Love this ship mod, but I have one gripe. A couple of the bottom thrusters and the thruster flames are not centered with each other. It just looks odd and I don't know if it's just mine affected. If the author isn't working on this anymore, does anyone have a solution for this?

This still works after all these updates and generally it look fitting and better, less cramped, for the human. However it kinda making hard to look outside, though there is a windowed deck that resembles a classroom.

Logically the ship would have camera's all around the ship leading to the helm.

So if the ship was in 3d, would the part that sticks up on the front be blocking the view from the bridge?

For some reason it doesn't change the appearance of the fuel hatch or the ship locker for me. But it did change the appearance of the storage locker. Would also like an appearance change to the A.V.I.A.N. S.A.I.L. chip too.

EDIT: Found the main issue. It turns out if you have this mod combined with the suspicious spa mod, it will work perfectly, however, DO NOT UNINSTALL THIS MOD with suspicious spa still installed, or your game will not launch. Past that this mod is ok and works fine

Update: Hey all. For some reason I can't update the descriptions of any of my mods so I'm commenting here. Since I'm in my last year of studying how to be a music teacher, I have no time whatsoever to keep updating any of my mods. I thank all of you for your love and support, and I hope that these mods don't break as updates come out. Consider this mod abandoned. If you are not Frakin Universe, you are encouraged to use the materials from these mods in your modpacks with attribution! I love seeing how other people keep mods going, and I love you all.

In FU there is an option on S.A.I.L to either BYOS (Build Your Own Ship) or use the default. If you choose default, this mod (Protecorate Ship) will replace the default.

The symetry for some rooms of the ship are not correctly measured. For example, the small middle room on the middle floor is not alligned with the window, neither is the space for the ship hatches (On tier 8 ship).

Can you please try and resolve the symetry issue.

So I just logged on after a few months of not playing SB and my ship is fucked up <:D All of my things are in the spaces i left them, but the layout is glitchy af and the ship looks like a nightmare. Could this be due to an update, and can it be fixed?

I'd love to see a T9 and T10 version, but right now I'm happy flying around in my Exploration Cruiser. Customised the back bottom room as a 2-level engineering deck with a fusion reactor core (the atomic furnace) complete with containment, and a 2-level flight deck with terminals and readouts for crew to give me nominal status updates. Not sure what I'd do with extra space as I also have a Captain's office. Maybe an aquarium tank for growing coral creep and practising fishing...

Hey, I just finished work on a refactoring of this mod, which converts it from a replacer to a standalone ship(with races managed through patches to universe_server.config). This allows it to be installed without affecting the ships of existing players, in case it needs to be installed for reasons of multiplayer compatability. Also happens to reduce file size by trimming duplicated assets. Plus a few minor tweaks here and there. Any interest?

@Confetti there are some turrets, just not as many. It's a ship for exploration and diplomacy, not combat.

@Sligneris yea I was hoping to have time to fix it, and now that I have time to fix it I realzied that I'm just too lazy. I'll might be able to fix the fuel hatch and the teleporter because they're easy but it might be a while before I can get those items fixed. It just feels like a lot of busy work for things that don't honestly seem that important in the long run. The T0 objects are only seen for a short time, and the item icons don't show up in builds. If you strongly request it, I could still do it, but it also takes time to fully update all of the other variants of the mod. I hope you enjoy the new update regardless!

Some issues with this mod - T0 objects, such as broken teleporter and broken fuel hatch still use old human sprites. Additionally, all tiny object icons still use the same old human colors.
