I was told to come to you since these were your scripts, is it okay for me to make my own versions of these as long as i give credit to you?

Im actually planning on making more weapons for kitsunes but the mod creator for the kitsunes toldme the weapon in their nod originally came from these scripts

The regular magnorbs being nonexistent makes creating halorbs from the angel mod impossible, would there be some kinf of fix for this?

I really love the idea of this mod, I only wish that they elemental orbs had another level of upgrade, or that they just did a bit more damage to make them useable in late-end game.

@Azulaloi I've made made this compatible with FU's armor bonuses and upgrades for my own playthrough. With your permission, I'll upload it.

For some reason the game doesn't consider them magnorb, i'm using FU and Magnaorbs armor set bonus don't apply to them. Also i get a small visual bug where the description window of other orbs crafted from the FU armor station is blank (so can't see stats on them)

@Azulaloi Are there any plans on making the Asuteru Obu with a 2nd ability or is it going to stay the way it is? A shield would be fine but maybe you have other ideas.

what are the chances of making these one-handed? (could use a modifier key to activate the shield or something. like shift+primary/secondary, depending on which hand you're holding it in)

i used to use this mod

but it has a few issues which i doubt will be fixed, considering how long ago it was last updated
it was also just for the default magnorb.

I kinda like this mod since I do like the magnorbs weapon, only issue I have with this mod is that it ads this bulky object to the character's arm, compared to the subtle armband of the original. Would it be possible to have a slimmed down version of it that looks more like the original?

That's doable, yes. Even without this mod.

I've seen custom weapons that are magnorbs that explode on contact with terrain, and then become friendly drones when they return. Their sprite is also a drone.

after trying out magnorbs I wonder is it possible to change the "orbs" sprite into another weapon say like chakrams... I once tried my hand at making custom weapons but the magnorbs are just like staffs they arent exactly "flexible" as the guns and swords in the game :<

I actually enjoy using the HV magnorbs the DPS they do is insane when compared to the Solarium version...

@Shardinhand Its Magnorbs. Its a unique weapon type idea from Starbound; Its a metal-ball thrower that recalls them with magnetism. Effectively a bouncy-ball boomerang. This mod adds more spins on the initial weapon.

Any mod that adds actual new items, mainly furniture, needs to be serverside aswell. Can't have new content in the game without the server knowing.

The astral magnorbs, despite being two-handed, seem to lack a secondary ability? I still love them, but am curious if it's intended or not.
(actually, brighter colours wouldn't go amiss either ;D I sometimes mix up the blue and purple orbs.)
Seriously great mod though! Magnorbs are my second favourite weapon and they get too little expansion. (still more than staves/wands, my favourite weapons)
Anyway! keep at it!

@Flannel - Thank you for sharing your suggestions! I'll see what I can do about Frackin' compatibility, might need to be a separate mod. I think FU also has some of its own magnorbs already so I'll need to look at those first. I like your secondary ideas as well.

@PowerGaming - I have some racial magnorb ideas written down somewhere that might make it in eventually.

The secondary ability for the phasic orbs is so good when you're running across a planet to get your stuff after you die

Wow, just wow. The magnorbs have always been my favorite starbound weapon and by exetention this has been one of my favorite mods as there are barely any out there that have magnorb related content. I had no clue that this mod would be getting a major update and I just want to say thank you for making such an excellent mod!

I had some time over the holidays, and now I am excited to finally release 2.0 (previously 1.3). This is a pretty big update. It's almost a totally new mod. Almost all the sprites have been redone, everything has fancy particles, there are new informative tooltips, and there is a new non-shield ability. The rainbow set still doesn't have an ability. Many bugs have been fixed. All the sets have their own sounds. That's 160+ sounds mixed from game assets. I see waveforms when I close my eyes.

To get started with 2.0, craft a Lodestone Stand at an inventor's table. Please let me know if you encounter any issues.

Only thing I found disappointing was the generic discriptions on the magnorbs so didn't know what element or damage or anything about them or what their special ability is

I'd like to see these use energy. I don't expect this mod to be updated by Azulaloi anytime soon, but should an update should happen, that's what I'd like to see.

May I suggest you change the "asutoru obu" to "asutero obu" so that it corresponds to the "asuterosaberu dx"

the asutoru obu's damge should be nerfed since you can find it in the begining of the game and you can kill the shockhopper with it in like 5 seconds
