You get a fucking upvote simply because this actually pissed me off for years. They make a typo then make a f**king DLC named after that amazing typo.

this mod sucks, it wont let me save withought having it crash everytime and leave buildings it crashes too! why is that! maybe if someone tells me how to fix it i would actually like it better! :steamfacepalm:

Wow, great pick up! ^.^

Now, can i make a mod that replaces EVERYONE's incorrect spelling of "a lot"?
Mr. Very Cool Guy 10 Jul, 2015 @ 5:19pm
They probably noticed this and were like FUCK IT!!! aand decided to taunt us by naming a DLC after it.
KamikaziFly 27 May, 2015 @ 2:51pm
This mod changed my life. Without it, I was lost. But now Skyrim is actually playbale again. If only more mods took this type of dedication to something so meaningful. A++ for a job well done. I am surprised you won't charge money for this mod!

They dont lie when they say there's a mod for every little thing

@brandon Hit the Subscribe button for this mod. (If you're talking about the DLC, you buy it. From the store... Top left corner of your screen if you're reading this right now.)

Maybe you have it backwards, maybe Arena and Daggerfall were wrong :3

wher do you get hearthfire
Xiianil 22 Feb, 2013 @ 1:37am
I just remembered I had this mod. Good thing though; I'd have a fucking fit if I saw that typo. Only Bethesda would name DLC after something they misspelled originally and not fix the typo. Lazy koxtanez.
fistofdoom 5 Feb, 2013 @ 4:32am
i was wondering the same thing, glad u caught this and fixed it

I feel like if it was in three seperate games, it wasn't a typo. (insert are you fucking kidding me face here) nah, I'm just messin with yah. but still.
Camus Moo 26 Jan, 2013 @ 1:57pm
why do you think they named the DLC Hearthfire? Beacuse of the month Hearthfire. Such a simple mod, but I literaly have spent around 2 hours raging after I saw the typo in Oblivion. (failed to see it in Morrowind though... I wonder why)

lol another useless random mod, nice work for spotting it out! (im not being sarcastic)

Aaaaand its out. Brace yourself for the rage!

there wont be a conflict. DLC's are ESM's.

lol no I don't mean you. I agree with what you're saying and I really expect this to become a problem with people when the dlc is released and people start searching for hearthfire mods (and I also hope there isn't going to be a conflict with the dlc since this file is hearthfire.esp).

im not raging. Its a useful mod for people who dont like these little annoyances (like me)

ever since the dlc was announced I've been eagerly waiting for the rage comments to start flowing.

Some people could search the DLC Heathfire, and be dissapointed when they see what this does. Its still useful, but it would be funny to see the faces of people who open this in the hopes of finding Hearthfire.

your point is taken, but the time between arena and morrowind (where the change first appears) was actually less than thirty years, and most other sources which reference the month in the games continue to call it "Hearthfire" (as recently as an npc journal entry in dawnguard).
Schadrach 5 Aug, 2012 @ 8:34am
It could also be a word changing over time (after all, the TES series covers a pretty wide span of history), after all we've mangled the names of our days, we don't talk about Moon Day or Thor's Day these days, do we?
Azrael 28 Jul, 2012 @ 4:30am
@ Spesh: abso-fucking-lutely
Funny thing they never changed it back...OR someone will get damn angry if they admit his old mistake XD
Things to reflect about.
Xiianil 26 Jul, 2012 @ 6:16am
I see you also find it funny they trademarked a word they've been misspelling for a decade. Thumbs up!
Spesh 20 Jul, 2012 @ 6:12pm
heathfire makes so much more sense too. frostfall? last seed? its obviously the winter months, heathfire would make sense because you light your hearth for warmth in winter right? u dont set your heart on fire lol
(^-.-)>  [author] 20 Jul, 2012 @ 1:59pm
the confusion actually stems from the fact that they mispelled it "heartfire" in the paper callender packaged with arena, when in the game it was properly spelled "hearthfire." it was again misspelled in morrowind (where they also left out an entire month by accident). the firmament's description for "the lady" sign and the 9th book in "2920, the last year of the first era" both still reference the month as "hearth fire" to this day. while I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, I was really just being polite in my description. to me it really seems that this is a lingering mistake.

bethesda trademarked "hearthfire" a few months ago.
ambigrammatic 20 Jul, 2012 @ 1:14pm
While there is no solid lore explanation, it's basically monkey truth that this month changed spellings. And I really don't think Bethesda would have made a mistake twice in a row...
Spesh 1 Jun, 2012 @ 8:37pm
great and simple mod, ive always thought Heartfire sounded too violent for a month lol
The_Vility 🥶🥶🥶 26 May, 2012 @ 1:55pm
Fucking A! Thanks, man!
