BRILLIANT idea! Hope Valve puts this in-game. Imagine heavy-knighting with this thing, or even just having it spray "woodchips" instead of bullets and be an insta-kill in melee. It could still use "ammo" (gas) and either function as a less-accurate stock minigun that deters melee from the other classes who can all pretty easily outspeed heavy, or even as an ammo-based speedbooster for him!

I would add two or three barrels on each side so it would make some kind of sense

I'm thinking it's a primary melee that can cleave through multiple targets and makes the Heavy run real fast. That'd really shake up the Heavy playstyle!

I'm picturing using this with the L4D homer chainsaw sound mod.

This should be a melee weapon, Heavy is the slowest class in the game so his primary can't be short-range or else he can't reach anyone. Also, this shouldn't shoot because that's silly.
however, I think a chainsaw works better for pyro because he's short-range and it could cause bleed instead of fire.

The Bio Breaker isn't in the game.

Should have slower ammo consume rate, and when firing, move speed is not reduced, but range is the range of a melee weapon.

*Damage to be 100% Stronger

This isnt a bad idea at all. Just make it not fire bullets, give it a good Stat that would involve chainsawing your enemies, and BAM. Whole new idea for the primary of Heavies. Status could be something like -

(Remember, Status might be a bit overpowered because it replaces a primary)
+ On kill - Fills Bloodlust meter. Takes 3 Kills to fill Bloodlust.
+Use Right Mouse to Activate BloodLust. When BloodLust is active, Move 100% Faster, Increase melee hit speed to be 100% faster, and increase damage to be 100% Faster. (Double most regular Stats). BlooduLust would last 20 Seconds.

If not in BLoodlust (Regular Stat) -
+ 50% Damage
+On hit, Cause Bleed Damage
+The less ammo you have left (Chainsaw Fuel) the more damage you do
+The longer you chainsaw a single enemy, the more damage they take from the chainsaw.

Honestly I can see how this could possibly be a Primary. It's still a weapon that will do a lot of damage and it would also make the heavy a much more interesting class to use. Sure it dose seem like a melee weapon at first but imagine that heavy out of nowhere and you are dead. The stats would have to be something like maybe the Half Zatiochi but if it is refined then I can see how it would be just evil for a heavy to he holding this thing. Nothing is more fucked up then having a big dude chainsaw a little puny baby man. XD

Have gun barrels come out of the side of the chainsaw, where the blade meets the engine, then it will make sense. I will tell my friend of this mod and he could help you with it "model wise" think about it and message me back about it, if yes then great! If no, then still great, because I am still telling him about it anyways! I am pretty sure with alot of hard work, this will become an actual weapon on TF2. And so far, I am the one with the biggest comment on this mod :D Please think about it :)
