautica is taking up all my free time.
Changing colour on the fly would mean fudementally changing the mechanics of the game. Only Chucklefish could do that I'm afraid. Perhaps they'll add it as a feature in the future.
Not in the game (yet), if you download the full mod from the link in the description you can choose whatever colour you want though you do have to quit the game to do so.
Good luck and healthy great years...from now on ! =)
I don't know, it requires some experimentation. Perhaps in the new year I'll see what I can do.
@soopytwist - I see... are this whole picture is your "work space" ? There is enough space on "the bottom" to just pan and move whole few pixels (10?) down to free up space on "the top" so glow would have place if was re-generated where it was cut-off.
Yeas...it would be elevated in the game ...but it would not matter or look off, as materialization on planets use different animation altogether, right?

In this image you can see the canvas size (snipped from Paint DOT NET) : https://imgur.com/LXTPT6P
You can see where the glow abruptly stops at the top.
In this image you can see how far the glow actually extends through darker shades until black:

So to fix this the textures would either have to be moved down or the canvas size made larger but this would screw up the texture in the game without further modification and I don't currently know how to do that.
When adding the glow effect it gets cut off at the top (and the bottom to a certain degree) because there's not enough canvas space to fit it in. I didn't try making the canvas size larger because I was pretty sure the game would not accept a canvas size larger than 96x128 (most likely the beam would then be offset) so the workaround was to make the glow effect less but it didn't look as glowy so I dropped it and stuck with the original. It might be possible to modify the file that sets the start position to grab the texture from though so a larger canvas size might work.
It looks realy bad on black backround. Thanks !
No problem. Best way to learn modding is to check out other peoples mods. Glad you got yours published.
