B. The ship was built for a specific purpose and not really meant to be constantly flown around planets. Planets eat up 90% of your fuel just like with all CVs. IF your going to be on planet, turn off the thrusters in the control panel and your fuel effeciency goes up, just like 99% of other CVs. Its practical, but its got a purpose that it fills.
Even if this was for planet exploration/domination there arent any rocket turrets underneath the wings for easier conquering.
