OMG ITS A SHOOTING RANGE i cant say the word gun in school

Another nice one. Easy to figure out, not so much to execute. And it wasn't the sort of thing I knew I could never do. Just the opposite. I felt that if I continued, I would eventually get the hang of where to look and when to push the button... and I did. WooHoo

I didn't finish it and it wannoyed be but at the same time it's a cool map and I like it. Thumbs up from me. :D >:(

Brand new fun game in my workshop! Lets try the Chamboule-Tout !
stormsend 5 Aug, 2012 @ 1:09pm
I was very impressed. Everything worked together after i got the hang of it. I liked using faith plates for the jumps and the orange gel was good forethought. I also like to see dead turrets bounce around but to hold one as it burns while flying... two thumbs up.
MachManX 23 Jul, 2012 @ 10:06am
No not yet. Just bought this game two weeks ago, for the Perpetual Initiative DLC. Otherwise I already had the 360 version of the game. THIS is what makes PC games SOOOOO much better than their console counterparts: The Modding Community! Cheers to them!! :D
Geneosis  [author] 23 Jul, 2012 @ 3:50am
@machmanx : Did you build any maps with the PeTI editor? I can't see your workshop on your profile page ^^"
Geneosis  [author] 23 Jul, 2012 @ 3:45am
Glad you liked it ^^
You probably already found it, but just in case, here are all my Fun maps ;)
MachManX 23 Jul, 2012 @ 12:18am
Definitely a fun map. That super speed plate and then givin' the turrets the ol' "bump" made me feel like a football player and his teammate doing a jump-n-bump except here I used it to BURRRRN them :D Enjoyed this map, thx!

Geneosis:
thankyou for your informative feedback.
Geneosis  [author] 17 Jul, 2012 @ 5:02pm
@-maniax- : Well I noticed this potential fail just after I published the map -_- But If I try to fix it I need to make dark almost all the walls on top of the grating... That will ruin the design on the map ^^" Will see if I found another way to avoid that the player walk there...

@mood3rd : The top buttons are mainly there for "fun special kills", nevermind if the turrets kill each others here ;) Anyway I will fix that with a glass as you said if I do a bigger update later ^^
And about the blue goo, that's just because I like bouncing turrets :p So you can put turrets you grabbed and that didn't burn in the blue gel and let them bounce everywhere ^^
mood3rd 17 Jul, 2012 @ 4:45pm
good map.
great idea.
glad when I finished, as had got tedious.
tractor beam, close on timing, but enough.
I had to spend to much time zooming, to be able to see upper areas, turrets, panels etc.
I missed 1 button out, as the 2 turrets near exit, both died when I hit 1 button.
I missed exactly what happened.
but I think the 1 turret, hit the other 1, while firing.
perhaps putting glass between them, could stop 1 turret hitting the other.
orange goo, was good idea, to avoid a lenthy walking time,
back to the faithplates.
I did not understand the reason for the blue goo, that drops on the glass,
near the faithplates or the glass, if blue goo was removed.
-maniax- 17 Jul, 2012 @ 2:36pm
@Geneosis
Nice updates, The variety certainly keeps it interesting now

I think you need to remove the portal panels that are above both sides of the horizontal glass as it's possible to put a portal above the glass and then walk along the top edge of it to get to the lower turrets
Geneosis  [author] 12 Jul, 2012 @ 3:44am
Oh, sorry, forgot that "Fixed quick finish found by <Moving-DEATH>" XD
And the angled pannels anre placed so that they will propulse you to a turret every time ;)
And sadly I can't do pannels that alternate between 45° and 30° -_-
Le Petit Mort 11 Jul, 2012 @ 8:51pm
I'm definitely digging the angled-panels; can you add switches to toggle the angle?

Pros:
• More variety;
• 'Bonus' kills;

Cons:
• A little tedious;
• You got rid of the 'hopping' shortcut you ungrateful jerk!
Geneosis  [author] 11 Jul, 2012 @ 6:30am
Done the big update! Added more various ways to kill the turrets, hope this will be more fun this way ^^ Feel free to test it again and tell me what you think ;)
Geneosis  [author] 11 Jul, 2012 @ 3:22am
@-maniax- : That's a lot of interesting ideas you have there ^^ Will try to implement most of them when I have a moment ;)
-maniax- 10 Jul, 2012 @ 4:16pm
@Geneosis, to add a (little) bit of variety how about moving some of the turrets to a second light bridge and change the angle (or move) the corresponding portal panels used to reach those turrets?

and/or...

have blocks hanging from the ceiling in some places that you have to paint with the blue gel (via the angled panels?) so that you can access a lower or higher level light bridge by bouncing off the painted block and approaching some turrents from behind (the down side to that is that it'd leave the player at the far end of the chamber with a long walk back to the turret disposal pit)
Le Petit Mort 9 Jul, 2012 @ 12:56pm
@Geneosis: Fo rizzle! It's might not work 100% of the time, but if, out of the fling, you keep jumping (i.e. touch ground as little as possible), you keep a lot more of your momentum and can make it to the end.

It's pretty cool, actually.
Geneosis  [author] 8 Jul, 2012 @ 2:39pm
@-maniax- : So if you red the description, you think it would be better to remove a half of the turrets?
-maniax- 8 Jul, 2012 @ 2:30pm
A bit repetative but fun none the less
Geneosis  [author] 5 Jul, 2012 @ 3:20am
@<Moving-DEATH> : Seriously?!? O_o I didn't really tried to survive to the turrets, but I never had thought that it could be possible XD Well, if courageous persons want to try that, nevermind :p
Le Petit Mort 4 Jul, 2012 @ 6:33pm
Alternate Method:
• If you keep hopping along the bridge, you can get to the exit before you're made into swiss cheese;
(I think you'll want to keep this one intact; it's fun!)
cyron43 2 Jul, 2012 @ 12:36pm
OIC, yeah having a fireball flying with me was kind of cool. :-D
Geneosis  [author] 2 Jul, 2012 @ 10:08am
The lasers are there to set the turrets on fire when you catch them X)
cyron43 2 Jul, 2012 @ 9:48am
Hi Geneosis,
imho killing 3 to max 5 turrets this way is fun. Anything more is just grinding.
The lasers are just decoration or did I miss something?
Geneosis  [author] 30 Jun, 2012 @ 2:04pm
Map updated! Please read the description and give me your advice ;)
Geneosis  [author] 30 Jun, 2012 @ 1:37pm
Oh, I think the Turret Fireworks gave me an awesome idea to make this test better :p Will try that immediately ^^
Geneosis  [author] 30 Jun, 2012 @ 1:36pm
Well, I know this test is really linear... If I found a better idea to use turret catching without making it very hard, I will update this map ^^
Baadrix 30 Jun, 2012 @ 1:29pm
The idea was very nice, but doing the same thing 10 - 15 times in row isn't a lot of fun IMHO. There could have been more variation throughout the test.
Geneosis  [author] 28 Jun, 2012 @ 11:20am
Want more turret destruction? Come to the Turret Fireworks !
Geneosis  [author] 22 Jun, 2012 @ 2:54pm
Bounce gel because : what is more fun than a dead turret? A bouncing dead turret!
Le Petit Mort 22 Jun, 2012 @ 1:16pm
Why the unused bounce-gel? Or do you have some sort of grudge against my clock-cycles?

Pros:
• Appealing aesthetic design;
• Mega-jump;

Cons:
• Solution is tedious, could be more fun;
Geneosis  [author] 8 Jun, 2012 @ 6:43am
^^ I put the blue gel only for that :p I like having blue turrets bouncing everywhere too ;)
Ninjababe 7 Jun, 2012 @ 10:27pm
I like this one. It was fun. I especially liked the bouncing turrets I ended up with along the way :)
Geneosis  [author] 7 Jun, 2012 @ 9:19am
#F4F = Feedback For(4) Feedback, see this link for more info ;)
RaVeN 6 Jun, 2012 @ 8:05pm
btw what is #F4F ?
RaVeN 6 Jun, 2012 @ 8:04pm
ha much better!
Geneosis  [author] 6 Jun, 2012 @ 7:33pm
Update completed!
What do you think about the new skin of the map? :p
Geneosis  [author] 6 Jun, 2012 @ 6:36pm
Yep, maybe some goo on the floor, and about the walls... Will think about a cool drawing :p
RaVeN 6 Jun, 2012 @ 6:29pm
it was good but it felt like it was missing something... probably because of the big open space.. maybe you should draw something on the walls with non-portalable surfaces and put some goo to cover the main floor :)
