Theory: If Dedede adopts the Order ideology, he embraces the economic theories of Marx. After all, who wouldn't trust some spooky jester guy to come up with great political systems?

A fun mod overall, and I'm glad to see some Kirby on the workshop! My friends and I have been using him for our AI-only games and he's done pretty well for himself! Though I do have a couple of suggestions for the mod. Firstly, the peace sign Dedede has on the back of his robe would make for a more fitting icon for the Civ than the star would, though I understand that the latter is more emcompassing of Dream Land as a whole. His unique food resources would also be great with their own icons, and I could help make them if you'd like! Though the mod is still great as it is, so this is just a suggestion.

Though I do have one major concern about Dedede as an AI opponant. AI Dedede doesn't like to improve his tiles. We've had entire games where Dedede didn't improve a single tile. I checked the files and I saw you set the correct Unit AI for the Waddle Dee and he has a normal flavor for Tile Improvement so I don't know what the issue is, but I think it's worth looking into.

For those who want their waddle dees to be able to attack barbarians, go into the XML for the mod, open the xml for the waddle dee, and change the value of CombatLimit from 0 to 100.

@Vivalahomestar Just an FYI there's a big incompatibility issue with Preshistoric civilizations. When you get a laborer, the game crashes right away.

Is the fact waddle dee's can't attack barbarians a glitch or an actual feature? It does help balance Dedede, but it's a tad bit annoying. Also have you ever thought of making his symbol that little peace sign thing he has plastered on nearly everything that belongs to him instead of a generic star? I don't mean to complain I'm just trying to make suggestions. Amazing civ keep up the good work.

FINALLY, A KIRBY CIV!

Now please, Can you make a civ for Meta Knight? Would be interesting if his Halbred summons units at the end of each turn, and Meta Knight himself being a strong unit that becomes stronger in each era (basically the death machine of pre-endgame, on endgame he should be slightly weaker than the death machine), He shouldn't be able to make any units apart from Blade Knights, respawning himself (only 1 Meta Knight can be active at a time), his awesome Metaknights, and his Halbred.

Somehow, the Waddle Dee units can't fight because they are nowhere near an adjacent target, and I got one next to a Barbarian unit. Can you fix that?

I've got the mod in its folder in MODS, but Civ V still won't recognize it. Other Modded Civs have the filename end in .modinfo, but this one ends in .civ5mod. Was there an error in the upload, or is there a way to change the filename to .modinfo?

@Canzar that's a pretty common issue with Civ 5 mods. Blame steam. Check your mods folder (documents/my games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/MODS) and see if there's a .modinfo file for this mod floating around without a folder. If that's the case, put it in its respective folder (or make one for it) and Civ should fix things for you.

I'm very new to Civ 5 mods. Is there some reason that I'm unable to find him in my list of civilizations? This doesn't appear when I open the mod menu in game.

@Memo1010 I wanted Waddle Dees to replace both, but that didn't really work out. They had to replace workers in order to make the UA work. However, Waddle Dees are very similar to Spearmen in strength and they have the same upgrade path, so you can use them as if they were spearmen.
