did you install both the addon and the main mod? also, I think FU called their customisable ship byos as well, but this is NOT my mod. you can use my mod i think if you dont choose byos from FU itself. Warning though, this might work but is not supported, I've only heard some other user mention its working

I tried multiple methods to get it to work but still no good. I deleted a majority of my mods. does FU interfere?

I've not tried it, but i'm assuming it is. the mod mostly checks for the race name, and unless they actually changed the race name in the source files, it shouldnt be a problem.
