You can find all the mods you subscribed to on the "second line" of the ship selection page. Just press up or down instead of chosing a regular ship. Note that you and the AI can't play with both "modding ships" and "regular ships" simultaneously.
So, you do this way :
- You subscribe to a mod
- You launch the game
- You select "singleplayer"
- You select "arcade", or whatever you want
- You select a race
- Now, you have to select a ship. Press up or down with your keyboard or your controller dpad. You should see the downloaded ships. You have two lines of ships : one for "regular ships", the other for "custom ships".
