Hello. I am sorry I couldn't help with the requests. I am barely keeping the mod up to date for those who want to keep using it. There is a current more ambitious Greece mod project out there.

Greece should be a monarchy during the 1936 start, is there some way to make George II the head of state?
Nick 20 Jul, 2017 @ 1:24am
Can you make Constantinople became the greek Capital when Greece take it???

Oh, the connection wasn't really the point, it was just the whole territory thing. Y'know, it's like our Trianon. Sure, WW2 "supposedly" settled it all, but damned I'll be if I ever accept it.
pompelmo  [author] 30 Jun, 2017 @ 6:07am
@Technophile Max, Turkey and Greece settled their issue in 1923 and there was a population exchange. Opening that box again, mobilizing your population through it and venture your country into a new war would require some degree of fanaticism I think. All the Second World War was about rejecting the status quo and the revisionist demands by the Axis. It only makes sense for Greece to accept the status quo and not make further claims if they chose to side with the democratic world.

What I would consider to do instead, is to remove the straits to the Aeagean Islands and Dodecanese. It is not really possible to invade those islands without a navy, just by marching your ground troops. So controling the coast should not matter.

@pompelmo
No, he has a bad reputation in China, machine translation, I will not cooperate with him. I will respect your mod.I will try my best to do it:D
Technophile Max 30 Jun, 2017 @ 5:02am
You seem like a reasonable enough person, so may I ask why the Megali idea is in under fanaticism? I moved it to just under militarism, because the Hungarian flavour mod gives Hungary the option to invite Greece to its faction, and take over Turkey, giving claims on every coastal state that connects Thrake with the Dodecanese, but can't core it, because I play with historical focuses on, and Greece chooses liberalism.
pompelmo  [author] 30 Jun, 2017 @ 4:58am
Hi @fight fow, of course, be my guest. @RegularRabbit is translating the Star and Crescent mod, so you may consider cooperating. Half of this mod is Star and Crescent.
pompelmo  [author] 30 Jun, 2017 @ 4:58am
@Technophile Max, that is the best solution when you are somewhat familiar with the files ;)

Hello pompelmo, I really like your mod and it's awesome! I am an English-Chinese translator, and I have translated nearly 40 mods to Chinese version. So far, there are nearly ten thousand people in China use my localization mod, and If you don't mind, I would like to translate your mod into Chinese version so more Chinese players can enjoy your mod.I will never use it for personal profit, the mod will be free to download without any ads.
Hope to get your permission:steamhappy:
Technophile Max 30 Jun, 2017 @ 4:11am
Well, thank you, but if it's outdated, then I'm just going to stay with my current setup. I copied your mod into my personal use mod that I don't plan on uploading, and just shifted the state numbers around. Not that difficult when there's only 4 new states. Especially since the Hungarian Flavour mod I'm using pretty much makes Kosovo useless, so really only 3 states.
pompelmo  [author] 30 Jun, 2017 @ 3:56am
it is here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=785359695 . Actually more popular than the original mod. It probably has an older focus tree though. I made some changes to the diplomacy branch of it.
Technophile Max 30 Jun, 2017 @ 3:49am
Excuse me, but would it be possible to make a version of the mod that doesn't add new states, so people could use that version with other mods that add states? Btw, I absolutely love this mod. Been playing it since I discovered Road to '56, but decided to check out the actually up-to-date version.
pompelmo  [author] 30 Jun, 2017 @ 3:49am
updated to 1.4.1
pompelmo  [author] 25 Jun, 2017 @ 2:08pm
I think it is possible, I just don't know how to do it. I may look for instructions and implement them in the next update but I don't promise. I am barely keeping this mod up to date. I haven't played the game for months.
pompelmo  [author] 16 Jun, 2017 @ 9:05am
Updated to 1.4.0 Oak.
Lavrentiy Beria 27 May, 2017 @ 1:18pm
@Ioannis Metaxas look carefully of what I said below mate, would help you understand.
黄絹幼婦 22 May, 2017 @ 11:41am
The Incident at Petrich however happened in 1926, this game starts in 1936.
Lavrentiy Beria 16 May, 2017 @ 1:01am
The only negative about it is that Bulgaria is three provinces although south Sofia should have been split into a seperate region under Petrich(it's a major industrial center) and thus you should take into consideration making an extra province in Bulgaria :(
pompelmo  [author] 4 May, 2017 @ 1:34pm
Update: Greece can now claim and have core on Bulgarian lands.

@Frank, thank you for your suggestions. I may consider implementing it if I regain my enthusiasm for this game.
Lavrentiy Beria 2 May, 2017 @ 11:10am
Have you thought making a focus against Bulgaria for fascists and non-aligned only regarding the Incident at Petrich or also known as the War of the Stray Dog where Greece invaded the bulgarian city of Petrich near Serres after an incident regarding a Greek soldier got shot(and killed) who was going after his dog.

Greece at the time was a forced to be reckoned with(it was 1920's, Greece somehow had acquired a good amount of armored cars and was esentially a military dictatorship). My point is the war starts over the intial Greek demands regarding reperations from Bulgaria(over 2 million French franks).

For more information check here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incident_at_Petrich
Thank you for your time and hope you will consider it :p
Mr.Ma\/erick 24 Apr, 2017 @ 7:30am
You are absolutely right and I apologize . I was indeed looking at the Beyond Mosul tree, thinking it was part of this mod.
pompelmo  [author] 23 Apr, 2017 @ 1:38pm
I think you may be running another mode which overwrites Turkey's focus tree. If you are running "Road to '56" please note that it is using the ":Beyond Mosul" tree for Turkey. In this mod, Turkey and Greece get the same amount of factories through focus. And Turkey only gets 4 oil production (not 200) at the very end of the tree. I tried to mass as less as possible with the vanilla setting.

Please try with disabling other mods, running this one only. In the upcoming version, there will also be an additional focus for Greece granting core on Bulgarian lands.
Mr.Ma\/erick 23 Apr, 2017 @ 8:43am
One might say the vanilla generic tree for Greece is better for going against Turkey. This new Turkey tree effectively makes it a super power... They get... like 5x more factories than Greece through the focus tree and like 200 oil production. I don't know what the authors were thinking when they even put 'Aegean Duel' in the title. What exactly is the duel? Greece fortifying itself and trying to hold back the Turks? So much more depth and so many options in the Turkey focus tree. The countless 'gain x% Research towards y' from the Greece tree don't really matter when you research so much stuff but don't have the industrial capacity to use and produce said technologies.

Closing, I'd like to point out I'm not against such a strong tree for Turkey, I'm all for it and it's very fun to play, as long as Greece gets the same treatment in a combined mod about these two countries.

Cheers
MarsEco 9 Mar, 2017 @ 11:52pm
@pompelmo just a suggestion, I would add more factories or balance to your trees, and maybe somethings that gave them more identity. "Better Poland" is a good example of not going OP with a minor country, but still make playing them not a pain.
MarsEco 9 Mar, 2017 @ 11:49pm
@ pompelmo, I do believe that is incorrect, you can choose from what I saw in a modding video by Paradox. And even if that didn't work, you both could just add the other's state, and then I would assume there wouldn't be a problem anymore. But i doubt that is necessary, as long as you two pick different color/numbers for your new states.
Glosur 9 Mar, 2017 @ 5:11pm
I will gladly try and find pictures for you!
pompelmo  [author] 9 Mar, 2017 @ 4:52pm
@Glosur, thank you for the suggestions. I will look at restructring Bulgaria and adding the related focus for the next update. I will also implement the name swap. As for the real portraits, I am neither familiar with Greece history, nor can read Greek. If you can provide the artwork, I will gladly add them.

@MarsEco, it is not an error to fix. It means these two mods don't work together. A random ID cannot be assigned to a newly create state. They have to follow order. Because of that when a mod adds a new state, it has to start with 743. That 743 is Kosovo in this mod. Because the Belgian mod assigns that ID to to its own new created state, in your setting you recieve an impassable blank state in Yugoslavia, which is in fact Kosovo. There is no solution for that aside from merging the mods. You may want to try Mac Greece & Yugoslavia, which is a version of this mod without the additional states.
MarsEco 9 Mar, 2017 @ 3:58pm
WELL, first and most important is The Belgium Lion Roars Again and this mod creates 2 state errors. in TBLRA they add a 3rd state in their core lands, which disappears with this mod, as does a land within YugoslaviaI really want a fix for this plz.
MarsEco 9 Mar, 2017 @ 3:47pm
I tried this mod with other mods that aren't Persia Rising. That do change other proviences, which they work together but ever time i add yours i have issues. I test again and make a list
Glosur 9 Mar, 2017 @ 3:36pm
Sorry for so many posts, but could you add real portraits to the fascist and democratic leaders of greece? If so, you could do the same to generals for both countries.
Glosur 9 Mar, 2017 @ 2:39pm
Or possible just extend Burgas to include the southern half of Sofia.
Glosur 9 Mar, 2017 @ 2:35pm
Perhaps another new state, southern Bulgaria as the Megali Idea also encompassed that as well, shown here: http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff189/wtinder2/Megali%20AAR/ParisPeace-Venizelos-Map.png . Could it be possible to change Istanbul to Constantinople and add an option to move the capital to there? With the new update you are able to change city & state names whenever a certain country conquers it.
pompelmo  [author] 9 Mar, 2017 @ 2:42am
Did you try shuting Persia Rising and activating this mod instead?
MarsEco 9 Mar, 2017 @ 12:15am
@pompelmo the other mods i play together at the same time, also have map changes but they dont conflict like yours does.
pompelmo  [author] 7 Mar, 2017 @ 6:41pm
It is either Persia Rising or this one. Persia Rising makes map changes too so they don't work together.
MarsEco 7 Mar, 2017 @ 3:30pm
@pompelmo what things did you change as far as states, i get impassable states a lot, with other mods, but most of the other mods i use all work well together. Examples of othe Mod: The Dutch Lion, the Belgium Lion, Rising Persia, etc. things that aren't even around there. I'm curious to see if it is something on your end that could make it fit with other mods better.
Kauchaus69 28 Feb, 2017 @ 3:15pm
oh and Eypt around until the Romans tookover
Kauchaus69 28 Feb, 2017 @ 3:14pm
maybe you could add claims on bulgaria, albania, and southern yugoslavia because i know ancient Greece had surronding lands like most southern Italy, the tip of Libya, southern Bulgaria and western Turkey, maybe Albania?
pompelmo  [author] 13 Feb, 2017 @ 3:41pm
@zombiemann, it is probably a conflict with another mod you are using. If not, there may be a map folder in your documents/poaradox interactive/hearts of iron iv/ folder. Delete it.
Zombieman2344 13 Feb, 2017 @ 2:55pm
I have a glitch with mods that add states (such as this one). The added states are umpassable territory and no one owns the land. Pls help
Roadsidebandito 9 Feb, 2017 @ 3:28pm
amazing
battlegalactika 9 Feb, 2017 @ 1:19pm
Τhere was a civil war between the communists and democrats after ww2 that lasted till 1949.Maybe you coyld expand on that
pompelmo  [author] 8 Feb, 2017 @ 2:09pm
Thanks. Yes, increased resources is not compatible with this mod.
InvictusTotalis 8 Feb, 2017 @ 12:32pm
so apparently, when combined with increased resources, the game crashes if you justify on bulgaria as any country. Also there is a random part of yugoslavia missing.
InvictusTotalis 8 Feb, 2017 @ 12:09pm
hey, pompelmo, your mod is indeed amazing, however, (and I dont know if its a conflict with another mod, BTW. I dont have star and crescent installed or any other national focus changing mod for that matter.) playing as any other nation, I cannot declare war on bulgaria. Instantly crashes my game and any multiplayer my friends and I are running. Please look into this as I would very much enjoy playing with your mod in the future.
pompelmo  [author] 12 Jan, 2017 @ 4:59am
Your feedback will be appreciated :) I am looking forward to hearing proposals for Greece.
MarsEco 12 Jan, 2017 @ 2:50am
@pompelmo Thank you, this mod i was using for AI purposes but ill start a new campaign soon with this, as my own country. Probably going greece.
