This either needs to instakill or lose its green tint and effects entirely and be called the Space Jump. The Screw Attack instakills enemies, not just turns you invincible.

This also shouldn't drain energy. The Space Jump is infinite, not just multiple jumps.

Balancing is cool and all but this is neither the Space Jump nor the Screw Attack mechanically.

little hard to use... and the tutorial room for it is impossible without being invincible due to its iffy mechanics and poor room design due to the inability to get more then two inches off the ground before dying because the tech wouldnt activate

hey are you still updating the mod? if so is there a way to make an animated sprite to go over the player when using it to make it somewhat look like how it is in metroid? other then that YES THANK YOU.

Nerf the last test chamber, it's not only super laggy, but the ceiling after the door makes it hard to innitiate the jump (I am aware of the platform, it doesn't help when you just end up taking damage from it whilst trying to jump)

I know it's really my fault, but the last part of the test chamber makes my game lag so bad that I can't pass it, can't even get out of the lazers when I fall in.

To add to the previous comment: Jumping from a platform makes the screw attack work as expected. Jumping from solid ground causes it to last one frame.

BUG: It seems that the Smolvali (Small Avali) mod interfiers with the screw attack. Jumping causes the animation to last for 1 frame and thats it. It is possible it is registering me being on the ground just after I jump due to the smaller player height.

Brilliant Bug, Beam when doing it and you will be stuck green and glowing, which actually makes for a decent light source, to fix, either die or enter a veichle, at least, those are the ones I figured out.

That can be fixed by dying, be sure to put all your stuff somewhere safe first, or die on a mission where you don't loose all your items!

Have you tried screw attacking again? Or unequipping/re-equipping the tech? Lastly, try typing "/reload" in the chat bar

now if you wwant a tech, use this command, /enabletech TechNameNoSpace
and then replace TechNameNoSpace with what im assuming is /enabletech screwattack
enter that in and figure it out.

- Install the mod
- Do the screw attack again
- Unequip the tech
- Uninstall the mod

Should be good to go!

I need help! If I remove this mod my character gets removed as well.. What happened was while I was screw attacking the game had quit for some reason (Not the mods fault) and when I re-opened the game my character was still there but he has a green sparky aura, anyways When I unsubscribe to the mod my character vanishes but when I re-download the mod my character comes back... (still with the Aura).

I tested this tech just now in game, i think it may need some more work for it, sometimes the skill simply wont activate and it doesn't seem very stair friendly either, i am not sure what you want to do with this skill but maybe you could, just suggesting, make it usable even when falling.

well there is a simple solution for the rolling animation, much like the teleportation animation you only need to do a bipedal shape to resemble whatever race you are playing, vague enough to avoid disrupting immersion but just enough to give you the illusion of energy surrounding your character

Love the effort put into game balance! It's useful, but also unique, so that there are still situations where I might bring a different tech. Energy cost is well tuned, too. Thanks for making!

Seeing as the friend request never went through, I'll just post this here and hope you read it. While the Super Metroid sounds are nice for nostalgia's sake, they don't fit very well with the rest of Starbound's soundscape. I've come up with some sounds that could work as fitting replacements, if you'd like to preview them. I attempted to set up a personal version so I could at least enjoy the sounds myself, but for whatever reason the custom sounds never work in-game. They're already properly named and trimmed for looping, so all would need to do - presumably, at least - is drop them in the mod folder before packing the files. Hope to hear back from you soon on this, it would be excellent to have this mod fit snugly into the world of Starbound.
