D'you know if shack's ever gonna actually announce the winner? It seemed like our two were the main competitors, even though yours has a much better interior than mine :steamsad:

There are several depictions from various sources for a runabout size. Dimensions get too wonky between the various depictions. You should know this because 40k is the same way, where depending on the source, an Imperial Battleship ranges from 8km to beyond 12k. I went with the Star Trek Online portrayal, and TNG for design and size.
Remx 10 Aug, 2016 @ 12:26pm
Sorry... you have ~45m Length! its not Danube-Class. Change name :P

Danube-Class
Length: 23.1 meters
Width: 13.7 meters
Height: 5.4 meters

Blows my mind... I know one can do hell of a stuff with only using vanilla Blocks but this Ship and the grade of Detail is incredible.
-=TheDecisiveRaindrop=-  [author] 10 Aug, 2016 @ 1:07am
I decided to try something dangerous, stupid, dangerously stupid and stupidly dangerous. Something that many consider impossible to do in vanilla. I added gravity to the runabout. You can now walk inside her hull without your jetpack anywhere at any time!
-=TheDecisiveRaindrop=-  [author] 10 Aug, 2016 @ 12:25am
Actually, she has an oxygen tank stored in one pf the side rooms filled with oxygen bottles, and hydrogen bottles in the opposite room :3

But yeah, not much I could do about making her airtight.

I also worked purely off pictures I found online, and I never build a model of it :D

I am currently working on a ship that's close to 1:1 scale as well, if you need help I would love to come by and see what I can do!
Th3oriesMan 9 Aug, 2016 @ 11:45pm
PS: I'm currently working on a 1:1 scale version of the USS Typhon from the TNG game Invasion. She's a Federation Mobile Command Carrier used after the Dominion War. I think this Danube will complement her main hanger bay nicely. I just need to build some Valkyrie Fighters and she'll have all the needed support craft :)
Th3oriesMan 9 Aug, 2016 @ 11:44pm
Very nice job sir and/or madam :)

Points Breakdown:

Creativity: 10/10 (Attention to detail does not even begin to do this Danube justice...)

Functionality -- Space: 7/10 (Vanilla has no small ship glass so you improvised beautifully with holographic blocks; she won't hold o2 but that's what you have personal tanks for right? Just don't take off that helmet on accident :) )

Functionality -- Atmo: 10/10 (She soars over the landscape and looks good whilst doing it)

Lore-friendly-ness: 10/10 (Somebody must have made Danube models for the DS9 production crew at some point in the past ;) )

Extra Points: 5/0 (You created this in vanilla, using a small ship format and you managed to add beds. I tip my hat to you.)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Total: 42/40, A+ effort.
Trapper Wolf 9 Aug, 2016 @ 7:48pm
You rock, keep up the good work:steamhappy:
-=TheDecisiveRaindrop=-  [author] 9 Aug, 2016 @ 6:32pm
I've made a few quick tweaks on the ship, and the problems have been resolved. Unfortunately, my modem has pretty much died, and I am getting it fixed tomorrow. But once that is all taken care of, I will update the workshop so that you guys won't have any problems with the thrusters anymore.
-=TheDecisiveRaindrop=-  [author] 9 Aug, 2016 @ 4:25pm
After hearing about some of the problems people are having, I am going to try to solve them as soon as possible! Specifically about the thruster damages as well as some damaged bits.

Unfortunately with the LCD problem, there is no way for me to fix that because it is an issue with the game, and has been since LCDs were first added.

Yeah, larger vanilla small ships are a rare breed, and even fewer ever make it onto the front page.

ScotsDragon, I saw your video and loved it! I also left some comments! Please do say hi to Aaron and Sage for me!
Shamux 9 Aug, 2016 @ 4:05pm
Wow man. I've never seen a large vanilla small ship in SE.
ScotsDragon 9 Aug, 2016 @ 1:29pm
I did a video on your ship hope you like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaB0iQdaVUg
Aquila 9 Aug, 2016 @ 1:02pm
ok subed... check, now time to crash this thing in to something.

btw this looks awesoe 10/1
willfarnham22 9 Aug, 2016 @ 10:41am
ash dude you have got to do the Delta flyer with this quality your runabout is fantastic.
CommanderBlack19 9 Aug, 2016 @ 5:12am
how do you do the steam challenge?
-=TheDecisiveRaindrop=-  [author] 7 Aug, 2016 @ 9:11pm
I would not count on that. She wouldn't fit in all that many hangers, so I am building a large ship to house her.
themechaman 7 Aug, 2016 @ 8:32pm
Does she fit in shacks defyant
Userguy1 7 Aug, 2016 @ 5:39am
Oh sweet jesus. This blows my version out of the water. Hats off to you.
Sqweloookle 6 Aug, 2016 @ 11:55pm
Id love a vanilla Vesta class please do!
Though i have an Akira that might help you ill paste the link to it after work tonight.

Also please so upload your blueprints! Though some mods like the small ship pack is kinda okay as everyone has it. I just wish Keen would get it in their thick heads that they should have made everything for both small and large.

Keep up the great work! Though I dont really like the remote control so i deleted the chairs and put in cockpits but the ship is stunning! Thank you so make!!!
-=TheDecisiveRaindrop=-  [author] 6 Aug, 2016 @ 7:32pm
As it turns out, the Akira class is too small to house a runabout in SE standards. What I decided to do is go with a Vesta class which will be very difficult to get the angles right, but I will make the effort. It is big enough to house runabouts, and shouldn't be too difficult to size properly.
-=TheDecisiveRaindrop=-  [author] 6 Aug, 2016 @ 5:57pm
I decided that I want to make a large ship to fit her in. I am thinking of maybe making an Akira class, however with my limited knowledge of Star Trek, I don't know if the Akira has the capacity to carry a runabout, so I am also open to other suggestions for which ship I should try to make. Other ships I am also interested in making are the Luna class, the Vesta class, and the Soverign Class ships. If you have a suggestion, feel free to tell me!
Blue Moon 6 Aug, 2016 @ 11:31am
Shut up and take my money!
-=TheDecisiveRaindrop=-  [author] 5 Aug, 2016 @ 8:45pm
I despise using mods with a passion. I don't spend all my time in SE playing Creative, and I love the thrill of multiplayer servers, many of which use quite a few mods so I am no stranger to what they can do to builds. I love the challenge of making vanilla builds. Since this build is getting a bit of attention, I will upload some more of my vanilla builds. Builds that have been sitting in my blueprints for months or even years.
Sqweloookle 5 Aug, 2016 @ 7:42pm
That looks way too good to be vanilla!
Sully_216 5 Aug, 2016 @ 1:03pm
Build a ship to go with it :D

cjmx21 5 Aug, 2016 @ 10:10am
little bitty ship managed to lag me down so hard that i was getting abou 1/4 FPS wow and my nearby MAC station started shooting it as soon as i started moving and it ended up crashing my game lol. very nice design though.
CaptainShack 5 Aug, 2016 @ 9:38am
Well done on this build!
pro 5 Aug, 2016 @ 9:17am
He has 2,600 hours on SE, if the build was any less than it is I'd be disappointed...
seb_wilkins 5 Aug, 2016 @ 7:42am
beautifully designed
DuckyProductions 4 Aug, 2016 @ 3:34pm
