I’d love an updated version.

Is this compatible with Theme Mixer?

Wish somebody would make A double moon mod.
saintkhawnan 10 May, 2020 @ 5:46pm
@dig74-- Dude, you are just going to have to live with that... Sadly, that flicker has been with this mod since its debut. Other than that, this mod is working just FINE!
DigFS 30 Mar, 2020 @ 11:29am
Hi. Great Mod.
It would be great to see an update adding, for example, the passing of a comet.
The mod works fine, but I have a little problem with the Moon. As you move across the sky, in the center of the Moon, there is a small flickering black square. It only appears with the game running. If I pause or take a screenshot, it doesn't appear. What can happen ?. a greeting

@mongul just reinstalled the game after years and its working fine here (no dlc)

I would like to know if the mod still works correctly with the new version. I noticed that the mod produces error messages when I load a scenario.

Thanks

Excellent tip. Also, I had complete blackouts in my "summers." I just unsubscribed to this for a smooth gameplay.

pls reduce the darkness too much the land or soil is completely black !!

Can you tell me what map/map theme you are using?
Also, which mods you are using that can change the light, for example:
Are you using relight, are you using ultimate eyecandy, etc?
=SAVERS=#1 10 Nov, 2018 @ 4:50pm
@TPB outerspace brightness is not working and theres a small black square twinkling in the center of the moon
Katalepsis  [author] 10 Nov, 2018 @ 12:07pm
I am not sure what exactly is not working properly. Just tried the mod and it seems to work. If you can give me more detailed information I will try to do something about it.
pmisson 12 Jul, 2018 @ 5:24pm
Hi, I really love this mode. But the new moon nights still too bright and there is shows that follow the non existing moon. It would be great if that could be fixed. I don't know why but before was working better.

@aubergine18 that's a vanilla effect, this mod doesn't change it
leftbehind 5 Jul, 2018 @ 8:19am
Is there a way to alter the aurora effects? My favorite boreal map seems to have aurora almost every night which is a bit overkill :/
benzoll 29 Jun, 2018 @ 2:22am
Work in v1.10 :hardhat:
Arch_Angel 408sj 1 Jun, 2018 @ 2:18am
is this mod uptodate and comp. with parklife? mostly wondering if this mod is uptodate.. thanks
Katalepsis  [author] 26 Feb, 2018 @ 4:52am
Added to my modding to-do list. (I am unlikely to do it anytime soon though as I am busy irl)
Haz 13 Feb, 2018 @ 1:38pm
Any chance you can allow us to move the button? I am using a custom UI and your button is just right in the middle of one of the panels. I tried editing the PanelPosition.xml but that doesn't appear to do anything
SleweD 30 Sep, 2017 @ 9:31am
Is there a way to make the moon itself brighter in the sky? It's working great but I can't actually see the moon most of the time since it's dark.
Katalepsis  [author] 10 Sep, 2017 @ 1:06pm
bcursos: Yes there is. I sent you a friend request so we can discuss in chat.
bcursor 24 Aug, 2017 @ 4:35pm
Loved and donated thanks :) I cannot play without it.

Is this opensource, can I find the sourcecode? I want to improve it

Ever since I installed this mod, I keep seeing young lovers strolling here and there down the streets of my city, and when I get close I hear them sing this sweet old song:

By the light of the silvery moon,
I want to spoon; to my honey I'll croon love's tune.
Honeymoon, keep a-shining in June.
Your silv'ry beams will bring love dreams;
We'll be cuddling soon,
By the silvery moon.

ah ok cheers
Katalepsis  [author] 28 May, 2017 @ 1:51am
No, busy with other projects atm
alsmann80 28 May, 2017 @ 1:22am
have you worked on getting tides?
Crystal Rose 8 May, 2017 @ 10:06am
Tides. I never gave it a thought. How cool! That would be awesome! Thank-you, That would look great in-game!
Katalepsis  [author] 8 May, 2017 @ 9:29am
It's called Tides, I can add that very easily as I already wrote the code for it, but, don't have much time lately. I will add it as soon as I get around to updating this mod.
Ranazomic 8 May, 2017 @ 8:14am
don't know what its called on english but, could you add "Water time" so the moon effect the water level
gravage 21 Apr, 2017 @ 6:32am
The skys definitely look sweet now. Thanks much for sharing this with us all.
Katalepsis  [author] 14 Apr, 2017 @ 9:47am
I'll eventually get around to updating this one too. Sorry about that.
SleweD 14 Apr, 2017 @ 9:34am
Bythe way it works fine on 1.6 for me, the only issues is it crashes on theme editor load and there's a black flickering square visible in the middle of the moon during dawn and dusk.
Katalepsis  [author] 25 Feb, 2017 @ 4:18am
Haven't played in months, not sure it even works with latest updates. Will check later and let you know. In any case, the options are accessed by pressing the moon button in the main toolbar
Starlight 25 Feb, 2017 @ 12:36am
I have installed the mod but there are no options to config it
N v K 29 Nov, 2016 @ 9:02am
doesnt work with 1.6
catnip | leadfoot 31 Oct, 2016 @ 4:25pm
good job
Katalepsis  [author] 16 Oct, 2016 @ 2:16am
Um. I am not British. I merely live in the UK. Also, English is my 4th language so be grateful it's as good as it is already :p Could be worse! Finally, could you tell me where these errors are so I can fix them, at least?
EvilSooty999 13 Oct, 2016 @ 4:44pm
Yeah, probably something in all the other mods I have. Thanks for looking into it!
Katalepsis  [author] 13 Oct, 2016 @ 4:28pm
I can't reproduce the issue so its definitely not due to a game update or anything like that... could be your gpu or some other mod you have, or maybe running out of video ram, no idea... sorry
EvilSooty999 12 Oct, 2016 @ 5:15pm
Thanks a lot!
Katalepsis  [author] 12 Oct, 2016 @ 5:14pm
Hmm, that's odd. I'll have a look into it tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know
EvilSooty999 12 Oct, 2016 @ 5:10pm
Love the mod, but have one small problem with it: a flickering pixel in the middle of the moon. Does anyone else get this? I have tonnes of mods installed so maybe there's a conflict somewhere. Thanks.

WOW! Way COOL! This mod will add a touch of realism to any city! Thank-you for sharing. Two thumbs up, fav'd and subscribed. Good Luck with this mod and all your future endeavors.

Thanks
fuzzyherbivore 1 Sep, 2016 @ 10:28am
Yeah I thought it might need digging a lot deeper... thanks for the answer!
Katalepsis  [author] 31 Aug, 2016 @ 1:51pm
That would be ideal but it's beyond my knowledge at this stage, it requires more deep understanding of unity engine and how they coded the whole sky. This mod just changes things that are already there so to speak. For example, if you make the moon very large, during sundown you will see that the moon is behind the sun, as well as at the oposite side on the horizon, so I think they have put the moon on the same spot as the sun is in the sky matrix. Anyhow, its all beyond me at the moment, but I'm trying to learn more! Maybe in the future I will be able to to that :)
fuzzyherbivore 31 Aug, 2016 @ 1:43pm
Really fantastic! Any chance to make this behave astronomically more correct, i.e. have the moon rise/set during daytime (unless it's full moon)? I guess this would be tricky...
Katalepsis  [author] 29 Aug, 2016 @ 4:03pm
I just use 4096 for skybox, even this mod does already :p
DefCynodont 29 Aug, 2016 @ 3:47pm
Opps, almost forgot, turn off FXAA Anti-aliasing, It kills stars better then iron :P Use MSAA Anti-aliasing at 16 instead.
