I haven't done anything.
If another author desires to do so, they have my permission to create said patch. I do not currently have interest in Starbound.
- Fixed incompatibilities with LoPhatKao's Yellow Submarine
- Fixed controller item previews
- Added Glitch style boat thanks to Dr.Shadox
- Added uniquely colored boat warp animations thanks to Dr.Shadox
I'm also adding LoPhatKao and Dr.Shadox on Steam to add them as mod contributors.
@The Erubian Warlord, @Razgriz Ace18:
The boats are indeed lava-proof. I tested it when I worked on the mod update.
Yes, I am aware of this issue, Thundercraft. It will be fixed when I am done with the next update for the mod - which may be a while given my RimWorld addiction.
Each boat uses a copy of LoPhatKao's boat fix mod's boat.lua. I could have them all reference a single boat.lua but does it matter?
Also, the /old/ sprites for the lionboat are there for reference and unused - however, there is no reason to remove them either so they are kind-of a nice easter egg.
This mod has a rather serious bug which causes a CTD if the player also has 'The Yellow Submarine' mod installed:
" [Error] Application: exception thrown, shutting down: (VehicleDatabaseException) Error loading vehicle '/vehicles/yellowsub/yellowsub.vehicle'
Caused by: (VehicleDatabaseException) Repeat vehicle name 'yellowsub' "
Looking inside your Contents.pak, there is, indeed , a yellowsub.vehicle (and a yellowsub.animation ) file in your vehicles folder. So, of course the game's going to throw a fit if the player already has The Yellow Submarine.
Truth be told, I have not tested whether or not the new ships can survive on lava. The picture shown is from the old "tech" version of the mod where ships were an equippable tech like dash, jump, and ball techs are now. If you would like, you could test that for me! :)
I am running the mod with no issues on my end so I'm going to need more information.
I'm going to need starbound.log from both of you. Starbound.log can be found in your starbound installation at /starbound/storage/. If file extensions are enabled, you'll see it right away. Open it in a text document editor like Notepad++ and copy all of it. Then go to http://pastebin.com and paste it there. Add a title, click "Create New Paste" and, when that's done, share the link for your completed pastebin here.
