I switched from this mod to https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2405013108 and performance increased dramatically

@khumak
This has always worked well for me in WotC. Have a read of these:

Not sure if I have a mod conflict or what, but this mod doesn't work for me in WOTC. It doesn't crash, just doesn't do anything and I do have the shadow chamber built.
FunkyDe 30 Dec, 2020 @ 8:06am
Is this compatible with Long War?
Agrippa HX 14 Dec, 2020 @ 9:53pm
Also, this is a mod to a game, it's not XCOM investing resources in anything. How that has anything to do with modding a video game beats me.
Agrippa HX 14 Dec, 2020 @ 9:52pm
@Courier 6 — Because they have a tech (Shadow Chamber) that allows them to know exactly how many enemies are within a mission area. If you know how many there are and how many you've killed, you know how many are left.

A better question is... why wouldn't you use this information?!
Courier 6 14 Dec, 2020 @ 9:17pm
This would still not make sense as an upgrade or a research option, why would X-COM waste time an resources on something like counting how many aliens you've killed. No offense to you anyways just saying it doesn't really make any sense.
Agrippa HX 29 Nov, 2020 @ 2:59am
I don't think it really affects difficulty. With its default settings, it doesn't reveal the enemy count unless you already have Shadow Chamber, so it's not giving you any information you don't already have. It does mean you don't have to track or remember your number of kills, which to me is just a quality-of-life enhancement.
Cruel's Lullaby 29 Nov, 2020 @ 12:05am
this mod seem really interesting, but the backward for me to instal it is that it would make thing easier. might i suggest you to make this as an upgrade or consumable on a mission?
projectmayhem 14 Nov, 2020 @ 12:06pm
Excellent mod

@GoodShark
Works for me. Some great Mod Troubleshooting advice.
GoodShark 21 Oct, 2020 @ 1:45pm
This didn't show up for me in WotC.
Albul 22 Aug, 2020 @ 8:34am
@Dragon32 thank you, that fixed it. I have noticed your previous post mentions the same launcher, but when I saw it's from 2019, i thought it may not longer apply, so wanted make sure. Thanks again.
Dragon32 21 Aug, 2020 @ 4:43pm
@Albul
2K's new launcher is rubbish. Use a good one: https://github.com/X2CommunityCore/xcom2-launcher/wiki/Installation
Albul 21 Aug, 2020 @ 1:09pm
Am i the only one for whom this is not working anymore? I recently reinstalled the game and it seems like this mod doesn't have any effect in game. I have two other mods, Detailed Soldier Lists & Numeric Health display working fine (they also worked fine together with TacticalUI KillCounter like an year before, when I last played XCOM 2 WotC). Can anyone please confirm whether it's still supposed to be working, so I know whether it's an issue with my game files or with the mod itself.
Blabba754 4 Apr, 2020 @ 12:51am
Sometimes you can get a sitrep called Position Scout or similiar, which shows all units and their position on the map.
This can happen before you build the shadow chamber.
It would be cool if this mod could account for that and still show the enemy total number in this casae.
Dragon32 29 Dec, 2019 @ 5:12pm
No. Thousands are using this without issue.
Some great Mod Troubleshooting advice.
That recommends the excellent Alternate Mod Launcher [github.com], which everyone who uses mods should be using.

If you've just switched from the Firaxis Launcher, or are forced to use it, read the "Mods not activating/deactivating properly in WOTC" section of Mod not working? Mods still have their effects after you disable them?
If you're using the Community Highlander then read its specific troubleshooting advice [github.com]

Every time in lost missions, when they appear or when my turn ends it crash, could it be because this mod¡?????
Dragon32 8 Dec, 2019 @ 6:52am
@grifith:
Read the first couple of lines of the Description.
grifith 8 Dec, 2019 @ 5:12am
hello, i have wotc and all dlc. When I start the games it says this mod is incompatible? i haven't tried it yet so i don't know.
looplick 20 Nov, 2019 @ 6:34pm
Could you possibly add a civilian kill count? Maybe a game total that shows up every mission?
Tim_ 8 Oct, 2019 @ 4:36pm
I just completed a WOTC campaign with 104 mods including this one. It all went well.
2101 27 May, 2019 @ 4:52pm
This mod is an essential for me, and I cannot get it to work at all in x2 with or without lw2 on my new pc. Is this a known issue that can be worked around? I cant get the manually downloaded version to appear in the mod manager list either.
Wolf Renegade 30 Mar, 2019 @ 2:47am
I can't be asked to remember every single kill I got so this mod is a must for me.

Small Note: I know this is a long shot, but I would love to have This mod implemented in this if possible that would be great Since it hasn't been updated in a long time, and I could be wrong but I read somewhere that Grim quit Modding Xcom.

P.S Sorry if it was asked before.
Dragon32 21 Feb, 2019 @ 4:15pm
@Dark Templar
Like Agrippa HX I'm running this fine with Yet Another F1 (and Flawless). So it's not those two.
Agrippa HX 21 Feb, 2019 @ 2:18pm
@Dark Templar — Not sure what your issue is, but I run this with Yet Another F1 without difficulties.
⚡Judge Zed⚡ 21 Feb, 2019 @ 1:37pm
For some reason this mod breaks my setup, making it impossible to complete "Neutralize all enemy targets" objectives, removing the mod instantly solves the issue, I'm running, Tactical UI Overhaul, Flawless, Soldier Development, Light Strategy Overhaul(The one with the Heat Mechanic SiTreps), Yet Another F1, are the relevant ones I can think of. I noticed it adds extra enemies in the counter after they are all dead (no advent turn), now that I think of it its probably "Yet Another F1"
Mr. Nice 12 Jan, 2019 @ 8:40am
@Dragoon: The "Extended Information" mod gives current mission kills (as well as total kills) as part of the extended soldier stats tooltip.
ПΛПО Dragoon 5 Jan, 2019 @ 11:56pm
Yes, Thank you for telling me I did not see it. Still would be nice to have an in mission kill counter so I can know who has or hasen't gotten a kill. Would be nice to know if everyone got at least 1.
Agrippa HX 5 Jan, 2019 @ 8:03pm
Well, if a soldier has earned a promotion, that soldier's rank emblem will have a plus symbol (+) superimposed. Does that help?
ПΛПО Dragoon 5 Jan, 2019 @ 7:20am
Well I was looking for one that shows during the mission so I canknow wther or not my rookie or cpl has gotten a kill for the mission or not.
Dragon32 4 Jan, 2019 @ 10:28am
@ПΛПО Dragoon:
Have a look at "Nice Mission Debriefing" if you haven't already seen it, that'll give you kill counts and other things.
ПΛПО Dragoon 4 Jan, 2019 @ 3:46am
I hope you add the show names feature! As well as maybe a toggleable personal kill count for each mission. So I can know for sure who got a kill and who didn't.
ПΛПО Dragoon 4 Jan, 2019 @ 3:44am
It shows up for me. Double check to make sure it's enable,if it's enabled try to unsub (and or delete the mod) then resub, and lasting check to make sure it's not incompatioble with your other mods.
coco the magical 1 Jan, 2019 @ 8:37pm
why doesnt this show up at the start of missions
Dragon32 13 Dec, 2018 @ 11:04am
@SooFany ®:
Download and use Mod Config Menu
SooFany 13 Dec, 2018 @ 4:26am
Where is the setting file for this mod. I can't find one :(
Agrippa HX 5 Nov, 2018 @ 7:10pm
@müendiz — From the description:

"NEW: WotC Ready - works on every XCOM2 version (despite the triangle)"

That means the mod is falsely identified as incompatible but is in fact compatible. I'm using it with the latest WOTC and it works just fine.
müendiz 5 Nov, 2018 @ 10:34am
In the launcher windows I get and and exclamation mark next to mod name. And when I mouse over it I get this error.
This mod is not compatible; but only contains content changes. Use at your risk.
What should I do?
Agrippa HX 27 Oct, 2018 @ 1:15am
@灰化肥会挥发灰化肥会发黑

It might be your config. I think by default it only shows the remaining (or total) count if you have the Shadow Chamber. You can reconfigure it to display the remaining at all times if you prefer.
13 Sep, 2018 @ 8:35pm
hi,now i can see 'killed' 'active' but remaning,i use the mod only one test,and same error
a.v.scaletta 24 Mar, 2018 @ 12:53pm
Is this compatible with LW2?
Dragon32 14 Mar, 2018 @ 12:48pm
@Hotl3looded:
Cool. Glad you sorted it out.
Hotl3looded 14 Mar, 2018 @ 12:16pm
@Dragon32 I made a mistake, the conflicting Mod was "Show enemies on mission planning". I forgot to update to the WOTC version. I will delete my previous comment to prevent confusion.
Dragon32 14 Mar, 2018 @ 11:31am
@Hotl3looded:
I've got the Shadow Chamber running with this mod (and a slew of others) without a problem. Have aread of these they could help:

And if you use the Firaxis launcher: https://www.reddit.com/r/xcom2mods/wiki/wotc_modding/guides/fix_duplicateactivemod
Blabba754 10 Mar, 2018 @ 7:22am
@Marconius vips can be killed OR captured so it makes sense
Marconius 6 Nov, 2017 @ 8:29am
I have found two minor bugs:
1) In VIP capture missions, the VIP is counted in the total enemy count.
2) If you have the "Alien Infiltrator" dark event active, then Faceless still hidden on the map are counted into the total count. Not a huge issue, since you can usually guess there will be 1-2 Faceless, but still; my view is the initial number when you enter the mission should be the exact same as it is in the Shadow Chamber preview, I'd rather not have extra information. I imagine this issue might also affect the count in retaliation missions.
