I love your maps but I cannot record because it crashes my game
protoborg 28 Dec, 2013 @ 6:19am
I certainly hope you finish this mod at some point in the near future. I understand how you might get tired of working on this after a while.
Rupurudu! 30 Sep, 2013 @ 8:57am
// Audiotrash, you are doing good, but I don't think you can complete this mod. The Rocket Turret used on later levels is highly broken on Portal 2's engine and an valve employee needs to fix it or publish the source code of engine. Without it you can't implement Rocket Turret.

Still working on?
E1craZ4life 9 Mar, 2013 @ 12:59pm
Not sure if working on project, or project abandoned.

I wonder, are you planning to go till the behind-the-scenes aperture and eventually the GLaDOS' fight? i am really curious to see how those would look like! (about the boss fight, do you think you could make her - with the new-version body - keep looking at the player during the fight? that'd be awesome)
Sunroses 25 Oct, 2012 @ 5:03pm
i liked your old profile pic better... =(
Pauolo 9 Sep, 2012 @ 9:02am
Still, good news to hear again about you. =D

thx 4 heads up audiotrash :)
Audiotrash  [author] 5 Sep, 2012 @ 1:10pm
Unfortunatly this project is on hold. My computer broke and i will have to wait a bit to get a new one :/
SnowyToo 24 Jul, 2012 @ 8:26am
Hmm, are you still working on the maps/boss? I realy want to try the mod out, iff the new chambers are made ofc...
Labyrinth001 21 Jul, 2012 @ 12:57am
beautiful in many ways i see no need to do the glados boss fight unless you have a major twist in mind. i say this not because i dislike the battle but because anyone who played the first enough can beat her in under a min... <--exageration alert (keep up the good work)
뭐래니.June 22 Jun, 2012 @ 5:36am
Wonderful reconstruction. I hoped there would be more variations, though. But it was really fun. By the way, why does the map08 end by itself?
LKA 21 Jun, 2012 @ 3:53am
THE NEW PORTAL!
Herbabotomusfilms 16 Jun, 2012 @ 10:57pm
I WANT BOSS NOWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Raccio14 13 Jun, 2012 @ 7:05pm
Great interpretation, but as others have stated, the energy pellet is missing it's texture
SnowyToo 13 Jun, 2012 @ 6:46am
@pauolo54 Oh, tat's great :D but i never understoud how to texture all the items (like the "lazer"-ball-dispencer or the "lazer-ball" itselfs and that stuff. Can someone set a link to a vid how to do that? That would be great! Anyway, Awesome maps!
Almiico 12 Jun, 2012 @ 1:04pm
Valve should hire you lol
Pauolo 12 Jun, 2012 @ 11:39am
Actually he's doing the boss battle and all the escape maps. The 9 maps displayed here are just a first draft, or an early demo. Here's the mod's home page on modDB: http://www.moddb.com/mods/deja-vu
SnowyToo 12 Jun, 2012 @ 9:59am
It's to bad that you can't make the boss batle, this maps are great! but can't you make like all the "puzzels" in Apperture Industries from portal. (iff you can make the boss battle... it would be great!) i would realy like to see some more maps like this! Oh well... GREAT MAPS :D
Stratos 9 Jun, 2012 @ 9:09am
Awesome work, just like on TWP. First time I played through all of these maps. Can't wait for the escape, if you do make that it's gonna' be epic, I'm sure. ;)

Just want to let you know, although this has been said before, that some parts can be skipped. The biggest flaw in that is in Map 04, with the acid with the stepping stones. Besides these little things, it's hard to debate that this collection is excellent! :D
Aprillation 9 Jun, 2012 @ 3:50am
MUST. HAVE. MOAR. MAAAAAAAAAPS. MAKE MOAR MAPS NAO! I LOVE THIS PACK!
SK 9 Jun, 2012 @ 3:12am
I've thought of sending a mail to Valve, tell them to re-make the Portal with Portal 2 textures and models. But now I don't need to do it because you did that. Nice work, thank you so much!
BIG SEVEN STARS 8 Jun, 2012 @ 11:55pm
The panels in map 04 can get a bit frusturating, other than that this is better than I remember it in the original. Nice work :D
falconfetus8 8 Jun, 2012 @ 6:46pm
True, true. But you did use some of GLaDOS's lines :P
Audiotrash  [author] 8 Jun, 2012 @ 1:41pm
@falconfetus8 : This isnt the original portal, so why would they have a problem with someone making their own interpertation of it? :D
falconfetus8 8 Jun, 2012 @ 1:33pm
Great job! It's actually better than the original!

That being said, I'm surprised that Valve doesn't have any problems with this. This would, after all, result in lower sales of the original portal.
SomberPanic202 7 Jun, 2012 @ 11:09pm
map 06 the best
Prinzessin Emily 7 Jun, 2012 @ 2:57pm
Great maps How did you reinsert the energyball?
chunkystuff22 7 Jun, 2012 @ 12:26pm

Tenshinen 7 Jun, 2012 @ 7:35am
Overall great job, can't wait for the rest of the chambers. It's amazing to be playing portal maps again. Especially remade like this.

Falchion 6 Jun, 2012 @ 4:18pm
Well done on recreating the portal 1 maps, they are recreated accurately and a lot of the changes you have made work well with it, it was nice to see the return of the energy ball.
However the graphics now look fairly cartoonish which when coupled with the new sound have taken away a lot of the atmosphere that was a big part of what made portal 1 such a great game
Flan.Q 6 Jun, 2012 @ 2:38pm
You know, i was just thinking "Wouldn't it be cool if Portal 1 was redesigned with the Portal 2 engine?" Awesome re-creation
Brainstone 6 Jun, 2012 @ 2:37pm
I have just currently messed around with the start end exit elevators, as we all thought, videos wouldn't work without creating a custom .nut-scripts any more, which then couldn't work with pakrat. (I have fixed the problem meanwhile, look in TWP Hammer section if you're interested)
That makes me want to know: How in the hell did you get several of these elevators to work accordingly? (some are still blank) After having researched the whole thing, I came to the conclusion it was not possible without tons of work, transmitting a dozens of decimal numbers. (What I did then, in the end -.-)
Temporary Alias 5 Jun, 2012 @ 12:30pm
Can't wait for the GLaDOs boss fight.
Debries 5 Jun, 2012 @ 8:02am
This is an amazing creation, you did a terrific job. I just happend to play portal 1 a few days ago, and this is amazingly accurate. Only a lot better than the original portal. In fact, Its better than Portal 2 as well, in a way. The designing is, no doubt. The only down side is that the plasma ball has no texture, and that its not finished yet xD. I wish you good luck on the rest of the levels.
Pauolo 3 Jun, 2012 @ 5:26pm
The mapping is excellent, and somehow it felt different from Portal's geometry and more close to Portal 2's, which is a good point. However, I'm no quite satisfied with the choice of soundtracks, I would have rather seen the creepier and more mysterious tunes from Portal 2, but well this is a demo so I'm gonna wait for the mod's full release to judge that. Anyway, keep on the good work, and surprise us with the final parts. ^^
carson :) 3 Jun, 2012 @ 10:53am
Only thing that seems different is the elevators. Great job.
AnotherFreakinGuyNamedDan 3 Jun, 2012 @ 9:51am
MORE! :D
JasonBorn 2 Jun, 2012 @ 8:36pm
All from memory?? Dang dude I just recently played Portal 1 and this is surprisingly accurate
LyssaTBH 2 Jun, 2012 @ 7:11pm
this was amazing, I hope you continue to make more!
scooby jew 2 Jun, 2012 @ 10:58am
Nice map!
peetezaah 2 Jun, 2012 @ 6:48am
great job!
one "bad" thing happened though: the laser ball thingy had no texture so it appears as a pink square. Was it just me? Or is it normal to not have the texture? Maybe it didn't download the whole thing :/
Challah_Money 2 Jun, 2012 @ 4:44am
Yay! you moved this mod to the steam workshop!
mag 2 Jun, 2012 @ 12:52am
