Manufacturer's Touching Everything fixes compatibility with this mod and seems to ensure that it works with 1.3.
Go grab MT and MTE.
LagiaDOS 16 Jun, 2017 @ 12:45am
Is it working for 1.3?
Tawoorie 19 May, 2017 @ 11:58pm
is it compatible with Manufacturer's Touch?

it would be much better if it gave you the option to name ur weapons like by using some sort of crafting station

Thundercraft The only way to know for sure would be to give it a test, but there shouldn't be any issues. If there are, please report them and I'll see if theres anything I can do.

I'm very tempted to give this a try. But I use several mods which add new weapon types, including random weapons. As long as they don't try to modify the way weapons are name, will those be compatible?

Altered Nova, no, I can almost guarentee it won't work in tandem with another weapon name mod. The reason being that I can't get weapon.config.patches working, so am forced to use dirty edits to replace the names. For 99% of people who only need one names mod, this will not be a problem. For you, it will.

Is this mod compatible with other mods that add new gun names? I'd like to use this with a mod on the Chucklefish Community Forums called "Upgraded Gun Names - Borderlands-like gun names," if possible.

It now works with FU! Other mods though might be a different story. If anyone runs into issues with a specific mod lemme know...

Oberic - I'm aware. But for some reason I had issues using weaponnames.config.patchs, they weren't working. Hence the dirty edits. I'll look into it though, maybe I'm doing something stupid.
Oberic 27 Aug, 2016 @ 12:19am
For maximum compatibility, you should just use a .patch file and add the new names, not remove anything. Removing anything that other mods potentially reference causes problems.
Outright replacing anything that other mods potentially use (rather than op add path editing) will always cause problems.

A lot of people seem to be using FU so I'll see if I can find a compatibility fix.

It won't do anything. I've tested it - gun names use vanilla generation
