2025, again I’m convinced that this is the best camera I’ve ever tried

Oh and for those who solved this before but can't work out what's going on, he's changed it since 2016.

Omg thank you canticle. I was soooo close. I think given another 2 days of staring at it I would have gotten it but I also need to sleep and I have guests coming. As soon as I ended up back in the main chamber with the cubes switched over and the gell on the first section of the lightbridge, under the high square I was done. Not sure if I can be bothered with the 'cleanup' lol.

Very easy to overthink this one, even with the intro. I did it faster this second time around but both times thought I had to double bounce with two light bridges across the gap to the exit . But after dwelling on what the intro chamber taught me and thinking harder about the layout of the main map, I realized that wasn't necessary at all.

Difficulty 6/10, design 8/10. Great challenge as always.

Wow, a very Mevious map. The solution finally came to me just as I was heading off to dream land.

Yowza! Another great challenge from your workshop.

Just revisited this one after years and no memory of how it worked. I figured out the "main trick" of the gel juggle relatively quickly and then got stuck on how exactly to place the portals for the last step. It took me forever to realize I could shoot a portal back into the initial area without stepping through the emancipation grid , and then I felt like an idiot. My favorite puzzle so far.

Tip: put the transfer door under the floor of the button room and the gel pipe

O my gosh, this was almost impossible. I tried so many things..... but I knew a solucion exists. Seeing all those enthousiastic comments when I was still struggling, it kept me going. Pfffj, very clever puzzle. Mevious, you are devious (haha). Znx a lot, keep going making such nice puzzles.

Thanks for all the comments everyone!

@private.way, thanks for letting me know. I switched it back to unlisted.

Pretty nice chamber. Took me a few minutes to figure out the right sequence of portals. Well done!

While I may give in earlier on other authors, I always try to hang in to a solution of a Mevious puzzle, knowing they are logic and not ninja. I almost got this one, but after trying so many things, I had to start looking at comments for just a hint--which came in the form of confirming that the solution involved having a portal in both the dropper and button areas . I had had such a set up before, but not knowing it was correct led me to abandon looking at all the possibilities it could offer. In my experimentation I had had such a setup in an attempt to do a gel juggle which was soooo close. The confirmation from the hint had me finally hit upon not so much a juggle as a drop with a quick portal change while the blob was still in the air in the button room . Having already figured out what the final moves had to be, the rest came naturally. Almost...but just a smidge to Mevious for me to get without a little nudge.

Another awesome level of Mevious!
Pligraf 10 Jul, 2019 @ 11:37am
Mevious. I'm trying to go through this card again, and again puzzled. I forgot how it went in 2016:steamfacepalm:
SteemStream 11 May, 2019 @ 5:54pm
Very clever, I figured out most of it, but I was missing one thing for hours on end, had to look at the solution to make me realize the one thing that was missing, made me feel pretty oblivious after watching.
RanBS 9 May, 2019 @ 11:51am
Always clever. We appreciate you man!

Awesome map, you don't imagine how much I love your test rooms, always super clever! Thanks man :p2turret:
Mikeastro 27 Jan, 2019 @ 3:01pm
Excellent map - very clever. Though as I've said before, the intro rooms tend to give it away a bit too much in my opinion

Incredible puzzle.

Really brilliant use of the light bridge and timer.

I agree with SethMT, but I'd put it more succinctly: Damn you anyway, Mevious!:steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy:
I know the answer is there and obvious but I just DO NOT see it yet, just like all your puzzles. I'm going to upvote this one even before I finish it lolol

This was the first test that truly stumped me back when I first started playing. I've finally found it again and have now managed to solve it myself completely!

You feel so restricted with what little you're given, but the solution brings everything together perfectly. I adore how minimalist your tests always are. Every single aspect is important in some way. Gorgeous. It can even give you hints as to what to do next!

I will say though that it was a bit of a slap in the face having to redo the entire test again simply because I used the wrong portal on the final step and drowned. There must be a simple way to combat this.
Traveler807 23 Apr, 2018 @ 11:51am
This one was quite tough, probably because I unknowingly completed the training room in an unintended way. pressing the pedestal button that turns on the funnel through a portal, while I was in mid bounce Trying to apply this stratergy to the main puzzle just results in headaches. Very satisfying to complete though when I finaly made it:)
marnikema 13 Apr, 2018 @ 2:17pm
thank you so much for creating those maps!!
UsUrp3r 15 Mar, 2018 @ 2:51pm
As always great map design, as usual had me stumped for way longer than most other peoples.
TETRIS*MASTER* 13 Mar, 2018 @ 4:29pm
yo Mevious! Big fan of your Portal 2 maps. I played through most of your maps without any help. But this map was something else... I had to look up the solution because this was stressing me out! I thought I tried everything and got stuck for a long while lol. Anyways, good map as always.
Guardian.Knight 10 Feb, 2018 @ 4:21am
What a test!!!
I don't mind this test is so hard, even though it waste my 3 hours.
In fact,I think this test is better than other popular but simple tests.
PS:Forgive my poor English.

My solution was similar to mocha's, but I'm not as skilled at mid-air momentum control. I used propulsion gel near the source of the gel to get elevation and place a portal. I put the propulsion gel in the same location as mocha, but this allowed me to cover a larger area so that I could hit it from further away and higher up. Then I put a portal on the ceiling while bouncing and then made it back over the wall.

Amazing work. I love that every time I thought I had reached an epiphany, your clever map design forced me to do it the intended way. When the lightbulb went off to juggle the gel bomb it was an absolute treat. My only complaint is that quickloading doesn't save the state of gel on light bridges, which added some annoying re-setup time . But definitely adding to my favorites!

I love your pazzles! You're the only reason this game is still alive for me. Please don't stop making them :)
Instantiation 24 Jun, 2017 @ 9:13pm
Gah. This solution is so good, but so well hidden.

Something I appreciate about this one is the minimalism. I can't imagine the whole map in my mind down to the smallest detail, but I can imagine it well enough.

I feel like I was close to Daniel's solution, but I was just worse at the execution and I dismissed it too soon. I found that well before understanding the true solution, really. *shrug*

Anyway, thanks again for making this. It was a blast.
Fumbly Bumbly 16 Apr, 2017 @ 11:45pm
Excellent map. It takes your map Height a step further in terms of concepts and design. Thumbs up! This one's a favourite.
Mevious  [author] 24 Mar, 2017 @ 6:57pm
Thanks Daniel. That's a clever solution.

Nice map but honestly there's such big penalties for messing up that it takes ten times longer to solve. One accidental death and you're back at the very beginning, one mistake of portal color and you have to redo the whole thing. Figuring it out is one thing, but executing every step perfectly and relying on physics to work perfectly made this very annoying.
