@MisterVercetti I know you won't see this, but it's still possible with a portal bump
humvee 29 Dec, 2022 @ 1:00pm
SoftLock in 13 is still possible, but this time there is no scripting for GlaDOS to open the door.
Negrotecc 25 Oct, 2022 @ 2:04am
One of my first community made maps, only found it re-visiting the history tab that I didnt know that existed
Rooke 25 Dec, 2021 @ 3:38pm
Excellent!

Cool!

Quite a little trick, though I would prefer Portal 2 theme.
United Stealth 23 Dec, 2019 @ 10:18am
Sooo, portal 1 maps, just a little different? Meh.
lfairban 10 Oct, 2018 @ 8:52am
That was different. Good job!
Lajtynyq 23 Sep, 2016 @ 6:30am
good
MisterVercetti 25 May, 2015 @ 3:41pm
This chamber seems to have been broken by a recent update, as the second half (the original chamber 14) is now unsolvable because what I presume was originally grating over the button has turned to glass.
Petutski 9 Jul, 2014 @ 1:16pm
Nice job, but I really don't like precision jumping. Was good practice for me.
BUG 24 May, 2014 @ 8:16am
Nice map not too hard,thanks
Bayram 13 Aug, 2013 @ 6:54am
I think the people having trouble with this map are not very good players. I'm only fairly good myself and I had absolutely no problems. You can completely ignore those panels that pop up and down in the toxic goo and use portals to get to and from the particle emitter. Very enjoyable, thumbs up!
Poulet repas 18 Jun, 2013 @ 11:49am
@G_Boy Il les construit avec Valve Hammer Editor, un logiciel d'étition 3D qui prend 15 minutes pour créer une porte.
Kuromi With A Gaming PC 30 Dec, 2012 @ 11:37am
tu parle francais alors sa alors eh commants con fait pour avior des maps comme sa parceque on peux pas an construire commants qon fait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yavie 18 Oct, 2012 @ 12:04pm
Reading some of these reviews, I'm wondering if I got through this without doing the intended steps. I found it very easy. Fun, but easy. The goo pit is very easy if you open a portal at the end and just jump down when the panels open up over there. *shrug* And I didn't have a problem at all with the stairs....
The Sojourner 19 Sep, 2012 @ 5:11pm
Additionally, the goo pit is too challenging for some to even try to cross. Perhaps you're forgetting about why Valve designed these chambers as they did in the original Portal.
The Sojourner 19 Sep, 2012 @ 5:01pm
@zapmunk, I agree with you 110%. Cubes + Doors + Portals = a trapped player if you're not careful! I already trapped myself at chamber 13 with no help. I also got caught in the stairs and had to cheat my way out! Never good.
Mr Fraggle (UK) 10 Sep, 2012 @ 3:25am
I found the floor panel part of what,up to then, had been a very enjoyable map, very tedious and gave up.
za(pm🐿mp)unk 30 Aug, 2012 @ 12:29pm
I think this map is a little bit broken. The box the cube is supposed to go into cannot be accessed without glitches/cheats, and the stair logic seems to be stuck on open/close/repeat loop.
StIg 16 Jul, 2012 @ 6:10am
Didn't have any problems with bumpings or timings. Great map.
mood3rd 26 Jun, 2012 @ 3:28pm
note to self: be carefull what I wish for.
I asked for more challenging maps from you.
the floor moving panels, above the nurotoxin, was almost to challenging for me.
it took me many tries/deaths, to cross them.
I had to turn the sound off, to help concentrate,
still got frustrated, so had to turn my music on to try to calm me.
think this helped, as I did it not long after.
then after firing portal, made it back on 3rd attempt.
the energy ball looked how I remember it,
so maybe their pc specs need upgrading ?
thankyou
Mike Oxlong 17 Jun, 2012 @ 1:49pm
The fact that you have to portal bump to get the second portal into the box with the button was annoying and the timings on the floor panels didn't give the player much room for error. Otherwise pretty good.
LPChip 16 Jun, 2012 @ 6:53am
the energy ball in this level had the normal texture it should have, unlike previous levels where it was purple/black. The level is far from the original though, and that makes skipping many of the tests impossible. too bad.
protoborg 15 Jun, 2012 @ 12:20pm
@Audiotrash I was refering to the original Portal level. There are quite a few videos on youtube I'm sure if you really want to see what I mean.
Audiotrash  [author] 11 Jun, 2012 @ 10:26pm
Any videos would be very helpfull :D
protoborg 11 Jun, 2012 @ 5:53pm
@Audiotrash True. You could still skip most of the level.
ralf_matz 11 Jun, 2012 @ 11:10am
Nice :-)
b E JI bI I/I 11 Jun, 2012 @ 5:24am
yes ))
Audiotrash  [author] 11 Jun, 2012 @ 2:41am
@Protoborg, the door only opens once the energy ball is inside the catcher. ;)
Fact_Sphere 10 Jun, 2012 @ 11:56pm
The platforms in the goo move to quickly, the ball is indeed a checkerboard and the steps move a little to fast... appart from that this map is awesome and there's some really nice looking things in the map and it is well put together.
Nulono 10 Jun, 2012 @ 3:33pm
The bridge sections move too quickly, the stairs keep collapsing as I try to walk down them, and the energy ball is a pick checkerboard.
protoborg 10 Jun, 2012 @ 3:33pm
You do know there is a simple way to avoid the entire level...unless Audiotrash was smarter than Valve. In the original level you didn't actually have to complete the level. You could just fling yourself up to the ledge where the exit was.
Suodattaja 10 Jun, 2012 @ 1:13am
This map looks great and it´s very playable. As "simonportal" mentioned there is a shortcut which makes you able to avoid the water part completely. The stairs (which do flip up and down) just looks great but it does not actually add any challenge. Anyway, great job!
simonportal 9 Jun, 2012 @ 8:45pm
as always great looking visuals in these deja vu maps but the puzzles are a bit too easy and have often "shortcuts". for example in this map i didn't use the brigde with the moving blocks...i just jumpoed out to the other side. still thumbs up
Silent Andy 9 Jun, 2012 @ 11:36am
To noisy...
riouxcharles 8 Jun, 2012 @ 6:39pm
Easy way to avoid the acid bath...
Tenshinen 8 Jun, 2012 @ 8:59am
@xPi Yeah on chamber 14 I got stuck and i fizzled the cube and got stuck :L.
NanoPi 8 Jun, 2012 @ 6:07am
this too . these are great maps regardless
NanoPi 8 Jun, 2012 @ 5:52am
lacks a "you have trapped yourself" check for or prevention of bypassing the cube
alanshar 7 Jun, 2012 @ 8:22pm
another great map dude. bringing back so many great memories:)!.
Le Petit Mort 7 Jun, 2012 @ 3:49pm
This was a bit more like it, though the inability to sequence-break the left is a bit perplexing; the timing on the 'platforming' section is too strict for so harsh a penalty, slow it down or remove the water.
McDom 7 Jun, 2012 @ 10:10am
chamber 14 was, an interesting re-make. Still good though
Tenshinen 7 Jun, 2012 @ 7:50am
In chamber 14 the box to the button is fully blocked by glass..... Help.
SunnieD_ 6 Jun, 2012 @ 5:52pm
I find the maps really well made but it was too...Portal 2..ish for me.
Dizzy the Void 6 Jun, 2012 @ 2:08pm
Pretty good, more or less, especially in the first half ... the thing is, chamber 14 was needlessly twitchy -- I would have had the stairs in the first half move according to the player's actions like it was in the originals, and the platforms in the goo were moving WAY too fast (I basically ended up just portalling across).
StrangelyTyped 6 Jun, 2012 @ 4:32am
The panels up to the cube/energy pellet receiver in chamber 14 were a little wierd, kept closing and opening for no apparent reason, but other than that, good.
Oh and I seem to be missing the energy pellet texture, shows up as purple/black, althoughit works.
borg4tress 6 Jun, 2012 @ 2:54am
Great! Innovative and a good walk to manage it :-)
ArgleBargle 4 Jun, 2012 @ 11:23pm
OK, test chamber 14 wasn't a deja vu.. it was still pretty good. I'd have done it as a separate map... but that's me.
carson :) 4 Jun, 2012 @ 6:41pm
@Audiothrash So you mean you did that do bug us? Rghhhhh...
