also fu says it breaks with this
Nothing has changed with Starbound that would break it, so should work just as good as ever. I doubt a future update would break it anyhow.
It isn't going to change existing moons at all aka already generated moons. Already generated moons can include many that you haven't yet. So you'd need to scroll out on your navigation to sections of the universe that haven't generated yet. Otherwise you won't see any changes.
I don't think you need the warning on your description either about needing an update.
I did have to update my Variable Planet Sizes mod to be compatible though - since this mod changes the moon-specific gravity override and my mod deletes it (so moon gravity depends on planet size/mass itself). But now that's compatible too.
>FU compatibility patch
I've just looked partway into it. The edits from terrestrial_worlds.config.patch do not seem incompatible.
This mod changes the primary regions of underground. FU adds new secondaries. Although FU adds more possible primaries for the core, and this mod does not.
I still need to look into any biome edits between the two, but so far so good. Rather, so far I haven't found a need for it. But the biomes edits may have something else to say.
You certainly have an opinion there, opposite of my own. But while you are entitled to your own opinion, you aren't entitled to your own facts. You are parroting rumors and slander, not fact.
>loaded with stolen work
Oh? Please point out anything currently in there. They'd be glad to remove it if they missed anything.
https://github.com/sayterdarkwynd/FrackinUniverse
I mean it should be easy since it is "loaded" with stolen work and any evidence will be in plain sight.
>intentional sabotage
Again... point out one thing in the actual assets that "sabotages" anything.
>It's also a nightmare to debug
It is? I've never had a problem doing so with my mods. What mods have you made where you need to debug with FU? Seems unlikely you would in the first place since you hate FU.
Please don't mention an FU compatibility patch. The last thing we need is another overhaul author threatening to bury a mod and siphon its audience, FU is a very toxic, cancerous thing that's loaded with stolen work and intentional sabotage of mods whose author FU's creator has disagreements with. I wouldn't trust FU as far as I could throw it. And besides that? It completely ruins the core Starbound experience.
It's also a nightmare to debug since you can't turn small features on and off like you could if you were using a small collection of mods. That's why I always suggest subscribing to Steam collections of known compatible mods rather than using mod overhauls. Overhauls are often buggy, problematic, loaded with stolen work, hugely incompatible, difficult to debug, and frankly run by narcissistic sociopaths.
I've never had a good experience with an overhaul mod.
Does it work with FU? I don't know, I haven't tested it yet but it's quite unlikely as FU messes with a lot of stuff.
The biomes are spawning as intended as you can see here [imgur.com]. Heck, I've even unpacked the mod and checked the files and everything is in order and moreover the log file doesn't have any issues with the mod.
My Starbound is somewhat heavily modded (although I don't use FU) and it still works. My guess is that people are either using FU that is known to have compatibility issues with most things as it totally overhauls the game or they are just assuming that every moon will have the biomes on them, which is wrong as they are quite rare (trust me, I visited a fricking lots of moons to test it.)
Anyways, I was willing to fix this mod but so far it seems it is not broken. May require more testing but I'm confident that it works.
Could it be?!?
For what it is worth from a fan, be encouraged to see if you can get it up and running, it is a mod that should have been in the game from the start, and will be sorely missed.
Cheers.
Seriously, OP, you need to either hide this mod or change its name to say that it's dead. At the very least you could say so in the description.

Now, let's see. Since August 2016 we've had what, three major content updates? Four? One of which radically changed the moon biomes by adding the Erchius ghost, and another which radically changed space exploration and world generation. I wonder why it doesn't work.
UPDATED- 30 Aug, 2016 @ 11:20pm
Blasted, Carboanaceous, Junkyard, Ice caves, Shadow caves, Geode.
biomes i have not found:
Erchius Sea (unless its not a "sea"), Crystal caves, Metallic core
There is no way.
Any mod that adds custom assets to random planet generation, especially custom dungeons, monsters, and biomes, will result in broken planets after uninstall. The only way to correct this is to delete the affected .planet files or, more drastically, wipe the entire universe.
